Edman went 0-for-1 with three walks, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 8-7 win over the Mets.

Edman has four steals in his last 11 games despite batting a paltry .105 (4-for-38) with five walks in that span. While he was able to find a way on base multiple times Sunday, that's been a rarity lately -- it's his strong defense in center field that has kept him in the lineup. Edman is at a .233/.299/.401 slash line with 12 stolen bases, seven home runs, 26 RBI and 35 runs scored across 253 plate appearances.

DeJong went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-7 win over the Mets.

After slumping a bit last week, DeJong has rebounded to go 6-for-23 (.261) with two homers over his last six games. The shortstop's third-inning blast gave the Cardinals a 6-4 lead Sunday. For the season, he's at a .228/.298/.444 slash line with 10 homers, 21 RBI, 25 runs scored and three stolen bases over 46 contests. With Tommy Edman taking over in center field, DeJong has seen an extended run as the starting shortstop despite his mediocre work at the plate in recent weeks.

Bogaerts went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a walk in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Rays.

Bogaerts saw his seven-game hitting streak end Saturday, but he's been sharp lately, hitting safely in 12 of his last 14 games. The steal was also his third in his last five contests, giving him nine thefts on the season. The shortstop is at a .265/.352/.400 slash line with seven home runs, 24 RBI and 36 runs scored through 66 contests, but his recent hitting is much more in line with his career level of play.

Schmitt (arm) underwent X-rays that came back negative after exiting Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Schmitt was removed from Sunday's matchup shortly after being hit by a pitch on his right arm, but he doesn't appear to be dealing with any structural damage. He should tentatively be considered day-to-day ahead of Monday's series opener against the Padres.

Diaz went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Phillies.

Diaz has hit safely in four straight games and seven of his last nine, going 10-for-27 (.370) over the longer span. The homer was his first since April 14 and his second of the year. The versatile infielder is up to a .211/.269/.286 slash line with 11 RBI, 12 runs scored and a stolen base through 175 plate appearances while maintaining steady but not everyday playing time in the Athletics' middle infield.

Schmitt was removed from Sunday's game against the Dodgers in the bottom of the eighth inning due to an apparent right arm injury, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Schmitt was hit by a pitch on his right arm in the top of the eighth and initially stayed in the game to run the bases, but he was replaced defensively in the bottom half of the frame. Prior to his departure, he went 1-for-3 with two strikeouts. It's unclear whether he'll be available for Monday's series opener against the Padres.

Fletcher (personal) was activated from the bereavement list by Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The 29-year-old landed on the bereavement list Tuesday but is now back with the Bees after spending a few days with his family. Fletcher is in the midst of a 10-game hit streak with Salt Lake, which includes eight multi-hit performances, and has a .365/.422/.442 slash line in 173 plate appearances with the affiliate.

Tovar was removed from Sunday's game against Atlanta in order to be with his wife after she went into labor, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Tovar went 1-for-3 with a strikeout before he was replaced in the field for the bottom of the fifth inning. Assuming the 21-year-old moves to the paternity list Monday, he should be back with the Rockies ahead of Friday's series opener versus the Angels.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Diaz started four of the past five games at shortstop and should continue to see plenty of starts there with Kevin Smith (back) recently landing on the injured list, but Tyler Wade will receive the nod for Sunday's series finale.

Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Giants, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Rojas started the past four games and will receive a day off after he went 6-for-16 with a double, two stolen bases and two runs during that stretch. Mookie Betts will receive a look at shortstop Sunday while Jason Heyward starts in right field.
