Robbie Ray SP | SD
Diamondbacks' Robbie Ray: Works around control issues in scoreless outing
Ray (1-0) held the Giants off the scoreboard over 6.2 innings Tuesday, allowing four hits and five walks while striking out eight.
As you might imagine, he got into a lot of jams and rolled his pitch count up pretty high (111) in the process. Control has never been Ray's strong suit, but plying his trade away from Arizona -- especially in a pitcher-friendly stadium like AT&T Park -- helps his swing-and-miss stuff play up. He's a must-start in DFS whenever he's starting outside of Arizona and Colorado. Next Monday's road outing against the Dodgers should provide an interesting test.

Jameson Taillon SP | TOR
Pirates' Jameson Taillon: No-decision despite quality start Tuesday
Taillon gave up two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four over six innings Tuesday, but came away with a no-decision in a 6-2 loss to the Reds.
The 25-year-old has had a strong start to 2017, posting a 1.38 ERA and 10:4 K:BB through his first 13 innings, but a lack of run support has left Taillon without a decision to show for his efforts. He could have a tough time getting into the win column in his next start, however, on the road Sunday against the Cubs.

Antonio Senzatela RP | MIL
Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Earns first career victory Tuesday
Senzatela (1-0) earned his first career victory Tuesday against the Padres, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk across seven innings. He struck out five.
Senzatela allowed a solo homer in the first inning to Manuel Margot, but he settled down and cruised the rest of the way, allowing another run on a sac fly in the sixth. It looked as if he would miss out on the victory after throwing 94 pitches and leaving in a tie game, but Nolan Arenado's decisive solo shot in the bottom of the seventh put that to rest. Senzatela has been terrific through his first two big league starts and will carry a 1.50 ERA as well as a 0.92 WHIP into Sunday's start against the Giants.

Lance Lynn SP | STL
Cardinals' Lance Lynn: Hit hard Tuesday
Lynn (0-1) gave up six runs (four earned) on five hits, including three home runs and four walks while striking out four over five innings in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Nationals.
He managed to throw just 57 of 101 pitches for strikes, and when Lynn did get the ball into the strike zone he was too often just grooving it right down the heart of the plate. Some ups and downs are to be expected for the 29-year-old as he makes his return from Tommy John surgery, however. He'll look to rebound at home Monday against the Pirates.

Mauricio Cabrera SP | ATL
Braves' Mauricio Cabrera: Scheduled for bullpen session Wednesday
Cabrera (elbow) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Cabrera was originally scheduled to throw his first bullpen session during his DL stint on Monday, but that date has been bumped back to Wednesday. The reliever has felt good during his flat-ground throwing sessions and it sounds like he'll be back prior to the end of April.

Tyler Kolek SP | MIA
Marlins' Tyler Kolek: Opens year on DL
Kolek (elbow) opened the year on the 7-day DL at Low-A Greensboro, MLB.com's Mike Rosenbaum reports.
He is nearly a year removed from Tommy John surgery, and is beginning the season in extended spring training before heading to Greensboro. Kolek was drafted with the No. 2 overall pick in 2014 as a big righty who could touch triple digits, but had a lot of developing to do as a pitcher, and he hasn't had much time to improve upon his weaknesses due to the elbow surgery.

Chris Flexen RP | CHC
Mets' Chris Flexen: On 7-day DL
Flexen (knee) is on the 7-day DL with High-A St. Lucie, MLB.com's Jonathan Mayo reports.
He underwent surgery in early March to remove a bone chip from his right knee, but could return later this month. Last year was his first full season since undergoing Tommy John surgery, and while he should report to St. Lucie when healthy, he logged 134 innings there last year, so he could quickly get promoted to Double-A.

Julio Teheran SP | BAL
Braves' Julio Teheran: Moves up to Friday's home opener
Teheran will make his next start Friday against the Padres, Kevin McAlpin of the Braves Radio Network reports.
Atlanta's ace was originally scheduled to take the mound Sunday, but manager Brian Snitker opted to send Teheran to the mound to christen the Braves' new ballpark. He'll be followed by R.A. Dickey and Bartolo Colon, with Jaime Garcia and Mike Foltynewicz waiting until next week to make their next appearances. This lines Teheran up to face the Padres' Opening Day starter, Jhoulys Chacin.

Odrisamer Despaigne SP | MIA
Marlins' Odrisamer Despaigne: Sent to Triple-A
Despaigne (oblique) was reinstated from the 10-day DL and optioned to Triple-A New Orleans.
Despaigne suffered an oblique strain early in spring training that eventually landed him on the DL to open the season, though it appears he's now healthy enough to begin his rehab assignment. He'll head to Triple-A, where he'll look to work his way back to full strength and possibly earn a call-up to the Marlins bullpen at some point in 2017.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Hit hard in second start
Wainwright (0-2) gave up six runs (five earned) on 11 hits and two walks over 4.0 innings in Monday's 14-6 loss to the Nationals. He struck out three.
Wainwright couldn't duplicate his solid five-inning outing against the Cubs back on April 4, laboring through 96 pitches and notching only six swinging strikes. The veteran right-hander was particularly victimized by Adam Eaton and Bryce Harper, who got on base a combined 10 times and tallied seven hits between them against Wainwright and the Cardinals relief corps. The former 20-game winner will look to bounce back in a Sunday road start against the Yankees.
