Jose Urena SP | LAA
Marlins' Jose Urena: Records quality start in win
Urena (9-12) tallied a quality start in Friday's win over the Mets. He went six innings and allowed one run on five hits and four walks while striking out four.
Urena finished the season off very well as he has a 1.20 ERA and 0.97 WHIP over his last 30 innings. He also lowered his ERA sub-four for the first time all season, ending at 3.98 on the year. While Urena isn't much more than an innings-eater, he will likely have a spot in next year's rotation.

Anthony DeSclafani RP | ARI
Reds' Anthony DeSclafani: Takes loss in ho-hum outing
DeSclafani (7-8) surrendered three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out six over five innings, taking the loss Friday against Pittsburgh.
DeSclafani's day got off to a rough start, giving up two in the first inning and another in the fourth before exiting down a run. He was saddled with his fourth straight loss in as many outings and finishes the season with a 4.93 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with a 108:30 K:BB over 115 frames. The 28-year-old certainly took a step backward in 2018 after posting a 3.28 ERA over 123.1 innings a year ago.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Saddled with loss vs. Cubs
Wainwright (2-4) allowed four runs on five hits and one walk while striking out seven over five innings, taking the loss Friday against Chicago.
Wainwright didn't get off to a smooth start, giving up two runs in the first inning followed by one in the fourth and another in the fifth. He'd exit in a 4-0 game after tossing 61 of 94 pitches for strikes. Friday's loss was a big blow for St. Louis, a team that's still making a push for a chance at the wild-card game for two games remaining in the season. If the Cardinals do end up making the postseason, Wainwright could serve as a valuable piece of the rotation given his playoff experience.

Kyle Hendricks SP | LAA
Cubs' Kyle Hendricks: Delivers much-needed victory vs. Cardinals
Hendricks (14-11) allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two over eight innings, picking up the win Friday against St. Louis.
Hendricks was spotted an early 4-0 lead and didn't give up a run until the sixth inning. The 28-year-old secured a key victory for the Cubs, who are still looking to clinch the division title with two games to go in the regular season. Hendricks owns a 3.44 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 161 strikeouts through 199 innings heading into the postseason.

Brett Kennedy RP | CIN
Padres' Brett Kennedy: Undergoes knee surgery
Kennedy underwent a procedure to debride the tendinitis in his left knee Wednesday. He is expected to resume throwing in mid-November, Jeff Sanders of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Kennedy began feeling soreness in the knee a couple weeks ago, and doctors determined that the surgical route would be best, especially with the season nearing its completion. The right-hander is expected to be fully operational by the time spring training rolls around.

Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Set for start Saturday
Strasburg will take the mound Saturday against Colorado, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.
Strasburg will make his final start of the 2018 season at Coors Field versus the red-hot Rockies. Across 21 outings this year, he's logged a 3.77 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with a 10.8 K/9.
-
Seth Lugo SP | KC
Mets' Seth Lugo: Done for season
Lugo will be unavailable this weekend due to concerns over his workload, Mike Puma of The New York Post reports.
Lugo equaled his 2017 tally in terms of innings pitched (101.1) after earning the save against the Braves on Wednesday. Across 54 appearances (five starts) with the Mets this year, Lugo logged an impressive 2.66 ERA and 1.08 WHIP. With Robert Gsellman also unavailable during the club's final series of the 2018 season, Anthony Swarzak will likely be the next man up for any save situation.

Jose Urena SP | LAA
Marlins' Jose Urena: Good to go for final start
Urena (knee) will start Friday's game against the Mets.
Urena experienced tightness in his right knee coming out of his last start Sept. 22 against the Reds, but the issue won't cause him to miss a turn in the rotation. He'll take the hill for the final time in 2018, looking to continue a strong second half during which he's compiled a 6-3 record, 3.49 ERA and 1.08 WHIP across 11 starts.

Tyler Anderson SP | LAA
Rockies' Tyler Anderson: Bullpen session coming Friday
Anderson (shoulder) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Friday, after which the Rockies will decide if he's fit to start Sunday's regular-season finale against the Nationals or be available in relief, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Anderson had been lined up for two starts in the final week of the regular season, but that plan was foiled after he was scratched prior to his scheduled turn Monday against the Phillies due to left shoulder inflammation. The shoulder issue doesn't appear to be a significant one for Anderson, who was able to play catch off flat ground Wednesday, keeping hope alive for a return later in the week. The bullpen session should provide a better barometer of Anderson's health, but even if he gains clearance to start Sunday, he could face a more limited pitch count than normal. If Anderson is ruled out and the Rockies are still vying for a postseason spot, German Marquez would likely take the hill on three days' rest.

Jon Gray SP | TEX
Rockies' Jon Gray: Making second start of week
Gray is scheduled to start Saturday's game against the Nationals, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
After posting a 7.88 ERA and 2.00 WHIP over his first four starts in September, Gray bounced back in impressive fashion while starting Monday against the Phillies on short notice. Though he was initially scheduled to take the hill Tuesday, Gray was pressed into action a day earlier than anticipated after Tyler Anderson was scratched with a sore shoulder. Gray proceeded to toss seven innings of one-run ball en route to the win, keeping the Rockies' playoff hopes alive in the process. With the team having yet to punch its postseason ticket, Gray will take the hill Saturday for what could be the most important start to date of his young career.
