  • Kevin Gausman SP | TOR

Blue Jays' Kevin Gausman: Continues to dominate vs. Rays

Gausman didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Rays, allowing one run on six hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings.

Gausman gave up an early run in the first inning but quickly settled in, retiring 18 of the next 22 batters while blanking Tampa Bay the rest of the way. Coming off a complete-game shutout against Houston in which he allowed just two hits, the right-hander continued his dominant form Wednesday, though Toronto's lack of run support left him with a no-decision. Gausman has now given up only three runs across his last four starts (30 innings), posting a 0.90 ERA and 28:4 K:BB during that span. The veteran is slated to face the Red Sox early next week in his next start.

  • Ian Seymour P | TB

Rays' Ian Seymour: Cruises through seven in win

Seymour (4-2) earned the win Wednesday against the Blue Jays, allowing one unearned run on four hits and one walk while striking out three over seven innings.

The left-hander was sharp throughout, with Toronto's lone run coming in the fourth inning after a defensive miscue on a potential double-play ball extended the frame. Seymour has been hurt by poor defense lately, as he's surrendered 13 runs over his last four starts despite only four being earned. He's been excellent during that stretch, pitching to a 1.69 ERA with a 21:6 K:BB across 21.1 innings. Wednesday's outing also marked the longest start of Seymour's short career, surpassing his previous high of 5.1 innings from his previous start. The 26-year-old is slated to face Baltimore in his next outing.

  • Lucas Giolito SP | BOS

Red Sox's Lucas Giolito: Struggles with command vs. A's

Giolito didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's win against the Athletics, allowing four runs on five hits and five walks while striking out five over 4.1 innings.

Giolito worked around constant traffic early and stranded six runners through four frames to limit the damage to one run, but it caught up to him in the fifth. After a single and two walks loaded the bases with one out, the right-hander was lifted, and all three inherited runners came around to score. The rough outing snapped a strong four-start stretch in which Giolito had posted a 1.46 ERA and 22:10 K:BB across 24.2 innings. He is slated to take the mound against the Blue Jays next, which is a tough assignment given that Toronto leads MLB in runs scored in the back half of the season.

  • Athletics' Mason Barnett: Another short start Wednesday

Barnett didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's loss against the Red Sox, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out two over four innings

The rookie right-hander gave up a run in the first inning before serving up a solo homer to Rob Refsnyder in the second. While he managed to avoid further damage, Barnett has now surrendered 14 runs in just 16.2 innings since his call-up, struggling to find consistency at the major-league level to the tune of a 7.56 ERA, 1.92 WHIP and 15:9 K:BB across four starts. The 24-year-old has tallied more than four innings only once in those four outings. Assuming he retains his rotation spot, Barnett is slated to face the Astros in his next scheduled start.

  • Cody Bellinger LF | NYY

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Clubs 29th homer

Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 10-5 win over the Twins.

Bellinger blasted his 29th big fly of the year, putting him on the verge of the second 30-homer campaign of his career and his first since his 2019 National League MVP season. The veteran outfielder is on the cusp of recording a 100-RBI season for the second time in his career as well, as he's up to 97 RBI in 2025. Bellinger has also been a five-category contributor for fantasy managers, batting .275 with 81 runs scored and 12 stolen bases over 553 at-bats to go with his strong power figures.

  • Trent Grisham CF | NYY

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Goes yard twice Wednesday

Grisham went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's 10-5 win over the Twins.

Grisham now has seven multi-homer games for his career, and five of them have come in 2025. Perhaps even more remarkably, three of these efforts have occurred in his last 26 outings (112 plate appearances), during which Grisham is slashing .223/.339/.606 with 12 round trippers, 25 RBI and two stolen bases to boost his OPS to a career-high .825 for the year.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | SEA

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Explodes with homer, four hits

Suarez went 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBI and three runs scored in Wednesday's 7-5 loss to the Royals.

Suarez broke out in a big way -- he entered Wednesday having gone hitless in his last eight games following a two-homer performance Sept. 7 in Atlanta. The All-Star third baseman still has time to turn in the first 50-homer campaign of his career, as he's up to 46 big flies in 2025. That said, Suarez has a miserable .453 OPS over 23 home games since joining Seattle, but his .904 OPS across 20 contests on the road has kept his fantasy value afloat.

  • Royals' Ryan Bergert: Headed for IL

The Royals are expected to place Bergert on the 15-day injured list Thursday with forearm tightness, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Bergert reported a problem with his forearm after throwing a bullpen session Wednesday. The 25-year-old's move to the IL will put an early end to his rookie regular season, finishing with a 3.66 ERA and 1.26 WHIP alongside a 73:35 K:BB across 76.1 innings.

  • Royals' Salvador Perez: Socks 29th homer

Perez went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and two walks in Wednesday's 7-5 win over the Mariners.

Perez is now up to 29 long balls and 92 RBI this year, putting him on the precipice of his first 30-homer campaign since 2021 and the second of his career. The veteran backstop has six big flies in September and four in his past four games. Over his last 57 at-bats, Perez is batting just .211 but is slugging .561 with 15 RBI as he also pushes for the third 100-RBI season of his career.

  • Royals' Carlos Estevez: Notches 40th save in return

Estevez (back) picked up the save Wednesday against the Mariners, allowing one run on three hits with no strikeouts or walks in the ninth inning.

After leaving Sunday's win over Philadelphia due to mild back tightness, Estevez returned to action Wednesday but was shaky in collecting his MLB-leading 40th save. The earned run was his first allowed since Aug. 13 versus Washington, and the three hits given up were his most since July 3 in Seattle. Estevez has still produced a 2.53 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 52:22 K:BB over 64 innings, and the veteran right-hander appears to be locked in as the Royals' closer to close out his excellent campaign.
