Soriano did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 11-5 extra-inning win against the Athletics. He allowed five runs on eight hits and one walk over 5.2 innings with five strikeouts.

The Los Angeles right-hander coughed up a season-worst three long balls, as he was saddled with five or more runs for the eighth time in 26 starts. Soriano fired 102 total pitches but managed to generate only 10 whiffs while notching five or more Ks for the fifth time in his six post-All-Star break starts. Through 148.2 total frames, the 26-year-old now sports a 4.00 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 130:64 K:BB. Soriano is currently scheduled to make his next appearance at home against the Cubs next weekend.

Springs did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 11-5 extra-inning loss to the Angels. He conceded five runs on eight hits and three walks over 4.2 innings with five strikeouts.

The Athletics southpaw was tagged for five or more runs for the sixth time this season in this 100-pitch outing. Springs gave up a three-run homer to Jo Adell in the first and then allowed the other two runs on a Christian Moore single in the fifth. Despite generating an astounding 18 whiffs, the 32-year-old struggled once again at home, where he now sports a 4.72 ERA across 66.2 frames (compared to a 3.80 mark in 73.1 road innings). Springs will carry a 4.24 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 114:44 K:BB into his next matchup, which is currently slated to come at Seattle next weekend.

Crochet didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Miami, allowing one run on three hits and one walk with eight strikeouts across seven innings.

Crochet tied his season high in runs allowed in his last start, but he rebounded with a dominant performance against the Marlins. The lone run attributed to Crochet came in the third inning via a solo home run by Eric Wagaman. Crochet has struck out eight or more in three of his last four starts, and Sunday's outing was his first no-decision in eight appearances. In 25 starts this season, Crochet has a 2.43 ERA and a 196:41 K:BB across 159.1 innings. He's on pace to face the Yankees next weekend.

Weissert (4-4) took the loss and blew a save during Sunday's game against Miami, allowing two runs on two hits with no strikeouts over one-third of an inning.

The Red Sox called upon Weissert in the ninth inning Sunday, as closer Aroldis Chapman got the day off after pitching in back-to-back games. Weissert inherited a one-run lead, but he surrendered a leadoff homer to Dane Myers on his second pitch of the inning. The 30-year-old reliever departed the contest with a runner on first in favor of Steven Matz, who yielded a go-ahead two-run homer to the first batter he faced. Weissert has now blown seven of his 10 save chances, and he yielded multiple runs in an outing Sunday for the first time since July 2.

Mederos is slated to start Monday's game against the Reds in Anaheim.

Mederos will receive a second turn through the rotation despite an underwhelming performance in his first career big-league start this past Tuesday. The right-hander took a no-decision against the Dodgers, covering four innings and striking out three batters while allowing three hits and three walks. Mederos will tentatively line up for a two-start week, but a poor showing against the Reds could prompt the Angels to go in a different direction the next time his turn comes up Sunday versus the Cubs.

Pepiot (8-10) took the loss Sunday at San Francisco, coughing up four runs on six hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out eight.

The 28-year-old generated an impressive 17 whiffs out of his 93 total pitches but unraveled late in this outing. After blanking the Giants over five innings, Pepiot conceded four runs on four hits and a walk in the sixth. The Tampa Bay right-hander has struggled since the All-Star break, posting a 5.88 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 36:14 K:BB across 33.2 frames. Pepiot may be wearing down, as he's pitched a career-high 142.1 total innings, which could cause the Rays to seek respite for him down the stretch. He is currently scheduled to make his next start at home against St. Louis next weekend.

Bateman was promoted to High-A Aberdeen on Sunday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Bateman has posted a 2.45 ERA and 1.77 WHIP with six strikeouts over 7.1 innings in two starts with Single-A Delmarva since joining the Orioles' organization July 31. In total this season, he has compiled a 3.93 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 81 punchouts over 75.2 innings in 17 starts with Delmarva and Single-A Lake Elsinore.

Buxton went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a stolen base and an additional run scored in Sunday's 8-1 win over the Tigers.

After going just 4-for-23 with a pair of extra-base hits in his first six games back from the IL, Buxton broke out with a big effort Sunday, highlighted by his 25th home run this season in the third inning off Chris Paddack. Overall, the 31-year-old Buxton is batting .280 with an .896 OPS, 61 RBI, 73 runs scored and 18 stolen bases across 394 plate appearances this season.

Warren did not factor into the decision Sunday against St. Louis, allowing three runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk across 4.2 innings. He struck out three.

While Warren couldn't make it out of the fifth inning Sunday, the right-hander still hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in any of his last five starts -- he's posted a 1.93 ERA in that span over 28 frames. Overall, the 26-year-old Warren is 7-5 with a 4.25 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 143:55 K:BB across 26 starts (127 innings) this season. He's currently lined up to face the Red Sox at home his next time out.

De Vries was promoted to Double-A Midland on Sunday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

De Vries will move up a level in the Athletics' minor-league system after combining to bat .249 with 10 home runs, 58 RBI, 55 runs scored and nine stolen bases over 366 at-bats between High-A Fort Wayne and High-A Lansing this season. The 18-year-old is considered to be the team's top overall prospect, and he'll now get the chance to dip his toe into the Double-A level before the conclusion of the 2025 campaign.
