Keller (4-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Rockies, allowing six runs on seven hits and a walk across 5.2 innings. He struck out three.

Keller cruised through his first four innings, holding Colorado without a hit. However, it was a different story in the fifth -- Keller would give up five straight hits to open the frame, allowing the Rockies to tie the game 3-3, before allowing a three-run homer to Mickey Moniak to cap a six-run frame. It's the first loss in Keller's last five starts after he held opponents to three runs or fewer in four straight outings coming into Wednesday. His ERA now sits at 3.59 with a 1.08 WHIP and 38:15 K:BB across nine starts (52.2 innings) this year. Keller will look to rebound his next time out, which is tentatively scheduled for next week on the road in St. Louis.

Misiorowski left his start Wednesday against the Padres due to quad cramping, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Misiorowski's quad began to bother him while he was warming up for the eighth inning, and manager Pat Murphy opted not to push things after the 24-year-old had already made it through seven frames for the first time this season. Misiorowski has now thrown 18.1 consecutive scoreless innings to begin the month of May and owns a 29:4 K:BB across his last three starts. Assuming his next start doesn't get pushed back, he's lined up to face the Cubs at Wrigley Field early next week.

Quintana did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Pirates, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out two,

Quintana was pulled after throwing 73 pitches over four innings, though the left-hander has now held opponents to two earned runs or fewer in each of his last four outings. Through seven starts (34 innings), Quintana is 1-2 with a 3.97 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 16:16 K:BB. The left-hander is currently lined for a home matchup with the Rangers his next time out.

Misiorowski was removed from Wednesday's game against the Padres with a possible leg injury, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Misiorowski struck out 10 batters over seven shutout innings Wednesday. He returned to the mound to prepare for the eighth inning but seemingly tweaked his leg while warming up and was pulled in favor of a reliever. The hard-throwing righty walked off the field under his own power and didn't seem to be in pain while doing so, so his removal may have been precautionary. More details on his status will likely come after the game.

Ritchie did not factor into Wednesday's decision against the Cubs, allowing one run on two hits and three walks while striking out four across 4.1 innings.

Ritchie kept the Cubs off the board through the first four innings of Wednesday's game. He allowed two baserunners in the fifth before being replaced by Tyler Kinley, with the latter giving up an RBI single to Nico Hoerner for the Cubs' only run of the game. Ritchie ran up his pitch count to 87 while tossing 53 strikes (60.9 percent strike rate), but he failed to complete five frames for the first time through four MLB starts. He sits at a 3.32 ERA and 1.43 WHIP across 21.2 innings this season. His next start is slated for next week on the road against the Marlins.

Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said that Garrett will be recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville to start the Marlins' series finale in Minnesota on Thursday, Kyle Sielaff of Marlins.tv reports.

Garrett will be plugged into the Miami rotation as a replacement for lefty Robby Snelling (elbow), who was placed on the 15-day injured list after being diagnosed with a UCL sprain. After missing the entire 2025 season while recovering from UCL revision surgery with an internal brace, Garrett failed to break camp with the Marlins but has been a lights-out performer at Jacksonville to begin the season. Through six starts at Triple-A, Garrett has submitted a 2.30 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 32:15 K:BB in 31.1 innings. With Snelling's elbow injury likely to keep him on the shelf beyond the 15-day minimum, Garrett should be in line for an extended run in the Miami rotation.

The Marlins placed Snelling on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a left elbow UCL sprain.

It's a brutal blow for the Marlins and for Snelling, who just made his major-league debut last week. Whether the rookie southpaw undergoes season-ending surgery hasn't been determined yet, but it's a distinct possibility given the nature of his injury. Braxton Garrett is set to enter the Marlins' rotation in Snelling's place.

Singer is hopeful of making his next start despite being hit in the right foot by a comebacker during Tuesday's outing versus the Nationals, Charlie Clifford of NBC 5 Cincinnati reports.

A 106.7-mph comebacker off the bat of Daylen Lile in the second inning caught Singer in the foot. He stayed in the game but allowed five of the next 12 batters to reach base and three of them to score, so he might have been affected by the injury. However, Singer feels better than expected Wednesday, and it seems he should be good to go Sunday in Cleveland, barring a setback.

Paddack signed a one-year deal with the Reds on Wednesday and is slated to start Saturday's game against the Guardians in Cleveland, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Paddack will be taking over the rotation spot of Rhett Lowder (shoulder), who was placed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday in a corresponding transaction. Though the 30-year-old righty will provide the Reds with a battle-tested arm at the back end of the rotation, he'll need to display vastly improved form with his new club to ensure he maintains a starting role on anything more than a short-term basis. Paddack won a spot in the Miami rotation coming out of spring training but went 0-5 with a 7.63 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 27:10 K:BB over 30.2 innings before the Marlins cut him loose last week.

The Reds placed Lowder on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with right shoulder discomfort.

Lowder was forced to exit his start last Thursday with right shoulder trouble and was subsequently given an injection in the AC joint. He does not have any structural damage, so Lowder has a chance to return soon, but it will depend on how he does after he's cleared to ramp up throwing again. Chris Paddack was signed to take Lowder's roster spot and should also hold down a slot in the rotation while Lowder is out.
