Yates (knee) has made three minor-league rehab outings since April 17, giving up a combined seven runs on seven hits while posting a 5:1 K:BB over three innings.

Yates' rehab appearances have been spread out, as he's had at least two days off between each outing. The veteran reliever has given up at least one run in each of his one-inning appearances and has served up two homers across his three frames. It's not clear how long the Angels plan to keep Yates on his rehab assignment, and his struggles may not be helping his cause for rejoining the big-league roster in short order. After Jordan Romano was designated for assignment Sunday, the Angels' closer situation is extremely murky, and Yates is a clear candidate to take on the role given his 98 career regular-season saves. However, the club may want to see Yates put together some better outings before feeling comfortable handing him the ball in the ninth inning of close contests.

Rodriguez (shoulder) threw to live hitters in Arizona on Friday, and the Angels are evaluating how he came out of that session before determining the next step in his throwing program, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.

Rodriguez reportedly threw the equivalent of three innings in the live session Friday. The right-handed hurler felt "good" while throwing, according to manager Kurt Suzuki, but the team still wants to see how he recovers before determining his next step. Rodriguez could be headed for a minor-league rehab stint soon, and there's a chance he'll be able to join the Angels sometime in May.

Manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that the Yankees will make a decision on Stanton, who is nursing right calf soreness, before Monday's game versus the Rangers, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Stanton made an early exit from Friday's game against Houston and hasn't played since. While the team hasn't yet announced whether the veteran slugger will need an IL stint, a clue may have been dropped with the news that outfielder Jasson Dominguez is set to be called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Fantasy managers who roster Stanton should get a definitive answer on whether he'll be placed on the IL ahead of Monday's 6:05 PM ET contest in Texas.

Volpe (shoulder) is expected to rejoin the Yankees between Wednesday and Thursday and could be activated from the 10-day injured list, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

Volpe is eight games into a rehab stint that has been split between Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 24-year-old has looked good so far, slashing .308/.333/.423 with a home run, three RBI and two stolen bases, though he's also posted a 1:7 BB:K. Per Romero, Volpe is expected to play a couple more games with Somerset before making his long-awaited return to the big-league club around the middle of the week. The Yankees have an early game Wednesday and are off Thursday, so the club could wait until Friday's series opener in Baltimore before formally activating Volpe. Whenever he's cleared to make his season debut for the Yankees, Volpe is likely to start regularly at shortstop, which would result in Jose Caballero shifting into more of a utility role.

Paredes went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Yankees.

Paredes crossed the plate a season-high three times, also tallying a season-most three RBI. As long as the infielder continues to occupy a premium spot in Houston's lineup -- he's hit third in three straight games -- Paredes should continue to carry plenty of RBI upside. He's gone 9-for-27 (.333) with three homers and eight RBI over his past seven outings to raise his OPS to .711 for the year.

Cortes went 3-for-4 with a two-run triple in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Rangers.

The three-bagger was Cortes' first of the season and the second of his career. The 28-year-old outfielder has been a pleasant surprise so far for the A's, posting a 1.122 OPS over his first 61 at-bats. Cortes has been especially hot in his last seven outings, during which he's batting .538 with three home runs, three doubles and seven RBI covering 26 at-bats.

Lowe went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 11-9 extra-inning loss to the Royals.

Lowe was lifted for a pinch runner in the seventh inning, with Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register noting that the outfielder may have tweaked his calf. However, Fletcher added that it might have been a planned replacement, and the Angels didn't provide an update on Lowe after the game, so it's safe to assume he's fine until information to the contrary surfaces. Lowe's big game lifted his average to .188 on the year, and he's added a .583 OPS, three home runs, nine RBI, six runs scored and a stolen base across 77 plate appearances. He is primarily working on the strong side of a platoon in left field, and a run of four straight left-handed starters against the Angels had limited Lowe to a bench role for much of the past week.

Perkins notched the save Sunday against the Rangers, allowing one hit and no walks in two scoreless innings. He struck out three.

The Athletics were forced into something of a bullpen game once starter J.T. Ginn (shoulder) left in the fourth inning, and they deployed primary closer Joel Kuhnel during the fourth frame. Perkins stepped in while the club hung onto a 2-1 lead in the eighth, recording his second two-inning save of 2026. The right-hander is emerging as a bit of a multi-inning weapon for the A's, boasting a 3.18 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 15:3 K:BB over 11.1 frames.

Neto went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 11-9 extra-inning loss to the Royals.

This was Neto's first multi-hit effort over his last eight games. The shortstop has gone 7-for-30 (.233) in that span, though he has added four doubles, four RBI and three stolen bases. For the season, he's batting .243 with an .803 OPS, five home runs, eight doubles, four steals, 14 RBI and 21 runs scored across 29 contests. Neto has also drawn 20 walks so far, which has helped him function effectively as a leadoff hitter.

Trout went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 11-9 extra-inning loss to the Royals.

Trout gave the Angels a fast start with his first-inning blast. The veteran outfielder has cooled off a bit after his power binge in the middle of April -- he's now gone 10 games without a multi-hit effort. While he's batting just .232 on the year, he has a .960 OPS, nine long balls, 20 RBI, 26 runs scored, four stolen bases and four doubles across 28 contests this season. The biggest question with Trout is durability, but he has been in near-vintage form over the first month of 2026.
