Kahnle allowed two runs on two hits and two walks across 1.1 innings of relief in Tuesday's 9-6 loss to the White Sox. He struck out two.

Kahnle has allowed at least one run in five of his last six outings, and he has a 9.53 ERA during the rough stretch. Since the start of July, the veteran's ERA is 16.36. Before then, Kahnle was having a nice season with a 1.77 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 31 strikeouts across his first 35.2 innings of 2025, but he's now sitting with a 5.21 ERA and 1.33 WHIP, and the righty has quickly fallen out of favor in the Detroit bullpen.

Greene went 2-for-4 with a walk and two doubles in Tuesday's 9-6 loss to the White Sox.

Greene has three multi-hit performances over his last five games, and he's gone 7-for-18 overall in that stretch with a home run, three doubles, three RBI and four runs scored. It's a positive development for the talented outfielder, who came out of the All-Star break slowly with a .171 batting average in his first 17 games of the second half. Greene seems to be settling into a groove and could quickly build on his 27 home runs and 87 RBI, both of which are already new career highs.

Kremer (8-9) took the loss Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over eight innings as the Orioles were downed 1-0 by the Mariners. He struck out six.

The right-hander put together one of his best performances of the season, completing eight innings for the first time as he dialed up his seventh quality start of the year on 101 pitches (67 strikes). Seattle squeezed a run across in the top of the first inning, however, and Baltimore's bats couldn't solve George Kirby and the M's bullpen. Kremer hasn't gotten into the win column since the All-Star break, but he hasn't pitched poorly, posting a 3.94 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 28:9 K:BB over five starts and 32 innings. He'll try to end his winless streak in his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road this weekend in Houston.

Melton is likely to work as the bulk pitcher for the Tigers in Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Tony Paul of The Detroit News reports.

The Tigers are building in an extra rest day for all five members of their rotation this week, so Melton will be tasked with covering most of the innings Wednesday in what could be a bullpen day. One of the Tigers' top pitching prospects, Melton has had a breakout season in the minors and has been excellent for Detroit after a blowup outing in his big-league debut July 23. In his last three appearances, Melton has a 0.73 ERA, 0.73 WHIP, eight strikeouts and two wins in 12.1 innings. Melton last logged 3.1 innings in a relief appearance Friday, so he should be able to offer the Tigers a decent amount of length in his return to the bump.

Arozarena went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Orioles.

The 30-year-old outfielder manufactured the game's only run in the top of the first inning, singling up the middle on the first pitch he saw from Dean Kremer, swiping second and then dashing home on a Josh Naylor single. Arozarena has hit leadoff in 11 straight games, slashing .256/.347/.419 over that stretch with two homers, three steals, four RBI and nine runs, and he sits just two longs balls and two pilfers away from his first career 25-25 campaign.

Munoz gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 28th save of the season in a 1-0 win over the Orioles. He struck out one.

The right-hander is a perfect 7-for-7 in converting save chances since the All-Star break. Munoz hasn't been at his sharpest during that span, walking nine batters in 11 innings, but he's been scored on just once in 11 appearances thanks to 14 strikeouts. On the season, Munoz boasts a 1.34 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 60:23 K:BB through 47 frames.

The White Sox plan to give Mead regular playing time at third base down the stretch, Kyle Williams of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Mead handled first base in his first six starts for the White Sox, but Miguel Vargas returned from the injured list Tuesday and is slated to play that position moving forward. That leaves the hot corner for Mead, although the White Sox will have more juggling to do with their infield once Chase Meidroth (thumb) is back. Mead is 7-for-27 with five RBI in his first eight games since arriving in Chicago.

Kirby (8-5) picked up the win in Tuesday's 1-0 victory over the Orioles, allowing three hits over seven scoreless innings. He struck out seven without walking a batter.

The right-hander racked up 32 called or swinging strikes among his 87 pitches (57 total strikes) en route to his fourth straight win, and his eighth quality start of the season. Kirby has gotten into the win column in seven of his last eight outings, delivering a 2.42 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 54:11 K:BB across 48.1 innings during that red-hot stretch. He'll look to keep rolling in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come on the road this weekend against the Mets.

India went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Nationals.

India padded the Royals' lead with a two-run blast in the sixth inning to put them up 7-2. India has five RBI in August, which has all come from his two home runs. He's had a prolonged slump at the plate, slashing .169/.281/.338 with three homers, 14 RBI and 12 runs scored in 21 games since July 18.

Pasquantino went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer, a double and five RBI in Tuesday's win over the Nationals.

Pasquantino paced the offense with a three-run blast in the third and added on with an RBI double in the seventh. He posted his second five-RBI game of the season. Prior to Tuesday's big performance, Pasquantino was just 6-for-41 through 10 games in August. Despite that, he's been productive for a second straight year and is pacing for 25-plus home runs after hitting his 21st on Tuesday.
