Odrisamer Despaigne SP | MIA
Marlins' Odrisamer Despaigne: Hits 10-day DL
Despaigne (oblique) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
The right-hander suffered an oblique strain early on in spring training and has yet to resume facing hitters, making it an easy decision for the Marlins to bump him to the DL to begin the season. Once he proves he's healthy after a rehab assignment in the minors, Despaigne could be a long-relief option for the big club.

Mauricio Cabrera SP | ATL
Braves' Mauricio Cabrera: Lands on DL, as expected
Cabrera has been placed on the 10-day DL retroactive to March 30, MLB.com reports.
Cabrera has dealt with elbow soreness throughout the spring, but the team is optimistic that there isn't any serious damage. The hard-throwing right-hander will be eligible to return just after a week into the season, though it's unlikely he returns as soon as he's eligible, as Cabrera has yet to resume throwing. Once the 23-year-old is ready to return to the Atlanta bullpen, there's no doubt he'll be a valuable asset, as he offers a fastball that consistently touches 100 MPH.

Zach Eflin SP | BAL
Phillies' Zach Eflin: Enters season on DL
Eflin (knee) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday, Meghan Montemurro of The News Journal reports.
Eflin is still recovering from his September 2016 knee surgery. His DL placement is retroactive to March 30, and he will likely open the season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley when he's eligible to return.

Anthony DeSclafani RP | ARI
Reds' Anthony DeSclafani: Hits 10-day DL
DeSclafani (elbow) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday.
DeSclafani has been shut down for the past several weeks with a UCL sprain. Though he's been placed on the 10-day DL, the 26-year-old is expected to miss the first month of the season.

Vance Worley SP | NYM
Marlins' Vance Worley: Joins Marlins on minor-league deal
Worley agreed to a minor-league deal with the Marlins on Sunday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
The deal is still pending a physical, but if everything checks out, it appears that Worley will open the season with Triple-A New Orleans. The 29-year-old was recently released by the Nationals after posting a 4.80 ERA over 15.0 innings this spring. He'll serve as organizational pitching depth for the Marlins in 2017.

Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD
Pirates' Tyler Glasnow: Makes final spring appearance Saturday
Glasnow gave up three runs on six hits and one walk Saturday. He struck out five Toronto batters.
A day after being named the Bucs' No. 5 starter, Glasnow put together an uneven outing against the Blue Jays. Fortunately, he issued only one free pass and refused to fall apart when he easily could've. His first opportunity to start may come April 8 at home against Atlanta, though the team has yet to announce a starter for the game.

Neil Ramirez RP | CLE
Giants' Neil Ramirez: Earns spot on Opening Day roster
Ramirez made San Francisco's Opening Day roster, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
A solid spring performance filled with strikeouts earned Ramirez a spot in the Giants' bullpen. Although it's unlikely that he'll see many high-leverage situations at the start of the season, Ramirez could move into a setup role if he continues pitching like he did in the Cactus League. Over 11 games (11.1 innings) he allowed four runs and notched 19 strikeouts.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Saves best for last start of spring
Hill made his final start of spring training Friday, tossing 3.2 shutout innings in a win over the Angels.
Hill struggled this spring (6.19 ERA) -- as he historically has -- but manager Dave Roberts noted that Friday's start was the best he's seen from the veteran since last season. His earlier struggles may have been the result of the 37-year-old not feeling like he had anything to prove in exhibition games. Whatever the case, the southpaw has picked things up at the right time as we near Opening Day. He will look to replicate last year's breakout season, when he posted a sparkling 2.12 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over 110.1 innings.

Seth Lugo SP | KC
Mets' Seth Lugo: To be placed on DL
Lugo (arm) will begin the season on the disabled list, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
An MRI on Saturday revealed no structural damage in Lugo's arm, but he's still dealing with "dead arm" and will be unavailable to begin the regular season. As a result, Rafael Montero will make the Opening Day roster, but Lugo will likely reclaim his spot in the bullpen once he's back to full strength.
