Mike Clevinger RP | PIT
Padres' Mike Clevinger: Starting Thursday or Friday
Clevinger will make his debut with the Padres either Thursday or Friday, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.
Clevinger started Wednesday in his final outing for Cleveland, and he'll have a layoff that's slightly longer than normal before debuting for the Padres. The right-hander has made just four starts this year after missing time due to a violation of team rules. He carries a 3.18 ERA and 1.37 WHIP over 22.2 innings, and his strikeout rate is down from where it was a year ago.

Trevor Rogers SP | BAL
Marlins' Trevor Rogers: Beats Mets for first win
Rogers (1-0) picked up the win against the Mets on Monday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks across five innings pitched. He struck out five.
After five walks prevented Rogers from working past the fourth inning in his first start, the left-hander issued just two free passes in Monday's outing. Rogers spotted the Mets a 2-0 lead in the third and it was looking like he was going to be on the hook for a loss for a lot of the game. Fortunately for the rookie, Miami rallied for four runs off Jacob deGrom in the top of the sixth to take the lead. Alex Vesia replaced Rogers to start the sixth and the Marlins' bullpen held the lead to get Rogers his first career victory. Rogers is slated to make his next start Sunday against the Rays.

Brandon Woodruff SP | MIL
Brewers' Brandon Woodruff: Lands on paternity list
Woodruff was placed on the paternity list Monday.
He must miss the next team game, but no more than three games, so Woodruff will be activated prior to his next scheduled start this weekend against Cleveland.

Ranger Suarez SP | BOS
Phillies' Ranger Suarez: Activated from IL
Suarez was activated from the COVID-19 injured list Monday.
He has yet to pitch in the majors this season due to the virus. Suarez logged a 3.14 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 42 strikeouts in 48.2 innings in the majors last season. He should provide length out of the bullpen going forward.

Humberto Mejia SP | NYM
Diamondbacks' Humberto Mejia: Dealt to Arizona
Mejia was traded from Miami to Arizona along with Caleb Smith and Julio Frias in exchange for Starling Marte, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
Mejia was a bit of a late bloomer, as he was added to Miami's 40-man roster this past offseason despite the fact he had not pitched above High-A. He logged earned run averages below 2.30 at Low-A and High-A last year and has a 5.40 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB in 10 innings (three appearances) in the majors this season. The Diamondbacks will likely assign him to Double-A or Triple-A in 2021.

Eric Lauer SP | LAD
Brewers' Eric Lauer: Won't start Monday
Lauer won't start Monday against the Pirates, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
There was speculation that Lauer could return to the active roster to start Monday's contest, but the Brent Suter will start instead as the Brewers plan to lean on their bullpen. It's unclear when Lauer could rejoin the 28-man roster.

Tony Gonsolin RP | KC
Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Will get another start
Manager Dave Roberts indicated Sunday that Gonsolin will make his next start, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Gonsolin has been moving up and down between the big-league club and the team's alternate training site through much of the season, but it appears that the right-hander is gaining stability in the rotation thanks to his excellent work thus far. While he has yet to pick up a win, Gonsolin has allowed only one earned run in 17.2 innings while posting a 0.79 WHIP and 17:5 K:BB on the season. It has not yet been announced when he will next take the mound or if another starter will get bumped from the rotation when Walker Buehler (hand) is activated from the injured list.

Mike Clevinger RP | PIT
Padres' Mike Clevinger: Sent to San Diego
Clevinger was traded from Cleveland to San Diego on Monday, freelance baseball writer Robert Murray reports. The Padres will also receive outfielder Greg Allen and a player to be named later, while the Indians get back pitcher Cal Quantrill, outfielder Josh Naylor, catcher Austin Hedges, shortstop Gabriel Arias, pitcher Joey Cantillo and second baseman Owen Miller, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
It's unusual for a contender to ship out a pitcher as good as Clevinger, though Cleveland appeared to be done with the righty ever since he violated team rules by going out on the town following a game in Chicago in early August. From an on-field perspective, Clevinger hasn't looked quite the same in his four starts, as his 3.18 ERA comes with a 5.60 FIP, though the sample size is of course very small. He's seen his strikeout rate collapse from 33.9 percent last season to 22.6 percent this year, while his walk rate has jumped from 7.4 percent to 11.8 percent, but four mediocre starts aren't nearly enough to give reason to think that his talent level has meaningfully changed.

Tommy Milone SP | SEA
Braves' Tommy Milone: Struggles in debut with new team
Milone gave up seven runs on eight hits and struck out two over 2.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Phillies on Sunday.
Milone, who was traded from the Orioles to the Braves earlier Sunday, struggled in his debut with his new team. Didi Gregorius and Rhys Hoskins clubbed homers off the southpaw before he was relieved by Luke Jackson. Milone now has a 5.68 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 33 strikeouts in 31.2 innings across seven starts. Perhaps without a whirlwind of events, Milone will perform better in his next start, currently expected to be during next weekend's series versus the Nationals.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Dominates Cleveland
Wainwright (3-0) allowed two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out nine across nine innings to earn the win Sunday against Cleveland.
Wainwright logged 122 pitches to turn in the 23rd complete game of his career and his first in four seasons. He allowed a two-run homer to Tyler Naquin in the second inning, but went on to dominate from there with the only other extra-base hit coming on a ground-rule double from Cesar Hernandez. Wainwright racked up an impressive 31 called strikes while recording his highest strikeout total of the campaign. Overall, Wainwright has now maintained a 2.65 ERA with 25 strikeouts across 34 innings this season. He is in line to draw his next start Saturday at the Cubs.
