  • Luke Williams SS | ATL

Phillies' Luke Williams: Nabs spot in roster pool

The Phillies added Williams to their 60-man roster pool Sunday.

The 23-year-old utility man will report to the Phillies' alternate training site in Lehigh Valley after spending the 2019 season at Double-A Reading, where he slashed .238/.319/.395 over 504 plate appearances. Given his limited success in the upper levels of the minors along with the fact that he doesn't possess a spot on the 40-man roster, Williams is unlikely to receive a promotion to the big club in September.

  • Braves' Johan Camargo: Out of lineup Sunday

Camargo is not starting Sunday against the Nationals.

Camargo has swung the bat well of late, collecting eight hits in his last 27 at-bats. However, he'll get a day off Sunday, with Adeiny Hechavarria taking his place at second base and batting ninth.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Not starting Sunday

Rojas is not in the team's starting lineup Sunday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Rojas returned to the lineup Friday after battling an abdominal injury and has managed to reach base four times in two contests since. However, he'll take a breather Sunday, with Jazz Chisholm taking his place at shortstop and batting seventh.

  • Jose Barrero SS | BAL

    Reds' Jose Garcia: Sitting Sunday

Garcia is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

The 22-year-old has struggled to find his footing in the big leagues early on, slashing .161/.188/.161 with one stolen base through nine games. He will sit Sunday after five consecutive starts, with Kyle Farmer stepping in at shortstop against right-hander Chad Kuhl.

  • Orlando Arcia SS | MIN

Brewers' Orlando Arcia: Slugs third homer

Arcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday against Cleveland.

Arcia took Nick Wittgren deep in the eighth inning to tie the game at three. It was his third home run of the season, though he has just three additional extra-base hits in 111 plate appearances. Despite his relative lack of production at the plate, Arcia has continued to get the majority of starts at shortstop for the Brewers.

  • Paul DeJong SS | DET

Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Goes deep in nightcap

DeJong went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cubs.

DeJong drove in a pair of runs in the matinee and kicked off the scoring in the nightcap with a solo shot to left field in the second inning for an overall productive twin bill. The shortstop is hitting an even .300 on the season with a .845 OPS, three home runs and 15 RBI.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: On bench against lefty

Crawford will sit against lefty Madison Bumgarner and the Diamondbacks on Saturday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Crawford has started against just seven of the 17 lefties the Giants have faced this season and won't get the opportunity to face his former teammate Saturday. Daniel Robertson gets the start at shortstop in his absence.

  • Nick Ahmed SS | TEX

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Racks up three hits

Ahmed went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's win over the Giants.

Ahmed's three-hit performance -- the fourth time he's reached that feat this season -- was a positive sign considering he was in a 1-for-16 slump over his previous five games. Ahmed is hitting just .194 with a .636 OPS across his last 10 contests.

  • Dansby Swanson SS | CHC

Braves' Dansby Swanson: Swats sixth homer

Swanson went 2-for-4 with a home run and a three RBI in the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Nationals.

He was less impressive in the nightcap, going 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored, but Swanson's two-run shot in the third inning of the opener proved to be the game-winning hit in a 7-1 victory. On the season, the shortstop is slashing .294/.337/.484 with six homers, four steals, 24 RBI and 34 runs in 38 games.

  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Nationals' Trea Turner: Flashes skills in twin bill

Turner went 3-for-9 with a solo home run and a stolen base across both games of Friday's doubleheader against Atlanta.

After going 2-for-4 with a steal during a loss in the matinee, Turner took Will Smith deep in the sixth inning of the nightcap to put the Nats ahead for good in an eventual 10-9 win. The shortstop remains one of the hottest hitters in the league -- over his last 26 games, Turner is slashing .427/.471/.755 with eight homers, four steals, 20 RBI and 28 runs.
