Kyle Hendricks SP | LAA
Cubs' Kyle Hendricks: No-decision against Brewers
Hendricks gave up nine hits and four earned runs with a walk and a strikeout over five innings in a no-decision against the Brewers on Friday.
After shutting down the Marlins in his first start of the year, Hendricks proved a bit more vulnerable against the Brewers as he surrendered the four runs on two-run homers to Eric Thames and Travis Shaw. The outing raised his ERA from 1.50 to 4.09 and opponents are hitting .283 off him so far this year. Hendricks will look to get back on track in his next start against the Pirates on Thursday.

Brandon Woodruff SP | MIL
Brewers' Brandon Woodruff: Leaves early against Cubs
Woodruff lasted just 3.2 innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Friday, giving up two earned runs on four hits while striking out three and walking two.
It was an inefficient outing for the right-hander, who needed 95 pitches to get through the stint. He's an unproven commodity at the big-league level, so he'll need to show a bit more consistency before he becomes a decent fantasy waiver-wire candidate.

Luis Castillo SP | CHW
Reds' Luis Castillo: Struggles against Pirates on Friday
Castillo (0-2) took the loss against the Pirates on Friday, allowing four earned runs on six hits in five innings while striking out three and walking three in a 14-3 defeat.
Castillo was touted as potential breakout candidate coming into the year after he struck out 98 batters in his first 89.1 big-league innings last year to go along with a 3.12 ERA and 1.07 WHIP, but Friday's performance marked his second consecutive lackluster start to begin the new season. The 25-year-old is clearly talented and has shown he has devastating stuff, but his 9.00 ERA through his first 10 innings is still concerning. He'll look to get back on track in his next start against the Phillies on April 11.

Trevor Williams RP | TEX
Pirates' Trevor Williams: Gets second win of season
Williams (2-0) picked up his second win of the season Friday, giving up two earned runs on 10 hits, striking out four and walking one in Pittsburgh's 14-3 blowout win over the Reds.
After not allowing a hit to the Tigers over six innings in his first start of the season, Williams allowed 10 to the Reds in his second go-around but managed to limit the damage. He's sporting a sparkling 1.59 ERA through his first two starts of the season, but that should be taken with a grain of salt considering he put up a 4.07 mark in 150.1 innings last year and he has a 1.41 WHIP through his first 11.1 innings in 2018. He's a matchup-dependent streaming option for fantasy purposes for the time being.

Kyle Hendricks SP | LAA
Cubs' Kyle Hendricks: Takes no-decision Friday
Hendricks took a no-decision Friday against the Brewers, as he allowed four earned runs over five innings of work. He gave up nine hits and a walk, while striking out only one.
Hendricks took a step back from his first start of the season, in which he allowed only a single run on four hits over six innings against the Marlins. He was victimized by a pair of a two-run home runs by Eric Thames and Travis Shaw, and he didn't miss many bats either. Hendricks will look to limit the long ball and put together a better start his next time out Thursday at home against Pittsburgh.

German Marquez SP | SD
Rockies' German Marquez: Blasted by Braves on Friday
Marquez (0-1) took the loss against the Braves on Friday, coughing up seven runs on seven hits and six walks over 4.2 innings while striking out two.
He couldn't find the strike zone on a cold and blustery day at Coors Field, and when he did throw a strike the Braves hitters turned it around with authority -- four of the seven hits Marquez gave up went for extra bases, including Ozzie Albies' first-inning solo shot. The young right-hander has a disturbing 6:10 K:BB through his first 9.2 innings this season, but it should be noted that control was not an issue for him in the minors. Marquez will look to rebound Wednesday at home against the Padres.

Kenta Maeda SP | NYY
Dodgers' Kenta Maeda: Start skipped following rainout
Maeda will have his start this weekend skipped, Alana Rizzo of SportsNet LA reports.
Maeda was initially tabbed for Friday's game against the Giants, but the game was rained out. Instead of bumping his start back a day, the Dodgers will keep Rich Hill and Clayton Kershaw on their normal starting schedules, squeezing Maeda out of a start over the weekend. No word has come forth as to when the right-hander will make his next start, but he could line up for a turn during the two-game set with the Athletics next week.

Adrian Houser SP | SF
Brewers' Adrian Houser: Recalled from Double-A
Houser was called up from Double-A Biloxi prior to Friday's game against the Cubs, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Houser will take the spot of Corey Knebel on the active roster, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain in a corresponding move. Expect Houser to serve in low-leverage situations during his second stint in the majors. His first cup of coffee came in 2015, when he appeared in two games out of the bullpen, allowing just one hit and two walks over a pair of scoreless innings.

Dustin May SP | MIL
Dodgers' Dustin May: Dealing with injury
May will join High-A Rancho Cucamonga when he heals from an undisclosed injury, Jim Callis of MLB.com reports.
There was no report of the nature of the 21-year-old's injury, but it could be related to the undisclosed issue he dealt with last season at Low-A Great Lakes. May posted a 3.88 ERA and exhibited great control (4.3 K/BB ratio) in 23 starts last season, and he will look to build on that success at the next level upon his activation.

Kenta Maeda SP | NYY
Dodgers' Kenta Maeda: Friday's outing postponed
The Dodgers' game against San Francisco on Friday was postponed due to rain, which will push back Maeda's scheduled start, Alanna Rizzo of SportsNetLA reports.
The club has yet to provide an updated rotation for the rest of this series, so it remains to be seen whether Maeda will be pushed back a day or skipped. Maeda was expected to face Derek Holland on Friday. During his first start of the season against the Giants on Saturday, Maeda picked up a win by allowing just five hits and a walk over five scoreless innings while adding 10 strikeouts. The postponed game will be rescheduled as part of a double-header April 28.
