Sebastian Walcott SS | TEX
Rangers' Sebastian Walcott: Healthy at Double-A
Double-A Frisco reinstated Walcott (concussion) from the 7-day injured list Wednesday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Walcott landed on the IL on Aug. 2 after he was struck in the head by a pickoff throw a day earlier, but he's since passed all concussion tests and has received the green light to return to action at Frisco. The 20-year-old prospect has performed well since making his season debut at Frisco on July 17, slashing .308/.357/.577 with three home runs and three steals through 56 plate appearances. He's thus far been limited to serving as a designated hitter after undergoing internal brace surgery on his throwing elbow back in February.

Jacob Wilson SS | ATH
Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Getting break Wednesday
Wilson is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Rays.
Wilson appears to be getting a routine day off after producing a weak .545 OPS so far through eight games in August. With Wilson sitting, Donovan Walton will cover shortstop, and Zack Gelof will handle second base as the Athletics look to avoid the series sweep.

Tigers' Kevin McGonigle: Drives in three in Tuesday's win
McGonigle went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and three RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Guardians.
The 21-year-old infielder put the Tigers in the lead for good with his two-run double in the fifth inning. McGonigle has hit safely in five straight games, going 9-for-22 (.409), and since the All-Star break the AL Rookie of the Year favorite has compiled a .308/.387/.473 slash line with four homers, 14 RBI and 19 runs in 22 contests.

Tyler Tolbert SS | KC
Royals' Tyler Tolbert: Adds steal in loss
Tolbert went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Dodgers.
Tolbert has faded back into a utility role lately, though he's still getting a short-side platoon workload in left field. The steal was Tolbert's 16th of the campaign, including five over his last 15 games. Overall, Tolbert is batting .318 with an .848 OPS, three home runs, six RBI, 23 runs scored and five doubles across 101 plate appearances this season.

Taylor Walls SS | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Launches pair of homers in win
Walls went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 12-4 win over the Athletics.
Walls delivered a rare display of power by homering from both sides of the plate Tuesday. He ended a 105-game regular-season homer drought dating back to July 27 of last year by going deep left-handed off Mason Barnett in the fourth inning before launching another homer as a right-handed hitter off Brady Basso in the sixth. The two long balls were his first of the season and were particularly surprising considering Walls has just 24 homers across 581 career games. He entered Tuesday batting just .135 over his previous 14 contests. Walls owns a .216 average with a .605 OPS and 18 stolen bases across 97 games this season.

Henderson set the tone from the top of the order, highlighted by a two-run blast in the second inning. It was the 25-year-old's first multi-hit effort since July 20, and he entered the contest just 2-for-25 through nine August contests. On the season, he's slashing .216/.296/.392 with 19 homers, 49 RBI, 70 runs scored and nine steals across 540 plate appearances.

Gavin Lux SS | TB
Rays' Gavin Lux: Return unlikely this year
Lux (shoulder) is unlikely to return this season, per MLB.com.
Lux's most recent setback saw him get shut down in mid-July after receiving an injection in his right shoulder. His initial rehab assignment in April was halted by a sprained left ankle, and the infielder was later pulled off another minor-league stint with left shoulder inflammation. The Rays haven't officially ruled out Lux for the remainder of the year, but his status for the rest of 2026 is in major doubt.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Progresses to tee work
Correa (ankle) has been cleared to hit off a tee, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Correa was given the green light to swing a bat nearly one week ago, and he's since been able to progress to tee work. It remains to be seen whether he'll be able to return before the end of the season after undergoing ankle surgery in May, but a timeline should come into focus as he continues to ramp up baseball activities.

Andruw Monasterio SS | BOS
Red Sox's Andruw Monasterio: Receiving evening off
Monasterio is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.
On Sunday, interim manager Chad Tracy told Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald that he planned to give Monasterio a day off in the near future, and the skipper settled on Monday's series opener in Toronto for giving the shortstop a breather. Nick Sogard will slide over from second base to replace Monasterio, who had produced a robust .344/.408/.492 slash line with one home run, one stolen base, 14 RBI and nine runs while starting in each of the Red Sox's previous 17 games.
