Zach Davies SP | WAS
Brewers' Zach Davies: Allows two homers in no-decision
Davies allowed two runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out three over five innings for a no-decision in Monday's 7-5 win over the Cardinals.
Davies has yet to go over 5.1 innings in any of his starts this season, and he needed 81 pitches in Monday's outing. The right-hander was able to lower his ERA to 6.07 on the year. Home runs have been a problem, as he's allowed five in six starts, and Davies' 7.6 K/9 and 3.9 BB/9 aren't particularly promising.

Julio Teheran SP | BAL
Braves' Julio Teheran: Blasted by Mets on Monday
Teheran (2-2) allowed six runs on six hits while walking three and striking out five over six innings in Monday's 7-5 loss to the Mets.
It was Teheran's second bad start in six outings so far this year, and walks continue to be an issue for the right-hander. He's now walked 18 and struck out 27 in 35.1 innings, and his 6.88 K/9 isn't all that impressive, either. Teheran's ERA sits at 4.33 after the bad outing, and he'll need to continue limiting fly balls and home runs in order to be successful.

Aaron Nola SP | PHI
Phillies' Aaron Nola: Bullpen goes smoothly
Nola (back) tossed a bullpen session Monday without issue, CSN Philadelphia's Jim Salisbury reports.
The good news here is that this session went a lot better than Nola's previous bullpen. The 23-year-old threw a series of three 15-pitch intervals to simulate rest between innings. Nola's timetable should become clearer Tuesday after he gauges how he feels the day after throwing.

Clayton Kershaw SP | LAD
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Start moved up to Sunday
Kershaw will have his next start moved up one day to Sunday against the Padres, SB Nation's Eric Stephen reports.
Kershaw was originally scheduled to skip the San Diego series and start Monday at Pittsburgh. But with Hyun-Jin Ryu (hip) missing his next start, the Dodgers will move up Kershaw one day to take his place.

Hyun-Jin Ryu SP | TOR
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Placed on 10-day DL
Ryu was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a hip issue Monday, Andy McCullough of The Los Angeles Times reports.
Ryu will miss at least one start while he deals with this injury, and it's unknown right now whether he'll need a rehab start or two before coming back. The lefty has gone 1-4 with a 4.05 ERA, 29 strikeouts and eight walks in his first five starts (26.2 innings).

Mauricio Cabrera SP | ATL
Braves' Mauricio Cabrera: Rehab appearance scheduled for Tuesday
Cabrera (elbow) will pitch in a rehab assignment Tuesday for Triple-A Gwinnett, MLB.com's Mark Bowman reports.
After that, it's likely that Cabrera will have at least one two-inning appearance before being activated from the 10-day disabled list. The earliest he can rejoin the Braves is May 5 against the Cardinals.

Clayton Kershaw SP | LAD
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Confirmed for Monday start
Kershaw (calf) has been confirmed as the starting pitcher for Monday's game against the Giants.
Kershaw was never really expected to miss anytime with his bruised calf, so it comes as no surprise that he'll make Monday's scheduled start. The 29-year-old is back at it again in his 10th season with the Dodgers, coasting to a 4-1 record while posting a 2.29 ERA, 0.792 WHIP and 39:3 K:BB through 35.1 innings (five starts).

Luis Castillo SP | CHW
Reds' Luis Castillo: Triple-A promotion could be near
Castillo could be in line for a promotion to Triple-A Louisville soon, C. Trent Rosecrans from the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. He has a 2.08 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 25:4 K:BB in 30.1 innings at Double-A Pensacola.
Castillo, acquired in the Dan Straily trade, really impressed teammate Devin Mesoraco when Mesoraco did his rehab stint with Pensacola. "Castillo is almost equally impressive," said Mesoraco, who caught two of Castillo's starts for the Blue Wahoos. "(He has) really good plus stuff, obviously, but he throws so many strikes. He throws a lot, a lot of strikes with all three pitches."

Rob Scahill SP | CHW
Brewers' Rob Scahill: Contract purchased from Triple-A
Scahill had his contract purchased from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Monday.
Scahill will take the spot of Tommy Milone on the roster and in the Brewers' bullpen after Milone was DFA'd earlier Monday. The 30-year-old held a 1.04 ERA and 7:1 K:BB across eight appearances (8.2 innings) with Triple-A before being called up. He spent some time in Milwaukee's bullpen last season as well, posting a 2.45 ERA across 16 appearances (18.1 innings).

Tommy Milone SP | SEA
Brewers' Tommy Milone: Sent down Monday
Milone was designated for assignment by the Brewers on Monday.
With the return of Matt Garza to the Brewers' starting rotation, Milone was relegated to the bullpen before being replaced on the roster by right-hander Rob Scahill. The move is somewhat surprising, given that Milone was the only southpaw in Milwaukee's bullpen, but the 30-year-old conceded a run in each of his six outings this season (15 runs through 21 innings). He could draw some interest on waivers due to his major-league experience as a starter; otherwise, he'll likely head to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
