Swanson is not in the lineup for the afternoon portion of Monday's doubleheader against the Marlins.

Swanson is hitting just 4-for-29 in the month of August. Charlie Culberson will get the call at shortstop in his place.

Adames went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's 2-1 loss against the Blue Jays.

Adames pushed across Tampa Bay's only run of the contest in the fourth inning by singling to left field. The bullpen would later allow runs in the sixth and eighth innings on the way to a one-run loss. Adames has put together a modest six-game hitting streak over the course of the Rays' last two series, going 11-for-23 with three extra-base hits and three RBI during that stretch. Tampa Bay is slated to begin a three-game series with the Yankees on Tuesday.

Correa went 1-for-5 with an RBI in Sunday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Mariners.

Correa's check-swing dribbler in the eighth inning eluded the defense and ended up being a run-producing single. It was his first hit since being activated off the disabled list last week. Correa's 1-for-11 with two walks and four strikeouts since his return.

DeJong went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in the 8-2 win over Kansas City on Sunday.

DeJong has three homers in his last five games, bringing him to 12 on the season alongside his 35 RBI. He owns a disappointing .760 OPS in just 305 plate appearances this season after registering a .857 number in his rookie campaign last year.

d'Arnaud (knee) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

A knee bruise had been affecting d'Arnaud since Tuesday, but he was used as a defensive replacement for the ninth inning in Friday's game, so he appears to be healthy. Evan Longoria and Joe Panik will start at third and second base Sunday, respectively.

Mondesi is not in the lineup Sunday against the Cardinals, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

Mondesi has just a .605 OPS over the past 14 games, so he'll head to the bench for what appears to be a routine day off. Alcides Escobar will replace him at shortstop for the afternoon.

Wendle went 2-for-4 with an RBI ground-rule double in a win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Wendle opened the scoring with his timely two-bagger in the first, plating Mallex Smith for his fourth RBI over the last two games. The 28-year-old is now hitting .407 over the first eight games of August, a surge that's already boosted his season average 10 points to .295.

Gordon is not in the lineup Sunday, Alyson Footer of MLB.com reports.

This news didn't raise any alarms given that the Astros are trotting lefty Dallas Keuchel to the mound for the series finale. However, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports that Gordon is actually dealing with a shoulder injury incurred during a slide in Saturday's game. He's available off the bench Sunday, but the Mariners may opt to be careful with him since they're getting All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano (suspension) back Tuesday. In the meantime, Andrew Romine will fill in at the keystone.

Bogaerts is not in the lineup Sunday against the Orioles, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

There were reports that the young shortstop could need X-rays following Saturday's doubleheader, and they proved to be true. Bill Koch of the Providence Journal reports that Bogaerts' X-rays came back negative, showing he just has a jammed left pinkie finger. He's available off the bench, but to start, Brock Holt will assume shortstop duties.

Bogaerts was seen walking with a team trainer after Saturday's second doubleheader game and was expected to have an X-ray, but he later said he was fine, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Abraham's report on Bogaerts' reaction to the testing didn't seem to raise much urgency over the matter, but given Bogaerts' recent troubles with wrist soreness from being hit by a pitch, it's easy to be concerned either way. The team should release more details in the near future.
