Tommy Milone SP | SEA
Mets' Tommy Milone: Won't start Saturday
Milone won't make his scheduled start Saturday against the Pirates due to a knee issue, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
While the Mets were already looking at alternate options for Saturday's start, this is the first mention of any sort of injury. It's unclear when the knee issue cropped up, or how long it will keep him sidelined, but more should be known once further information is released by the team. With Steven Matz (elbow) and Seth Lugo (elbow) returning from the DL in the near future, Milone likely won't return to rotation once he's healthy. Look for either Josh Smoker or Rafael Montero to take the ball for Saturday's contest in Pittsburgh.

Sammy Solis SP | SD
Nationals' Sammy Solis: Heads to extended spring training
Solis (elbow) reported to extended spring training Wednesday to continue his rehab, Mark Zuckerman of MASNsports.com reports.
After he was able to play light catch Tuesday with fellow injured teammate Joe Blanton (shoulder), Solis will now rev up his throwing program in front of team officials in Florida. Since Solis has been sidelined over a month with nerve inflammation in his left elbow, it's expected that the Nationals will take a cautious approach with his rehab. Once healthy, Solis could provide a boost to a Nationals bullpen that could surely benefit from another reliable arm in the late innings.

Nationals' Sammy Solis: Plays catch Tuesday
Solis (elbow) was able to play catch Tuesday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
Solis was shut down in mid April with an inflamed nerve in his left elbow and hasn't made much progress in his recovery over the last month, but this news suggests he may have turned a corner in his recovery. However, it will be tough to gauge how close Solis is to returning from the disabled list until he's able to get in some work off the mound.

Tommy Milone SP | SEA
Mets' Tommy Milone: May not make next start
Milone could be replaced for his scheduled Saturday start against the Pirates, Matt Ehalt of NorthJersey.com reports.
The veteran left-hander was roughed up in his last start Sunday, allowing eight runs (seven earned) over just 1.1 innings against the Angels, so manager Terry Collins isn't ruling out an alternative option. Rafael Montero or recently recalled Josh Smoker would be the likely candidates to get the call. Milone, acquired from the Brewers earlier this month, simply hasn't worked out as a starter and will likely be replaced by Steven Matz (elbow) or Seth Lugo (elbow) once they return from their DL stints in the near future.

Steven Matz RP | TB
Mets' Steven Matz: Knocked around in rehab start
Matz (elbow) allowed five earned runs on five hits, including two home runs over four innings with Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday. It was his second rehab start.
The good news is that Matz increased his pitch count from 53 to 78 and reported no issues after the start, but Las Vegas manager Pedro Lopez said he expects the 25-year-old to make at least one more rehab appearance. The Mets are desperate to get the southpaw back in their struggling rotation, so his activation may not be too far off. However, until things improve, it appears Tommy Milone and Robert Gsellman will maintain starting spots.

Clayton Kershaw SP | LAD
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Fans 10 in Tuesday's no-decision
Kershaw (7-2) allowed only one run on three hits over nine innings while striking out 10 but had to settle for a no-decision in Tuesday's extra-inning win over the Cardinals.
The left-hander was dominant once again, delivering his ninth quality start in 10 trips to the mound while lowering his ERA to 2.01 and his WHIP to 0.82, but Lance Lynn matched him nearly pitch for pitch and the game wasn't decided until the 13th inning. Kershaw will get another crack at the Cards in his next start Monday in St. Louis.

Lance Lynn SP | STL
Cardinals' Lance Lynn: Mows down 10 in Tuesday no-decision
Lynn didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Dodgers but racked up 10 strikeouts over eight innings while allowing one earned run on two hits and two walks.
The hard-throwing right-hander went toe-to-toe with Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, with a first-inning solo home run by Yasmani Grandal representing his one glaring mistake. Lynn was otherwise dominant over 123 pitches, inducing 18 swings-and-misses and setting season highs in innings pitched and strikeouts while allowing his fewest amount of hits in a 2017 start. The 30-year-old now has quality starts in six of his last seven trips to the mound and will look to keep the momentum going in a tough Coors Field matchup against the Rockies next Sunday.

Jose Urena SP | LAA
Marlins' Jose Urena: Gets plenty of run support Tuesday
Urena (2-2) coughed up six runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over five-plus innings Tuesday. Despite the rough outing, he still earned an 11-9 victory over the A's.
The Marlins handed Urena a 7-1 lead heading into the bottom of the third inning, but the 25-year-old very nearly gave it all back. It was his first bad outing since moving into the rotation four starts ago, but Urena's 20:11 K:BB in 38 innings and 5.04 FIP suggest it may not be the last. He'll next take the mound Monday at home against the Phillies.

Patrick Corbin SP | TOR
Diamondbacks' Patrick Corbin: Produces quality start Tuesday
Corbin (4-4) allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the White Sox.
After a trio of rough outings Corbin rebounded to deliver his sixth quality start of the season. The left-hander's 4.40 ERA and 1.43 WHIP won't attract much interest in shallow fantasy leagues, but with a potent Arizona offense supporting him Corbin could take a run at his career high of 14 wins, set back in 2013. He'll next take the mound Sunday in Milwaukee.

German Marquez SP | SD
Rockies' German Marquez: Goes six strong in win over Phils
Marquez (3-2) allowed one earned run on seven hits and three walks over six innings in an 8-2 win over Philadelphia on Tuesday. He struck out six and hit a batter.
It was the third straight quality start for Marquez, who is quietly becoming a reliable starter for the Rockies. His fantasy value is limited so long as he pitches at Coors Field, but he is a solid streaming option for road starts with his 3.86 ERA and 1.34 WHIP. His next start will come Sunday at home against St. Louis.
