Rangers' Corey Seager: Leaves after HBP
Seager was removed from Tuesday's game against the Mariners after being hit by a pitch in the left forearm, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.
The 28-year-old initially remained in the game after being struck by a 91-mph pitch during the eighth inning, but he was lifted for a pinch runner as a visible bruise formed on his forearm. Seager went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts prior to leaving the contest, and he's likely to undergo X-rays to help determine the extent of the injury.

Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Hits fifth long ball
Perdomo went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Astros.
After getting the day off Sunday, Perdomo returned to the lineup and crushed his fifth homer of the season, a 411-foot shot to right to tie the game at 1-1 before the Astros later broke the game open. The 22-year-old now has a five-game hitting streak during which he is 6-for-16 with three RBI and three runs scored. He is slashing .194/.284/.265 in 141 games this season.

Astros' Jeremy Pena: Swats 20th home run
Pena went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Diamondbacks.
Pena became the sixth Astros rookie ever to hit 20 home runs in a season as he mashed a two-run shot to extend Houston's lead to eight in the eighth inning. With two runs on the day, Pena has now scored in nine of his last 11 games and has 70 runs scored on the season, good for fourth among AL rookies; his 57 RBI rank fifth and his 20 home runs are tied for second.

Rays' Wander Franco: Steals sixth base
Franco went 1-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, a walk and a stolen base in a 6-5 extra-innings win Tuesday in Cleveland.
Franco doubled and scored in the third and walked, stole a base and scored in the 11th. He's 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts this season and Tuesday's steal was his first since July 5. Since returning from a wrist injury Sept. 9, he has a .324/.365/.426 slash line with only five strikeouts in 74 plate appearances.

Phillies' Johan Camargo: Outrighted to Triple-A
Camargo cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.
Camargo was designated for assignment by Philadelphia over the weekend but will remain in the organization after he passed through waivers unclaimed. The 28-year-old posted a .218/.317/.294 slash line in 35 games for Lehigh Valley after he was demoted from the big-league roster in late July.

Smith is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.
Smith is 4-for-34 over his past 11 contests and will take a seat Tuesday in Seattle. Bubba Thompson and Adolis Garcia will start in the corner outfield while Charlie Culberson serves as the designated hitter.

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Shut down for season
The White Sox are shutting down Anderson (hand) for the rest of the season, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Anderson has been making steady progress in his recovery from surgery on his left hand, but with the White Sox out of the playoff picture, there's no point in forcing the issue. Elvis Andrus will continue to get starting reps at shortstop for the rest of the year.

Grissom isn't starting Tuesday's game against the Nationals.
The rookie infielder will get a second consecutive day off after playing in nine straight games for Atlanta. Orlando Arcia will assume his spot at second base and bat ninth.

Red Sox's Trevor Story: Aiming for return next week
Story (heel) isn't expected to return from the 10-day injured list until next week's season-ending series with the Rays, if he's even activated at all, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
After landing on the IL last Thursday with a left heel contusion, Story was ruled out for the entirety of Boston's current series with Baltimore and the team's upcoming series in Toronto. With the Red Sox out of the playoff race, Story could be shut down for the season if he isn't able to resume full baseball activities by the weekend.
