  • Nick Ahmed SS | TEX

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Has bone contusion

Ahmed is believed to have a bone contusion in his left foot, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Ahmed sustained the injury during the third inning Sunday and was removed from the Diamondbacks' win over the Blue Jays. The injury is not considered serious, and there are no plans for Ahmed to undergo tests.

  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Nationals' Trea Turner: Slugs fourth home run

Turner went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in a victory over San Diego on Sunday.

Turner's blast -- a 425-bomb to center field -- was the second of four consecutive home runs that put Washington in the history books in the eighth inning. He also scored Washington's first run after reaching base on an error in the first inning. Over his last 11 games, Turner has gone 15-for-47 (.319) with a pair of homers and nine runs scored. His season slash line is now up to .273/.316/.491.

  • Nick Ahmed SS | TEX

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Exits with foot injury

Ahmed was removed from Sunday's 8-2 win over the Blue Jays in the third inning with a sore left foot.

Jarrod Dyson came off the bench to replace Ahmed, stepping in as the Diamondbacks' center fielder while Ketel Marte shifted to shortstop. Ahmed, who singled in his lone at-bat before departing, is viewed as day-to-day ahead of Monday's game in Philadelphia.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Dodgers' Corey Seager: Leads hit parade in win

Seager went 4-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Giants.

The Giants were determined not to let Cody Bellinger beat them, walking the Dodgers' cleanup hitter three times in five plate appearances, but Seager picked up the slack from the five hole. The shortstop has banged out four straight multi-hit efforts, but he's been hot for a lot longer than that -- Seager is now slashing .330/.392/.637 over his last 24 games with six homers and 26 RBI.

  • Tommy Edman 2B | LAD

Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Called up to majors

Edman was called up from Triple-A Memphis on Saturday.

With Jedd Gyorko (back) landing on the injured list, Edman will join the major-league team for the first time. He may not be a marquee prospect, but Edman is a legitimate prospect, arguably ranking within the top 10 in the Cardinals organization. He's hit .305/.356/.513 with seven homers and nine steals with Memphis this season. The switch-hitting Edman should at least see some starts at second base against left-handed pitching.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Cubs' Javier Baez: Smashes 16th home run

Baez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during a 3-1 victory against the Cardinals on Friday.

The presumption with Baez has always been that once he cut down on his strikeouts, he could be a .300 hitter. This season, Baez has seen his strikeout rate increase to 30.9 percent, yet he's still batting a career-high .306. That's due to a .396 BABIP, which is more than 50 points higher than his career norm. More than likely, Baez won't be able to maintain that high of a BABIP, but for now, owners are enjoying both average and power from him. He is slashing .306/.347/.584 with 16 home runs, 42 RBI and 42 runs in 262 plate appearances this season.

  • Ronny Mauricio 2B | NYM

Mets' Ronny Mauricio: On fire for Fireflies

Mauricio went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a solo home run and two additional runs scored for Low-A Columbia on Thursday.

The Mets' No. 1 fantasy prospect following the graduation of Pete Alonso, Mauricio has put together a nine-game hitting streak and hit safely in 14 of his last 16, slashing .353/.366/.544 over that stretch with seven doubles, two homers and a steal. He still isn't showing much patience, posting a 1:10 BB:K during those 16 games, but given that he won't turn 19 until next April, his ability to barrel the ball consistently at such a young age gives him sky-high upside.

  • Paul DeJong SS | DET

Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Smacks ninth homer

DeJong with 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's win over the Reds.

DeJong broke a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning with a two-run homer to left field. The 25-year-old shortstop has put together a solid .275/.372/.482 slash line with nine home runs and 28 RBI on the season over 60 games.

  • Trevor Story SS | BOS

Rockies' Trevor Story: Scores three times Wednesday

Story went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double, three runs and an RBI in Wednesday's 9-8 loss to the Cubs.

Story has now turned in multi-hit efforts in four of his last six starts, lifting his season batting average to what would be a career-high .293. He'll look to keep rolling in the series finale Thursday, as he'll start at shortstop and bat second.

  • Dansby Swanson SS | CHC

Braves' Dansby Swanson: Power surge continues

Swanson went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Pirates.

The shortstop has gone yard three times in the last four games and six times in the last 13, adding eight multi-hit performances to the mix to give him a blistering .345/.377/.690 slash line during that stretch. Swanson's already one homer shy of tying last year's career-high 14 as he puts together a breakout campaign at age 25.
