The Rockies are expected to activate Story (thumb) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Astros, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.

Story started in rehab games with Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday and Sunday, playing five innings at shortstop in the first contest and seven innings in the second one. With Story reporting no setbacks with his sprained right thumb Monday, the All-Star should receive the green light to slot back into the Rockies' everyday lineup. Story's impending return will likely result in either Pat Valaika or Garrett Hampson getting optioned to Triple-A.

Mondesi (groin) appeared in a pair of rehab games for Double-A Northwest Arkansas over the weekend, going 2-for-9 with a double and a stolen base between the two contests.

After occupying the designated-hitter spot in his first rehab outing Saturday, Mondesi played all nine innings at shortstop a day later. Mondesi received Monday off, which could set the stage for an activation from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's contest against the Indians. Even if Kansas City determines Mondesi requires additional action in the minors before being reinstated, he at least remains on track to rejoin the big club before the All-Star break.

Baez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 18-5 loss to the Pirates.

It was an ugly game all around for the Cubs, but it was nice to see Baez jump back into action after sitting Sunday and hit his 21st home run of the season. The 26-year-old's career high in home runs for a season is the 34 he hit last year, and he figures to fly past that number in 2019 if he stays healthy.

Crawford isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Padres, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Crawford will head to the bench with a lefty in Logan Allen slated to toe the rubber for the opposition. Donovan Solano is leading off and starting at shortstop in Crawford's absence.

Arcia is out of the lineup for Monday's game versus the Reds.

Arcia heads to the bench for the third time in the last four contests and finished June with a .184/.226/.391 slash line with five homers in 24 games. Manager Craig Counsell said Tyler Saladino will be splitting time at shortstop with Arcia going forward, with Saladino receiving the starting nod Monday.

Wendle is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The utility man had started each of the Rays' three games versus Texas over the weekend, going 2-for-8 at the plate with two RBI. Wendle, who is hitting just .192 since returning from the injured list in mid-June, doesn't have a clear path to an everyday role now that Yandy Diaz is healthy again.

Bichette went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double and a run scored for Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.

The 21-year-old is now slashing a sizzling .365/.460/.554 through 20 games with two homers, eight steals, 11 RBI and 16 runs since recovering from a hand injury. Bichette is probably ready for a promotion right now, but with Freddy Galvis doing a solid job at shortstop for the Jays and the team not in contention, it could be a while before he joins Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Cavan Biggio in the majors.

Swanson went 3-for-5 with a double and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Mets.

Swanson registered three hits for the second straight game, raising his batting average 10 points over that span. He is in the midst of a career year at the plate, having already slugged a career-best 15 home runs while setting a pace for career highs in all three slash line categories. On the season, this slash line now sits at .269/.332/.483.

Bogaerts went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in a 12-8 loss to the Yankees on Sunday.

The 26-year-old went 1-for-3 in both games in London, reaching base four times during the two-game set. Bogaerts has hits in 12 of his last 13 games and has 10 extra-base hits during that stretch. He is batting .299 with 16 home runs, 57 RBI, 63 runs and three steals in 311 at-bats this season.

Crawford went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's loss to the Astros.

Crawford gave his club an early 1-0 lead in the first inning with a solo blast to right center, but Seattle was unable to do any additional damage on the day. The 24-year-old shortstop is slashing .310/.380/.500 with three homers and 22 RBI over 33 contests this season.
