Schneemann is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Schneemann and fellow left-handed hitters Kyle Manzardo, Bo Naylor and Nolan Jones will head to the bench for the second time in the series while the Mets send southpaw David Peterson to the hill for the finale. With Schneemann out of the lineup, Angel Martinez and C.J. Kayfus will pick up starts in the outfield alongside left fielder Steven Kwan.

Manzardo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Manzardo and fellow left-handed hitters Daniel Schneemann, Bo Naylor and Nolan Jones will head to the bench for the second time in the series while the Mets send southpaw David Peterson to the hill for the finale. David Fry will replace Manzardo as the Guardians' designated hitter and will bat cleanup.

Barger went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Rockies.

Starting at third base and batting cleanup, Barger went back-to-back with Vladimir Guerrero in the sixth inning to help blow the game open in a 10-4 victory. It was Barger's 17th homer of the year, but the 25-year-old has cooled down a little of late. Over the last 15 games, he's slashing .219/.275/.438 with a 29.0 percent strikeout rate, although he's also produced three long balls, 10 runs and 12 RBI.

Lorenzen (oblique) allowed four runs on four hits and three walks over three innings Tuesday with Double-A Northwest Arkansas. He struck out five.

Lorenzen struggled in his first rehab outing Tuesday, surrendering two home runs -- including one to top prospect Walker Jenkins -- as he works his way back from a left oblique strain. Prior to the injury, the veteran had been serviceable but unspectacular, compiling a 4.61 ERA and 1.30 WHIP across 99.2 innings in 18 starts. The Royals' rotation remains unsettled with Kris Bubic (shoulder) out for the year and Cole Ragans (shoulder) also sidelined, leading to the recent additions of Bailey Falter and Ryan Bergert, both of whom have already made their team debuts. Lorenzen's role once he's fully healthy will be an interesting storyline to track.

Martin is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

Alan Roden will enter the lineup in center field in place of Martin, who went 1-for-13 with a run scored and a stolen base while starting in each of the last three contests. Martin and Roden will likely share center field until Byron Buxton (rib) returns from the injured list, at which point the two may then vie for playing time at corner-outfield spot while Trevor Larnach or Matt Wallner see more opportunities at designated hitter.

Julien is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Detroit.

After getting recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Julien started at second base in four straight games and went 2-for-12 with a double and a walk during that stretch. However, with the Twins bringing Luke Keaschall back from the injured list Tuesday, the left-handed-hitting Julien appears to have since faded into a reserve role. Julien will cede second base to Keaschall for a second straight day to close out the series with the Tigers, who have sent right-handed starters to the hill for both of those contests.

Kjerstad is on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Norfolk due to fatigue, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Kjerstad has not played since July 25 and is slashing only .149/.225/.248 in 26 games with Norfolk since being optioned in early June. Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino indicated that the team should have more information on Kjerstad's status later this week.

Double-A Chesapeake reinstated Pham (forearm) from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Pham will likely slot back into the Chesapeake rotation in the coming days after he completed a two-start rehab assignment and most recently tossed 3.1 scoreless innings for High-A Aberdeen on Saturday. The right-hander previously turned in a 3.42 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 35:9 K:BB across 23.2 innings in five appearances for Chesapeake before landing on the shelf in early May due to forearm inflammation.

O'Neill (wrist) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Philadelphia.

O'Neill was removed from Tuesday's 5-0 loss after jamming his right wrist against the outfield wall, so it's no surprise he's sitting out Wednesday's matinee. X-rays came back clean, but interim manager Tony Mansolino said that O'Neill will undergo an MRI during Thursday's team off day as the Orioles look to gain more information regarding the severity of the injury, per Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com. Jeremiah Jackson will handle right field Wednesday in place of O'Neill, who can be viewed as day-to-day heading into Baltimore's weekend series versus the Athletics.

Carpenter went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Twins.

Carpenter's RBI double in the third inning was a bit of good fortune, as Minnesota center fielder Austin Martin made a sliding attempt on the sinking line drive but had the ball glance off his glove. Instead of an error, it went down as Carpenter's 14th double of the season, and he now has six multi-hit performances over his last 10 games. During that span, the 27-year-old outfielder has a robust 1.630 OPS to go along with five home runs and 10 RBI.
