Bogaerts has been scratched from Friday's lineup against the Blue Jays, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.
The reason for Bogaerts's removal from Friday's lineup has not yet been disclosed. Marwin Gonzalez will fill in at shortstop and bat eighth.

Wendle is not in the starting lineup Friday against the Orioles, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Wendle is out of the starting lineup for the second consecutive game with the Rays set to face another southpaw in Keegan Akin. The infielder homered off the bench Wednesday and could certainly play a role as a pinch hitter again Friday. Mike Brosseau will start at third base and bat fifth.

Anderson went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two stolen bases Wednesday in a loss to the Blue Jays.
The leadoff man extended his modest hitting streak to seven games in the loss. Over that stretch, he has batted .379 (11-for-29) with a home run, six RBI and three steals. Anderson's 12 thefts overall are tied for fourth in the league.

Rays' Joey Wendle: Homers as pinch hitter
Wendle went 2-for-2 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Nationals.
Wendle didn't start the contest, but he came through in the clutch as a pinch hitter with a game-tying eighth-inning solo shot to right field. Wendle produced another big hit in the 10th frame, again driving home the game-tying run with a single. He has already tied his career high with seven homers in 203 plate appearances this season while adding a .288/.350/.500 slash line, 29 RBI and four stolen bases.

Boagerts went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a sacrifice fly in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to Houston.
Bogaerts knocked in two of Boston's three runs in the lopsided loss. The shortstop got a day off from playing the field, instead serving as the designated hitter. The 29-year-old is slashing .321/.378/.543 with 11 homers, 38 RBI, 35 runs scored and four stolen bases across 246 plate appearances. He's gone 11-for-27 (.407) during his seven-game hitting streak.

Mondesi (hamstring) took batting practice and did some other work Tuesday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
Manager Mike Matheny said Mondesi appeared to be moving well. As critical as the young shortstop's absence is, the Royals will surely exercise caution in timing his return from his second IL stint of the season.

Crawford went 3-for-4 with a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Tigers.
Crawford made his presence felt at the top of the order once again and extended his streak of reaching safely multiple times to five straight contests. The shortstop has compiled one home run, five RBI, four runs scored, five doubles and a 4:2 BB:K over that span, and he's hitting .462 since the calendar flipped to June.

Anderson went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-1 victory over the Blue Jays.
Anderson singled twice and knocked in a run with an eighth-inning sacrifice fly that accounted for Chicago's final tally of the contest. The star shortstop extended his on-base streak to 10 games with the two-hit effort, and during that stretch he has hit .359 (14-for-39) with a homer, six RBI and three stolen bases.

Correa went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, an RBI double and another run scored during Tuesday's win over Boston.
Correa got the scoring starting by just barely taking Martin Perez deep with a 310-footer in the first inning. He made Perez pay again in the second by knocking in an RBI double. It was Correa's sixth multi-hit outing over the last 11 games. On the season, he holds a team-leading 11 homers to go with 14 doubles and a .288/.372/.502 slash line.
