Toussaint will start Thursday's series opener at Colorado, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Manager Brian Snitker indicated earlier in the week Toussaint may rejoin the rotation in the coming days, and he'll do so Thursday against the Rockies. The right-hander has pitched well since joining the big-league club after the All-Star break with a 3.60 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 40:15 K:BB across 40 innings.

Cueto was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a strained right elbow.

Cueto was tagged for six runs over 3.2 innings by the Brewers on Tuesday, and he'll now be sidelined for at least the next 10 days. According to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area, manager Gabe Kapler said the right-hander has been battling the elbow issue for about a week, though the team remains optimistic it will be a short stint on the injured list.

Freeland exited Wednesday's start against the Rangers with a left hip impingement, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

Freeland faced only five batters and threw 21 pitches prior to being remove from the contest, and he ended up allowing one run on zero hits with two walks and a strikeout in one frame. It's not believed to be a serious injury, so there's a chance he's able to make his next scheduled turn through the rotation versus the Giants early next week.

Freeland was removed in the second inning of his start Wednesday against the Rangers with an apparent injury, Chris Halicke of SI.com reports. He retired three hitters and walked two of the five batters he faced before departing.

Freeland lasted only 21 pitches before heading to the dugout after a meeting with a trainer on the mound. An explanation for his early exit isn't yet known, but expect manager Bud Black to provide more details on the matter after the game.

The Rockies placed Gray on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with right forearm tightness, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

After exiting his start against the Dodgers over the weekend with the forearm issue, the Rockies were initially optimistic that Gray wouldn't miss a turn through the rotation. His ability to complete a bullpen session Tuesday without incident seemingly backed up that sentiment, but Gray's forearm was evidently still bothering him a day after the workout, prompting the Rockies to deactivate him. Chi Chi Gonzalez, who has made 16 starts this season before recently shifting to the bullpen, likely represents the top candidate to step in to make a spot start for Gray in Thursday's home game against Atlanta.

Nola and the Phillies won't play the Nationals on Wednesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in Washington.

The two teams will instead conclude their series with a nine-inning regulation game Thursday, which was slated to be an off day for both Philadelphia and Washington. According to Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia, the Phillies will push Nola back a day in the schedule to start Thursday's make-up contest, but the other members of the rotation shouldn't be affected by the postponement.

Williams didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Marlins, allowing one unearned run on four hits over 4.1 innings. He struck out four without walking a batter.

Getting a spot start in the second game of a makeshift doubleheader after the two teams completed a suspended game from April earlier in the day, Williams held Miami in check over 57 pitches (44 strikes), but he didn't last long enough to qualify for the win. The 29-year-old has been very effective in a swingman role since joining the Mets, posting a 0.69 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 9:4 K:BB over 13 innings while logging starts in two of his four appearances.

Cabrera (0-1) took the loss Tuesday, giving up three runs on seven hits over four innings as the Marlins were downed 3-1 by the Mets. He struck out two without walking a batter.

The 23-year-old got the hook after getting hit hard in the fourth inning, and Cabrera tossed only 53 pitches (37 strikes). With Trevor Rogers (personal) expected to return this week, it's not clear whether the Marlins will keep Cabrera in a starting role or move the youngster to the bullpen for September.

Gomber (9-9) allowed four runs on four hits and six walks while striking out two over 4.1 innings in a loss to the Rangers on Tuesday.

Gomber needed 89 pitches to get through 13 outs in Tuesday's outing as he struggled significantly with his command. The six walks were the most he's had since his 2021 debut against the Dodgers on April 4, during which he issued seven free passes in just three innings. He had no trouble in the opening frame Tuesday but then went on to give up four runs over the next 3.1 innings, including two solo home runs. The left-hander now has three losses in his last four outings and owns a 4.53 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 113:41 K:BB over 115.1 innings. He's tentatively lined up for a meeting against Atlanta his next time out.

Cueto (7-7) took the loss against Milwaukee on Tuesday, pitching 3.2 innings and allowing six runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out one.

The veteran hurler was initially expected to start Monday's series opener, but his outing was instead pushed to Tuesday after he reported feeling under the weather. The extra day of rest didn't help Cueto tame the Brewers' bats, as he was lit up for a season-worst 10 hits and six runs in just 3.2 frames. The right-hander also notched a season-low one strikeout in the loss, and he has registered only six punchouts over his past 13.2 frames. Cueto's next outing could come this weekend in a big series against the Dodgers, who trail San Francisco by only half a game for the best record in the National League.
