Lowder (shoulder) is expected to face hitters Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Lowder has ramped up his rehab and completed a high-intensity throwing session Monday. The right-hander is working his way back from right shoulder discomfort that cropped up during a May 7 start. Even if a brief rehab assignment is necessary, Lowder could be ready for activation by the end of the week.

Allen allowed two unearned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out seven over four relief innings in Monday's 10-2 loss to Washington.

Allen, a starter in the minors, was called up Sunday and needed to bail out the bullpen a day later when starter Tanner Bibee was done after three innings. The Guardians are in the middle of a stretch where they are playing 13 consecutive days, which can be taxing on a 'pen. Given that Allen burned 61 pitches Monday, he's unlikely to be available for several days. As such, his locker was cleaned out post-game, indicating the Guardians will make a roster move Tuesday, per Tim Stebbins of MLB.com.

Civale (5-2) took the loss against Seattle on Monday, allowing seven runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out two batters over four innings.

It's generally a bad sign when a pitcher has more homers allowed than strikeouts on his stat line, and that was the case Monday, as Civale served up three long balls while notching just two punchouts. It was the second straight start in which the righty surrendered three home runs, and he's now given up eight homers across his past three starts after yielding only four through his first eight outings of the season. Civale has also surrendered 12 runs in nine innings across his past two starts, as his ERA has blown up from 2.70 to 4.20. He'll try to get back on track in what's projected to a tough matchup against the Yankees his next time out, but given that opponent, his recent struggles and his paltry 6.3 K/9 on the campaign, fantasy managers may be wise to look for other options.

Miller (1-0) earned the win over the Athletics on Monday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four batters over five bulk-relief innings.

Seattle went with the unorthodox pairing of Luis Castillo and Miller for Monday's contest. Castillo was excellent in tossing four scoreless innings, but Miller ended up throwing more pitches (83 to 68) and benefitted by being the pitcher of record despite entering with a hearty 7-0 lead. Miller is still somewhat working his way back after missing the early part of the season due to an oblique injury, but he's completed at least five innings and thrown at least 72 pitches in each of his three outings. It remains to be seen if the pairing of Miller and Castillo will continue moving forward, but Miller has thrived regardless of his role this season, posting a 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB through 16 innings.

Yesavage (2-2) took the loss Monday, allowing five runs on five hits and two walks over 6.2 innings against Miami. He struck out six.

Yesavage allowed a run in the first inning but appeared to find his footing through the middle frames before ultimately fading, surrendering four runs between the fifth and sixth innings. It marked the first notable stumble for the young right-hander, who entered Monday with a sterling 1.07 ERA through his first five starts and hadn't allowed more than two runs in an outing. Even after the lackluster performance, Yesavage still owns a strong 2.25 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 35:10 K:BB across 32 innings. He'll look to get back in the win column next time out, which is tentatively scheduled for Saturday against Baltimore.

Castillo allowed two hits and issued two walks while striking out six batters over four scoreless innings in a no-decision against the Athletics on Monday.

After struggling mightily as a traditional starter this season, Castillo was deployed out of the bullpen for the first time in his career in his previous appearance May 19. The veteran righty was then moved back into a starting role Monday, but the plan all along was to pair him with Bryce Miller. Castillo ended up thriving with that setup, holding the A's to just two hits while racking up 12 whiffs and six punchouts over four frames. He was pulled after 68 pitches in favor of Miller, who fared well himself in closing out the contest by giving up two runs over five innings. It remains to be seen how Seattle will use Castillo going forward, but he made a case to remain a starter -- at least as part of a tandem -- with his performance Monday. Of course, it will dampen his fantasy value considerably if he's limited to fewer than five innings and 70 pitches as he was against the A's.

Junk (3-5) earned the win Monday, allowing one run on eight hits and no walks over five innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out three.

Junk allowed his fair share of traffic but was able to limit the damage, allowing just one run while capturing his first win since April 28. Monday's outing snapped a nightmarish three-start stretch for the 30-year-old, who had surrendered 19 runs over his previous 16.2 innings. Junk will carry a 4.80 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 43:13 K:BB across 60 innings (11 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Mets.

Sheehan allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over six innings in a no-decision against Colorado on Monday.

Sheehan looked like he might have to exit the contest after getting hit on the right arm by a 103.8 mph comebacker in the fourth inning. He made several warmup throws and was visited by manager Dave Roberts twice in the frame but was ultimately allowed to remain in the contest. Sheehan proved to be fine, retiring seven of the final eight batters he faced. Overall, the right-hander registered 17 whiffs and eight punchouts en route to his fourth quality start of the campaign. It's been a bit of an up-and-down season for Sheehan, but he's seems to have established a stable role in Los Angeles' rotation. Through 10 starts, he has a 4.70 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 59:14 K:BB over 51.2 innings.

Canning (0-3) took the loss Monday, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks over 6.2 innings against the Phillies. He struck out five.

Following a first-inning solo homer by Kyle Schwarber, Canning settled in nicely through the middle innings, though his outing ended on a sour note when Brandon Marsh blasted a two-run shot with two outs in the seventh frame. After posting a 12.27 ERA and 2.09 WHIP across 11 innings over his previous three appearances, Monday's outing can be viewed as a step in the right direction for Canning. The right-hander will carry a 7.54 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 24:13 K:BB through 22.2 innings (five starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Nationals.

Bibee (0-7) took the loss Monday against the Nationals, allowing seven runs on eight hits while striking out three over three innings.

Bibee's search for his first win of the season took a rough turn Monday, as he surrendered a career-high five home runs, which accounted for all seven runs he allowed. The right-hander had done a solid job limiting the long ball entering the outing, giving up only four homers total across his previous 10 starts. Prior to this blowup, Bibee had posted a strong 2.59 ERA over his last seven outings while allowing two or fewer runs in all but two of them. He now owns a 4.57 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 55:21 K:BB across 63 innings and will once again look for his first win of 2026 in his next scheduled start against Boston.
