Scott (elbow) threw off a mound Friday, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Scott was limited to his fastball and changeup Friday, but he is expected to use his full arsenal the next time he throws off a mound. He has been on the injured list since July 23 due to a UCL sprain in his right elbow. Prior to the injury, Scott went 0-3 over nine starts with a 4.56 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 39:12 K:BB across 47.1 innings.

DeGrom (elbow) will require two more rehab starts, with the first coming at Triple-A Round Rock, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

DeGrom has already completed a pair of rehab outings, allowing one run across four innings, and he'll need two more appearances before possibly being activated. The 35-year-old hasn't pitched for the Rangers since he underwent Tommy John surgery in June 2023 but should be back in mid-September.

The Angels selected Aldegheri's contract from Double-A Rocket City ahead of his start Friday against the Mariners.

Aldegheri will make his major-league debut Friday after splitting his time this season between High-A and Double-A, during which he recorded 134 strikeouts over 95.1 innings. The 22-year-old southpaw was acquired by the Angels in late July as part of the trade package sending Carlos Estevez to the Phillies. Aldegheri will take the spot in the Angels' starting rotation vacated by Carson Fulmer, who was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday due to right elbow inflammation.

The Angels selected Dana's contract from Double-A Rocket City on Friday.

Dana will start Sunday's game against the Mariners after logging a 2.59 ERA across 135.2 innings with Rocket City this season. The 20-year-old is one of the Halos' top prospects, but he hasn't pitched above the Double-A level since joining the organization in 2022, although the organization generally avoids sending its top young arms to the hitter's paradise of Triple-A Salt Lake. If he performs well Sunday, Dana could stick in the rotation.

Ashcraft (forearm) was reinstated from the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Indianapolis, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Ashcraft has been on the Triple-A IL since July 17 with lateral forearm tightness, but he threw a live batting practice earlier this week and has now been cleared to return. The 24-year-old has a combined 2.88 ERA in 72 innings across Double-A and Triple-A.

Crochet is scheduled to start Sunday's game against the Mets at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Even though Crochet tossed just four pitches in his most recent start Tuesday against the Rangers before the game was suspended due to inclement weather, the White Sox still treated it as a full turn through the rotation for the southpaw. He'll return to the mound Sunday on four days' rest, but despite his light usage Tuesday, Crochet shouldn't be expected to work deep into his upcoming outing. Over his last nine starts, he hasn't covered more than four innings in any outing and owns a 5.93 ERA and 1.61 WHIP during that stretch.

Wicks (oblique) was scratched from Friday's rehab start with Triple-A Iowa, and Cubs manager Craig Counsell said that the 24-year-old southpaw could be activated from the 60-day injured list to start this weekend against the Nationals, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Wicks has been sidelined since mid-June due to a Grade 2 right oblique strain. He began his rehab assignment in early August, and in his last outing Sunday, he tossed 4.2 scoreless innings while striking out four batters and allowing three hits and one walk. Javier Assad and Jameson Taillon are currently penciled in as the Cubs' starters for Saturday and Sunday respectively, but one of the two could be bumped back in the schedule to Monday against the Pirates if the Cubs elect to activate Wicks this weekend.

Rea didn't factor into the decision in the first game of Friday's doubleheader against Cincinnati, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits over four innings. He struck out five.

Rea got off to a shaky start, allowing three runs in his first two innings. However, he'd manage to keep things close, allowing just one run over his final two frames in Milwaukee's eventual 10-inning win. Rea's had some trouble with the long ball of late -- he gave up two solo shots Friday and has served up eight homers in his last four starts (23.2 innings). Overall, the right-hander sports a 3.70 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP and 118:36 K:BB across 146 innings this year. Rea's currently scheduled for a home matchup with the Cardinals in his next outing.

Madden is no longer listed as the starter for Sunday's game versus the Red Sox but could be used as a bulk reliever, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Madden allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks while fanning two batters over five innings in his major-league debut Monday against the White Sox. He'll stick around with the big club for now, although his role isn't set in stone.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Friday that Schmidt (lat) might not necessarily require another rehab start, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Boone said prior to Schmidt's second rehab outing Wednesday that the right-hander would probably make two more rehab starts, but he's now leaving open the possibility that Schmidt's next appearance comes in the majors. Schmidt has allowed two runs with an 11:2 K:BB covering 6.2 innings in his first two rehab starts. The expectation is that he will be used as a starter upon his return to the Yankees, although he could eventually shift to the bullpen once Luis Gil (back) comes off the IL.
