Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Out again Friday
Correa remains out of the lineup Friday against the Angels, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The shortstop sits for the second straight game. He's been "not feeling great" according to manager A.J. Hinch, as evidenced by the fact that he's hit a very poor .174/.257/.223 since returning from a back injury Aug. 10. It's unclear whether or not he'll need an extended absence to get himself right. Alex Bregman will slide over to shortstop Friday, with J.D. Davis starting at third base.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Rays' Willy Adames: Not in Thursday's lineup
Adames is out of the lineup against the Blue Jays on Thursday, Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times reports.
Adames will get a breather following four straight starts, during which he went 5-for-14 (.357 average) with two home runs and four RBI. In his absence, Joey Wendle will start at shortstop and bat fifth in the order.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Not feeling great
Manager A.J. Hinch said Correa is "not feeling great," Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Hinch's vague comments seem to refer to the back injury that caused Correa to miss 36 games between June and August. Since Correa was activated from the disabled list, he's hitting .174 and slugging .223 (four extra-base hits) over 34 games. The prolonged stretch of struggles will almost certainly drive down Correa's price on draft day for 2019.

Adalberto Mondesi SS | BOS
Royals' Adalberto Mondesi: Carries offense in loss to Pirates
Mondesi went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and a stolen base in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Pirates.
His two knocks were the only extra-base hits the entire Royals lineup managed on the night. Mondesi has been a bona fide fantasy superstar in September, hitting .324 with four homers, eight steals, 10 RBI and 12 runs in 16 games.

Joey Wendle 2B | ATL
Rays' Joey Wendle: Notches three hits and stolen base
Wendle went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, a stolen base -- his 14th of the season -- and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Rangers.
Wendle doubled and scored in the second inning before adding a pair of singles and a walk over his next three plate appearances. The 28-year-old now has back-to-back multi-hit games and is slashing .345/.400/.534 with two stolen bases through 15 games in September.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Day off Wednesday
Correa is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Mariners.
Correa sits for just the second time since returning from a back injury Aug. 10. He's hit a miserable .174/.257/.223 with just one homer over that stretch. Marwin Gonzalez will move in to play shortstop in Correa's absence.

Joey Wendle 2B | ATL
Rays' Joey Wendle: Four-hit night with RBI
Wendle went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a run and an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Rangers.
Wendle slashed an RBI double in the fourth inning and later hit another double, giving him 27 two-baggers on the season. The 28-year-old is hitting .298/.347/.432 with seven home runs, 53 RBI and 55 runs scored while going 13-for-17 in stolen-base attempts on the year.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Rays' Willy Adames: Hits two-run homer
Adames went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in a win over the Rangers on Tuesday.
Adames got the scoring started with a two-run homer -- his 10th of the year -- off Yovani Gallardo in the fourth inning. It was the second home run in three games for Adames, and his fourth straight game with a hit. He's now slashing .267/.333/.414 with 28 RBI, 39 runs and six stolen bases in 251 at-bats this season.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Blue Jays' Aledmys Diaz: Remains on bench
Diaz is not in the lineup Monday against the Orioles.
Diaz will stick on the bench for a second consecutive game after starting 12 of the first 14 games to open September. Yangervis Solarte will cover the hot corner in his absence, allowing Richard Urena to pick up a start at the keystone.
