Fortes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

After starting behind the plate the past two days, Fortes will receive a breather. Hunter Feduccia will handle catching duties for the Rays.

Rodon (elbow/hamstring) is scheduled to throw a live bullpen session in the early portion of the coming week, per MLB.com.

Rodon continues to progress in his recovery from left elbow surgery, as he threw a 40-pitch bullpen Thursday. He recently experienced right hamstring tightness, which has affected his ability to field and cover bases, but the organization has suggested that the issue isn't a major concern. Rodon likely won't begin a minor-league rehab assignment until that issue is cleared up, however, and activation before the end of April is looking increasingly unlikely.

Cortes will start at designated hitter and bat fifth in Sunday's game against the Mets.

Cortes will crack the Athletics lineup for the fourth time in five games, with the last three starts coming at DH. The 28-year-old looks as though he'll be in line for regular playing time against righties while Brent Rooker (oblique) is on the shelf. Cortes has wielded a hot bat in the early going, slashing .333/.455/.611 with three extra-base knocks in 22 plate appearances.

Moncada is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Moncada started the previous five games but will head to the bench Sunday after going 2-for-12 with six walks, a triple, two RBI, two runs and seven strikeouts. Oswald Peraza will step in at the hot corner and bat eighth in the series finale in Cincinnati.

Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

The Reds are sending a southpaw starter (Andrew Abbott) to the hill for the second straight day, so the left-handed-hitting Lowe will remain on the bench in the series finale in Cincinnati. Bryce Teodosio will receive the starting nod in left field.

Perez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

After starting the past two games and going 0-for-7, Perez will hit the bench and give way in right field to Zach McKinstry. Given that McKinstry has mustered a lowly .537 OPS through 37 plate appearances, Perez should still receive plenty of playing time while Parker Meadows (arm/concussion) is out of action.

Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a stolen base Saturday in an extra-inning loss to the Rays.

Bellinger has been active on the basepaths early in the season, swiping three bags in four attempts through 14 games. He tallied 13 thefts in 15 tries during the regular season last year and has a career-best mark of 20 steals, which he established in 2023 while with the Cubs. In addition to his trio of steals, Bellinger has posted a .240/.344/.360 slash line with five RBI and nine runs through 61 plate appearances.

Caballero went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Saturday's extra-inning loss to Tampa Bay.

Caballero twice rose to the occasion late in the game, rapping a double to left field in the eighth inning to produce two runs and adding a run-scoring single in the 10th. It was a much-needed outcome for the speedy utility man, as he entered Saturday having gone just 1-for-26 over his previous eight games. Caballero is dragging around a poor .408 OPS through 48 plate appearances overall, with his five stolen bases representing his lone positive fantasy output. He's likely to lose his everyday role at shortstop when Anthony Volpe (shoulder), who will begin a minor-league rehab assignment Tuesday, is ready to be activated.

Silseth allowed one run on four walks and no hits while striking out one batter over one-third of an inning against the Reds on Saturday. He also tossed three wild pitches.

Silseth entered in the bottom of the eighth inning with two outs, Ke'Bryan Hayes on second base and the Angels down 5-3. The righty reliever dug the hole much deeper, and Silseth's final line could have been even uglier had Eugenio Suarez not struck out with the bases loaded to end the frame. Overall, he threw just 10 strikes on 25 pitches. Coming into Saturday, he had posted a 1.80 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 6:2 K:BB over five innings spanning seven appearances, so Silseth's bout of wildness Saturday may have been an anomaly.

Mountcastle (foot) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Mountcastle exited Saturday's 6-2 win due to left foot pain and had been scheduled to undergo an MRI on Sunday. The Orioles should have a better idea of whether Mountcastle will require a stint on the injured list after the testing.
