Jobe (elbow) will make his next rehab start Sunday with Double-A Erie, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Jobe started his rehab assignment July 7 with Single-A Lakehead before making his next appearance Monday in the rookie-level Florida Complex League. Between the two rehab outings, Jobe has allowed one run on four hits while striking out five over 4.1 innings. Now in the final stage of his recovery from May 2025 Tommy John surgery, Jobe may need just two or three more rehab starts before making his way back from the 60-day injured list.

Arrighetti did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-2 extra-innings loss to the Orioles, giving up one run on one hit and four walks with six strikeouts over five innings.

Arrighetti allowed only one hit and battled through control issues, limiting the damage despite throwing just 45 of 85 pitches for strikes. The 26-year-old has issued 16 walks with just a 55 percent strike rate over his past four outings, a stretch that includes two one-run performances and two eight-run blowups. He'll take a 4.34 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 87:48 K:BB across 87 innings this season into a road matchup with the White Sox next weekend.

Rogers did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-2 extra-innings win over the Astros, allowing one run on seven hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over 6.1 innings.

Rogers opened with six scoreless innings before allowing a run in the seventh, throwing 72 of 99 pitches for strikes with 12 whiffs and departing in a 1-1 tie. The 28-year-old picked up where he left off heading into the All-Star break, as he's now logged five quality starts in his past six outings while allowing just five earned runs during that stretch. He'll carry a 4.28 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 77:32 K:BB across 96.2 innings this season into a home matchup with Atlanta next weekend.

Sanders earned the save in Saturday's 4-2 extra-innings win over the Astros, striking out one in a perfect 11th inning.

With Tyler Wells and Andrew Kittredge used in the previous two frames, Sanders was asked to close out a two-run lead in the 11th and did so on just nine pitches. The 29-year-old picked up his first major-league win and save in his first two outings with the Orioles after debuting with the club Friday. On the year, he owns a 7.36 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 15:10 K:BB across 11 innings between Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

The Athletics announced that Gelof will begin baseball activities once the stitches on his right knee are removed Tuesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Gelof landed on the 10-day injured list July 10 right due to a right knee laceration. He'll ramp up his rehab program once the stitches in his knee are removed, and if Gelof responds well to workouts, he could bypass a rehab assignment before returning from the IL. Before hitting the shelf, Gelof slashed .273/.327/.476 with 11 home runs, eight steals, 41 runs and 29 RBI across 247 plate appearances with the Athletics.

The Athletics announced Saturday that Kurtz remains limited to participating in range-of-motion and strengthening exercises during his rehab for a right thumb capsule sprain, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Kurtz was placed on the 10-day IL on July 11 due to the injury and will be without a clear timeline for a return until he's able to resume taking part in baseball activities. In the meantime, Tommy White, Jonah Heim and Jeff McNeil could all be candidates to pick up reps at first base in Kurtz's absence.

Walker was removed from Saturday's game against the Orioles due to right hip tightness.

Walker appeared to tweak his right hip on a swing during his plate appearance in the fourth inning. He'll undergo more tests to determine the severity of the injury, but if he were to miss extended time, then LaMonte Wade and Isaac Paredes would be in line to see more reps at first base.

Eovaldi (illness) said Saturday that he is feeling significantly better, and the team believes he'll be ready to make his scheduled start Sunday against Atlanta, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Eovaldi picked up an illness during the All-Star break, but it no longer seems like he's at risk of missing any starts. The 36-year-old finished the first half by posting a 3.48 ERA and 1.16 WHIP across 31 innings covering his last five starts, reaching nine strikeouts four times and also collecting four wins in that span.

Pena was removed from Saturday's game against the Orioles due to a right hamstring cramp.

Pena was removed from the third inning of Saturday's game after taking a swing at the plate. It's unclear whether his hamstring issue will prevent him from starting in Sunday's series finale. Nick Allen would likely start at shortstop if Pena is unable to play.

Bolte isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals.

Bolte will get a day off after collecting a single Friday to break what had been an 0-for-15 skid at the plate. While he rests, Tyler Soderstrom, Lawrence Butler and Carlos Cortes will start across the Athletics' outfield.
