Gavin Cecchini SS | NYM
Mets' Gavin Cecchini: Hits first big-league home run Monday
Cecchini went 1-for-3 with his first career home run in a loss to the Dodgers on Monday.
The most impressive thing about his fifth-inning blast was that it came with two strikes against superstar lefty Clayton Kershaw. This was also his first start in the majors, and although T.J. Rivera is expected to get most of the reps at the keystone with Neil Walker (hamstring) out, Cecchini could push him for playing time with more performances like this -- and simultaneously prove his worth in the organization with top prospect Amed Rosario knocking on the door to New York.

Allen Cordoba SS | CIN
Padres' Allen Cordoba: Takes seat Monday
Cordoba is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.
Cordoba will head to the bench after playing all 30 innings against the Brewers over the weekend and going just 1-for-12 at the plate. Erick Aybar will take over at shortstop for the game.

Johan Camargo SS | SF
Braves' Johan Camargo: Making third start in four games
Camargo will start at third base and bat eighth Monday against the Giants.
The Braves haven't settled on a permanent option at third base since Adonis Garcia (finger) hit the disabled list June 7, but it seems Camargo may have edged ahead of Rio Ruiz in the job battle. Camargo will pick up his third start in four games Monday and is coming off an excellent weekend series against the Marlins during which he went 5-for-9 with three runs and two RBI. Camargo doesn't carry much value outside of NL-only leagues at this point, but if he's able to secure the larger side of a timeshare at the hot corner, he could warrant some intrigue in deeper mixed formats.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Deja vu in Colorado on Sunday
Crawford returned to the lineup after a scheduled day off and went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and three RBI in a 7-5 loss to the Rockies.
If fantasy owners feel like they've seen this stat line from Crawford recently, it's because they have. The shortstop posted an identical stat line in the first game of a four-game set with the Rockies as he did on the final day of the series. The trip to Coors woke up Crawford's bat, and he will look to carry that success into Atlanta on Monday.

Trea Turner SS | PHI
Nationals' Trea Turner: Steals franchise-record four bags Sunday
Turner went 1-for-3 with a walk and four stolen bases in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Mets.
With Mets starter Jacob deGrom and closer Addison Reed limiting the Nationals to four hits on the afternoon, Turner received the green light from manager Dusty Baker to try manufacturing runs with his legs. While Turner was stranded in scoring position in three of his four plate appearances and never ended up crossing home plate, his aggressiveness on the basepaths allowed him to set a new franchise record for steals in a game. With 26 stolen bases on the season, Turner is just three shy of the Reds' Billy Hamilton's MLB-leading total, which is even more impressive when considering that Turner missed nearly two weeks in April with a strained hamstring.

Chris Owings SS | LAD
Diamondbacks' Chris Owings: Smacks eighth round tripper
Owings went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's win over Philadelphia.
The shortstop is beginning to heat up again with at least one hit in nine of his past 10 outings, plus two homers, nine RBI, seven runs and a respectable .275 batting average. Owings is moving the fantasy needle in the majority of fantasy settings because of his cross-category production and attachment to a high-powered offense. For the year, he's now up to eight homers, 39 RBI, nine stolen bases, 28 runs and a .292/.327/.465 slash line.

Allen Cordoba SS | CIN
Padres' Allen Cordoba: Moves to leadoff spot Sunday
Cordoba will start in left field and lead off Sunday against the Brewers, Bob Scanlan of Fox Sports San Diego reports.
Jose Pirela is receiving the day off after going 0-for-13 over the last three games, so Cordoba will move up to the leadoff spot after previously having occupied a spot in the bottom third of the order. Since Pirela is still hitting .341 over his 11 games since being called up to the Padres, it's likely that he'll stick around as the team's table setter for the time being, so Cordoba's assignment atop the lineup will likely be short-lived.

Chase d'Arnaud SS | SF
Padres' Chase d'Arnaud: Smacks clutch HR off bench Saturday
D'Arnaud came off the bench and delivered the go-ahead home run in Saturday's extra-inning win over Milwaukee.
After getting a brief run of playing time with his new club, d'Arnaud has been relegated to a bench role over the Padres' last eight games. With three options capable of playing shortstop, manager Andy Green has been rolling with the hot hand. Saturday's timely home run could net the 30-year-old another look in the lineup, but he won't warrant deep-league consideration until he is seeing regular at-bats.
-
Orlando Arcia SS | MIN
Brewers' Orlando Arcia: Slaps inside-the-park homer
Arcia went 2-for-4 with an inside-the-park home run during Saturday's loss to San Diego.
A full-time gig has enabled Arcia to accumulate 21 RBI and 25 runs this season, but his .258/.300/.378 slash line, five homers and four stolen bases are underwhelming virtual numbers. In cavernous mixed and NL-only settings, the 22-year-old shortstop offers a modest fantasy floor through consistent playing time, but his ceiling is low.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Breaks out in big-league return
DeJong went 3-for-4 with three RBI from a run-scoring single and a two-run home run in Friday's 11-2 win over the Orioles.
One of the more impressive aspects of what was the best game of the 23-year-old's nascent career was the fact that he did his damage out of the nine-hole. DeJong is likely in for a stretch of starts with Kolten Wong (forearm) back on the shelf for the time being, and he's proven capable of holding his own against major-league pitching in his brief stints with the Cardinals; factoring in Friday's production, he's slashing .286/.469/.286 with three doubles, two home runs and seven RBI over his first 49 big-league at-bats.
