Huascar Ynoa SP | LAA
Braves' Huascar Ynoa: Back in majors
Ynoa was recalled from Atlanta's alternate training site Thursday.
He takes the roster spot of Tommy Milone (elbow inflammation). Ynoa could work in a multi-inning role out of the bullpen in the short term.

Tommy Milone SP | SEA
Braves' Tommy Milone: To IL with elbow inflammation
Milone was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday with left elbow inflammation.
If this is anything other than very minor inflammation, Milone's season is probably over. He gave up eight earned runs in 3.1 innings in his last start. Huascar Ynoa was recalled in a corresponding move. With Cole Hamels and Max Fried expected back next week, the Braves won't necessarily need to find another replacement option for the rotation.

Kyle Wright SP | CHC
Braves' Kyle Wright: Receiving another turn
Wright is listed as the Braves' probable starter for Sunday's game against the Nationals, Matt Weyrich of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Wright delivered a dud in his return to the Atlanta rotation earlier this week, giving up five runs on seven hits -- including three home runs -- and two walks over four frames. However, due to a lack of healthy and/or dependable alternates, Wright will get the chance to redeem himself in Washington. Fantasy managers shouldn't have nearly as much faith in Wright as the Braves do, as the right-hander's 7.86 ERA (7.20 FIP) and 1.99 WHIP in 44.2 career innings show no evidence that he's big-league ready.

Johan Oviedo SP | BOS
Cardinals' Johan Oviedo: Could return Monday
Oviedo, who is on the COVID-19 injured list, could return to the rotation for Monday's doubleheader against the Brewers, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
He came into contact with someone who had exposure to the virus and tested positive, but Oviedo is symptom-free and has tested negative. He will continue self-isolating and receiving daily testing. General manager John Mozeliak said a Sunday return is unlikely but Oviedo might be able to start one half of Monday's doubleheader against the Brewers if he continues to test negative and shows no symptoms.

Pablo Lopez SP | MIN
Marlins' Pablo Lopez: Roughed up in loss
Lopez (3-4) allowed seven runs on four hits (one home run) and four walks while striking out two across 1.2 innings Wednesday as he took the loss against the Braves.
Lopez allowed the first three batters to reach in the second inning but looked as though he may escape with minimal damage after he got the next two Braves hitters out via a fielder's choice and a sacrifice fly. Unfortunately, that was not the case as the next four batters reached base, resulting in five runs scored, three on a homer by Travis d'Arnaud. Lopez was immediately yanked following the long ball and was replaced by Jordan Yamamoto, who gave up four more runs before finally recording the third out of the inning. That's now back-to-back rough outings for the 24-year-old, whose ERA has shot up to a 4.50 after he maintained a 1.83 through his first seven starts. Lopez will look to get back on track as he lines up to take the mound Monday against the Phillies.

Tommy Milone SP | SEA
Braves' Tommy Milone: Takes no-decision in rough outing
Milone allowed eight runs on eight hits (two home runs) and two walks while striking out four across 3.1 innings in Wednesday's 29-9 win over the Marlins. He didn't factor into the decision in the Braves' victory.
Milone was lucky to escape with a no-decision due to his offense putting up an NL-record run total. The southpaw threw a clean first frame before allowing two runs in the second, three in the third, and then three more in the fourth after Grant Dayton couldn't hold the runners he inherited from Milone. Since being shipped to the Braves on Aug. 30, Milone has a 14.90 ERA to go along with a 2.48 WHIP in three starts.

Johan Oviedo SP | BOS
Cardinals' Johan Oviedo: Lands on COVID-19 IL
Oviedo was placed on the injured list Thursday.
The team didn't specify the reason for Oviedo landing on an unspecified injured list, but the team needed to clear a 40-man roster spot with the move, so it is either the COVID-19 IL or the 45-day IL, and there is no known injury. The Cardinals have a doubleheader seemingly every other day down the stretch, so they could use Oviedo back as soon as possible. He may not have the virus, but could have been exposed, so if he can get multiple negative tests, he could be back in short order.

Merrill Kelly SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Merrill Kelly: Undergoes surgery
Kelly (shoulder) underwent surgery to treat thoracic outlet syndrome, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
The procedure involves the removal of a rib with the goal to relieve pressure on the nerves in the shoulder. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo described the surgery as "perfect," and Kelly is expected to be ready for the 2021 season.

Clayton Kershaw SP | LAD
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Takes no-decision
Kershaw took a no-decision during Wednesday's win over the Diamondbacks, giving up four runs (three earned) on four hits and a pair of walks while striking out three across five innings.
It wasn't quite the same outing Kershaw put together against Arizona last week when he blanked the Diamondbacks across six innings. Of course, this start came at Chase Field, where the 32-year-old has experienced a fair share of struggles with a 7-9 career record. While Kershaw's three strikeouts were a season low, he still holds an impressive 44:8 K:BB overall. The southpaw will look for his sixth win of the season Tuesday at San Diego.

Tyler Anderson SP | LAA
Giants' Tyler Anderson: Hurls six scoreless frames
Anderson (2-3) earned the win Wednesday after holding the Mariners scoreless across six innings. He allowed three hits and a walk while striking out four.
The southpaw snapped a two-game losing streak to pick up his second win of the season. Anderson threw 65-of-100 pitches for strikes while blanking the Mariners across six innings. It was the fourth time this season that Anderson did not allow a run. The 30-year-old will look to continue improving upon a 4.50 ERA and 1.35 WHIP during a rematch at Seattle on Tuesday.
