Mets' Bo Bichette: Back in action Thursday
Bichette (leg/ankle) will start at third base and bat third Thursday against the Phillies.
Bichette got a break from starting during the Mets' final series of the first half, giving him a chance to recover from general leg and ankle soreness. After getting three additional days off thanks to the All-Star break, the 28-year-old is now ready to return to the starting nine. With just a .676 OPS through 96 games, Bichette is on track for one of the worst seasons of his career. However, since the beginning of June, he's turned things around with a .315/.342/.490 slash line over 155 plate appearances.

Mets' Bo Bichette: Sitting for third straight game
Bichette (leg/ankle) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
Just as interim manager Andy Green hinted would be the case, Bichette will hit the bench for the Mets' final game before the All-Star break while he contends with general leg and right ankle soreness. In Bichette's absence, Zack Short will draw a third straight start in the New York infield. Bichette walked in a pinch-hitting appearance during Saturday's 4-0 loss and should be available off the bench again Sunday, setting the stage for his likely to return to the starting nine immediately following the All-Star break.

Mets' Bo Bichette: Dealing with sore legs, ankle
Mets interim manager Andy Green said Saturday that Bichette is dealing with soreness in his legs and his right ankle, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Bichette's soreness helps to explain why he has been left out of the starting lineup since the Mets began their series against Boston. Green noted that Bichette is available off the bench, but the 28-year-old infielder may also sit out Sunday's game to give him more time to fully "reset" ahead of the second half. If that ends up being the case, Zack Short would be likely to pick up another start in the infield.

The performance snapped a brief seven-game skid in which he'd gone 5-for-25 without a multi-hit effort. Despite that small swoon, Bichette's mostly been on fire over the last month, and in 27 contests since June 3 he's delivered a .343/.368/.565 slash line with 13 extra-base hits (seven doubles, a triple and five homers), 16 runs and 19 RBI.

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in the Mets' 10-5 loss to the Cubs in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
Bichette continued his scorching stretch at the plate, taking Gavin Hollowell deep for a solo homer in the sixth inning before adding a double in the eighth. The long ball was his 10th of the season, and half of those have come over his last 13 games. Bichette has hit .388 during that stretch, providing a much-needed offensive spark after a slow start to the year.

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 9-6 loss to the Cubs.
Bichette launched a two-run homer off Jayden Murray in the ninth inning for his ninth long ball of the year. The 28-year-old has been on fire lately, batting .405 (17-for-42) with 10 RBI over his last 10 games. The hot streak has significantly boosted his season numbers, as he has raised his batting average from .213 on June 2 to .251 entering Wednesday. Through 341 plate appearances, Bichette owns a .674 OPS with 11 doubles, one triple, nine home runs, 44 RBI, 40 runs scored and one stolen base.

Bichette went 2-for-3 with two home runs and six RBI in Friday's 7-5 win over Atlanta.
The 28-year-old started the scoring with a leadoff homer in the bottom of the first inning, followed up with a grand slam in the second and then delivered a sacrifice fly in the fourth to account for all but one of the Mets' runs. The RBI total matches a career high for Bichette, who has now homered in each of the past two contests and is batting .316 (12-for-38) with six extra-base hits, 12 RBI and five runs through 10 games in June.
