Turner (finger) left his rehab assignment at High-A Potomac and rejoined the Nationals for a workout Thursday, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.

Turner's return to Washington wasn't believed to be the result of any setback he incurred with his fractured finger, so it could signal that the team intends to activate him from the 10-day injured list ahead of Friday's series opener with the Cubs. The Nationals will presumably assess Turner's condition during the workout before determining whether he's ready to rejoin the big club or if he's in need of more at-bats on the farm. Turner played nine innings at shortstop on back-to-back days at Potomac, going 1-for-8 with a walk and four strikeouts between the two contests.

Mondesi went 3-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Rangers.

It's the second time in the last week Mondesi has swiped two bags in the same game, pushing his league-leading SB total up to 15. The 23-year-old is also slashing .281/.317/.497, numbers right in line with last year's second-half breakout, and he has five homers, 24 runs and 35 RBI through 42 games on the season.

Story was diagnosed with a bruised left knee after exiting Wednesday's loss to Boston, but he hopes to play Friday at Philadelphia, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Story collided with teammate Raimel Tapia on a play down the left-field line during the bottom of the ninth inning, and was then removed from the game. The early diagnosis is good news for the 26-year-old, and he will have Thursday's scheduled off day to aid in his recovery before this weekend's series against the Phillies.

Story left Wednesday's loss to the Red Sox in the 10th inning after colliding earlier with teammate Raimel Tapia on a play in the field, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Saunders further elaborated that Story wanted to remain in the game, but the Rockies exercised a little bit of caution. According to Michael Spencer of CBS Denver, manager Bud Black said after the game the potential issue is with the 26-year-old's left knee. The team has a scheduled off day Thursday before playing the Phillies on the road Friday.

Rojas exited Wednesday's game against the Rays with back spasms, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Rojas appeared to tweak his back while running the bases and attempted to remain in the game, but was removed shortly after retaking the field. The 30-year-old will have a full day to recover with Thursday's scheduled off day and should be considered day-to-day.

Crawford went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Blue Jays.

Crawford took Ryan Tepera deep in the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie, providing what turned out to be the game-winning run. He now has two home runs on the season, but is still slugging just .278 across 160 plate appearances. His strikeout rate is up five percentage points from a year ago.

Gordon (wrist) appeared as a pinch runner in a win over the Athletics on Tuesday and stayed in the game on defense but did not log a plate appearance.

Gordon's cameo was another encouraging sign that the speedster is tracking toward a return. The veteran progressed to taking pregame fielding work and batting practice before Tuesday's game, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports, and Gordon has stated he feels the wrist is close to being back to full strength. Manager Scott Servais remains hopeful Gordon will be ready to reenter the starting lineup against the Twins for the start of a four-game series Thursday.

Fletcher will start in left field and bat seventh Wednesday against the Twins, Maria Torres of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Fletcher finds himself in the lineup for the 11th straight game, with three of his last four starts coming in the outfield while Kole Calhoun has been on paternity leave. Calhoun should rejoin the Angels this weekend, but Fletcher could still stick in the starting nine regularly at second base with the Angels having seemingly transitioned the struggling Zack Cozart to a reserve role. Cozart has sat out all three games of the series in Minnesota, with Fletcher and the newly recalled Luis Rengifo both sticking in the lineup over him.

Diaz went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, three RBI and a walk in an 11-4 victory against the Tigers on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old has been receiving consistent playing time because of an injury to Jose Altuve (hamstring), and he's taken advantage of it. Diaz has two hits in each of the last three games and three homers in the last four contests. During those four games, he also has 10 RBI. Overall, he's batting .263 with five homers, 21 RBI and 11 runs in just 76 at-bats.

Correa went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and a triple in an 11-4 victory against the Tigers on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old put together a very strong April, but he's been even better in May. Almost halfway through the month, Correa is hitting .298 with four homers, nine RBI and 10 runs. He's 6-for-13 (.462) with four RBI in the last three contests. Overall, Correa is batting .298 with 10 homers, 27 RBI, 22 runs, one steal and a .589 slugging percentage in 151 at-bats this season.
