Seager went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in a victory versus Miami on Wednesday.

Seager launched a 416-foot shot to center field in the first inning to plate two runs and notched another RBI with a single in the seventh. The 25-year-old began August with a whimper, going 5-for-31 with one RBI over the first nine games, but has turned things around to collect five hits in his last 13 at-bats with a pair of homers and five runs batted in.

Anderson went 4-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored Wednesday against the Astros.

Anderson collected a hit in each of his last four plate appearances, notching his first multi-extra-base hit performance since June 22. Anderson has hit the ball well in August, lacing at least one hit in 11 of his 13 games and recording multiple hits on six occasions. While he's often started seasons hot, Anderson has now maintained a stellar .323/.346/.491 line across 347 plate appearances.

DeJong went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and another run scored in Wednesday's 6-0 win over the Royals.

DeJong crushed a 432-foot homer off Josh Staumont in the eighth inning. The long ball was his 20th of the season, as the 26-year-old became the first Cardinals shortstop to produce multiple 20-home run campaigns. Factoring in Tuesday's production, DeJong is batting .250/.328/.454 with 76 runs scored and 54 RBI this season.

Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with a walk, two home runs and four RBI Wednesday against the Indians.

Bogarts delivered his first home run of the game in the third inning by taking Shane Bieber deep for a solo shot. He followed that up with a three-run homer in the seventh inning, bringing his total for the season to 27. The two long balls were his first since Aug. 1, when he also managed a two-homer game. Despite the lack of power recently, Bogaerts is hitting .305/.382/.561 across 539 plate appearances for the season.

Manager Ned Yost said Mondesi (shoulder) still doesn't have an exact timetable for his return, though he could plausibly return sometime in early September, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

Mondesi has been sidelined since July 16 with a left shoulder subluxation, and it's no surprise that the Royals -- who are well out of playoff contention -- are proceeding cautiously with the speedster. The 24-year-old is still second in the majors in stolen bases (31) despite the missed time.

Swanson (foot) has yet to resume fielding drills and remains without a clear timeline to return from the 10-day injured list, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

The Braves initially believed Swanson's right foot injury would result in a minimum-length stay on the injured list, but his absence has lingered far longer than either the shortstop or organization anticipated. Swanson, who missed a 19th consecutive game Tuesday, remains in recovery mode and has yet to resume baseball activities since experiencing a setback while doing some light running earlier this month. Realistically, he probably won't be ready to return from the IL until at least early-to-mid-September while he battles a bone bruise in his heel and inflammation in other areas of the foot.

Wendle (wrist) could begin a rehab assignment with the Rays' rookie-level Gulf Coast League affiliate as soon as Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Wendle, who has been sidelined since July 28 with a sore right wrist, is at the same point in his recovery as fellow utility man Brandon Lowe. Assuming Wendle gets the green light to play in GCL games by the end of the week, he'll likely move his rehab program to a higher-level affiliate shortly thereafter. Once he eventually makes his return to the Rays in late August or early September, Wendle may have to settle for a limited role with Lowe and Eric Sogard both representing superior lefty-hitting options that offer similar positional versatility.

Tejada had his contract purchased from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports. He's starting at second base and hitting seventh against the Braves, Matt Ehalt of Yahoo Sports reports.

Tejada will join the Mets in place of the injured Jeff McNeil, who landed on the shelf Wednesday with a hamstring injury. The 29-year-old hasn't appeared in the majors since 2017, when he hit just .230 with a .576 OPS in 41 games for Baltimore. He had been raking for Syracuse this season, however, slashing .330/.408/.476 across 304 plate appearances.

Adames went 3-for-4 with an RBI single, a double, a walk and two runs in a win over the Padres on Tuesday.

Adames' second-half surge continued in impressive fashion Tuesday, as he played a part in nearly half of the team's runs for the night. The shortstop is now hitting .333 (18-for-54) with three doubles, five home runs, 10 RBI, eight walks, one hit-by-pitch and 14 runs across the 64 plate appearances he's logged in his last 16 games. Moreover, with a modest two round trippers and five RBI through his first 11 games of the month, he's nevertheless just one shy of matching the tally he accumulated in each category during all of July.

Mateo is on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Las Vegas with minor ankle soreness, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Assuming the injury is indeed minor, Mateo could join the big-league club when rosters expand in September. He does not necessarily have an everyday job waiting for him, but he is on the 40-man roster and could at least provide defense and speed on the bases off the bench late in games.
