Jameson Taillon SP | TOR
Pirates' Jameson Taillon: Spins 6.1 scoreless against Rays
Taillon (4-2) pitched 6.1 scoreless innings with four strikeouts during Thursday's win over Tampa Bay.
Taillon was in cruise control for most of the night while pitching around nine baserunners (seven hits and two walks). He's allowed two runs or fewer in seven of 10 starts this season and sports a solid 2.97 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 7.8 K/9. A road start against the Phillies is up next for the emerging 25-year-old righty.

Clayton Kershaw SP | LAD
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Lined up to start Tuesday vs. Diamondbacks
Kershaw is lined up to start Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
He was moved up in the rotation to start Thursday's game against the Angels, which opens the possibility of Kershaw making two more starts before the All-Star break if manager Dave Roberts chooses to go that route. The Dodgers are dealing with some injuries in the rotation with Brandon McCarthy (knee) on the disabled list and Hyun-Jin Ryu nursing a sore foot. Further confirmation on Kershaw's next start should be available in the coming days, but as it stands, he figures to take the hill for the Dodgers' upcoming series opener against the Diamondbacks.

Patrick Corbin SP | TOR
Diamondbacks' Patrick Corbin: Fans six in no-decision
Corbin allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six batters through six innings during Thursday's loss to St. Louis. He didn't factor into the decision.
The lefty has now allowed just eight earned runs through 24.1 innings over his past four starts, and his ERA and WHIP down to 4.76 and 1.51 for the year, respectively. Corbin owns the potential to be a serviceable fantasy asset, and his current run is encouraging, but it still isn't out of the question to be selective with his matchups -- especially at home. It's worth noting that he has a daunting road start on deck against the Dodgers.

Hyun-Jin Ryu SP | TOR
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: X-rays negative
X-rays on Ryu's left foot came back negative Thursday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
The left-hander was sent for X-rays after his start Wednesday, but everything came back clean and there's little to suggest that he's at risk of missing his next turn in the rotation. Ryu has started to settle in of late with 18 strikeouts in his last three starts (15.2 IP), collecting two wins in that span. He's still having some trouble going deep into games, but Ryu is beginning to miss more bats and cut down on his walks.

Lance Lynn SP | STL
Cardinals' Lance Lynn: Fans seven to collect sixth win
Lynn (6-5) allowed three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out seven batters over six innings during Thursday's win over Arizona.
The Diamondbacks own a high-powered offense, so this was an encouraging bounce-back showing from Lynn after allowing 14 runs over 10.1 innings through his past two outings. He sports a 3.90 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 8.6 K/9 for the campaign, but his 5.41 FIP is still a concerning mark. Lynn lines up to face Miami at Busch Stadium in his next start.

Zack Wheeler SP | PHI
Mets' Zack Wheeler: Will start Saturday
Wheeler (biceps) was confirmed as the starting pitcher for Saturday's game against the Phillies, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
Wheeler -- who was placed on the disabled list last Wednesday with a biceps issue -- was able to get through another bullpen with no issues Wednesday, clearing the way for him to return to the Mets' rotation over the weekend. The 27-year-old owns a 5.29 ERA and 61:29 K:BB ratio through 13 starts (66.1 innings) for the Mets this season. He'll line up against a Phillies team that has produced the second fewest runs in the majors this season.

Chase Anderson RP | TEX
Brewers' Chase Anderson: Placed on DL
Anderson was placed on the 10-day disabled list Thursday with a left oblique strain.
Anderson injured his oblique while taking a swing in Wednesday's game against the Reds. It's unclear how long he'll be sidelined at this point, but he could be set to miss an extended period of time given the trickiness of oblique injuries. Jorge Lopez was recalled from Double-A Biloxi to help out in the bullpen while the Brewers figure out who will fill in for Anderson while he's sidelined.
-
Vince Velasquez RP | KC
Phillies' Vince Velasquez: Rehab start scheduled for Saturday
Velasquez (elbow) will make a minor-league rehab start for Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.
Velasquez apparently made it through his bullpen session earlier this week without issue. He is going to need at least a couple rehab starts in the minors to build up his pitch count, so he likely won't come off the disabled list until after the All-Star break.

Hyun-Jin Ryu SP | TOR
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Scatters two runs through 5.2 frames
Ryu allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out eight batters during Wednesday's loss to the Angels. He didn't factor into the decision.
The lefty has now allowed six runs through 15.2 innings over his past three starts with a respectable 3.45 ERA and excellent 10.3 K/9. With a powerful offense providing run support, Ryu has sneaky cross-category upside going forward, and his fantasy value is trending up. A home start against the Diamondbacks is up next for Ryu.
-
Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Impresses in Arizona for eighth win
Wainwright (8-5) struck out eight Diamondbacks over 6.1 innings Wednesday, giving up just two runs on eight his and a walk in a 4-3 win.
He's now turned in two consecutive sharp outings, offering some hope that Wainwright may be turning the corner after a pair of blowups earlier in June. Waino is still on the margins of fantasy relevance in most formats, but he's been a bit unlucky, plus his track record makes any sign of a hot streak intriguing.
