Rice went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Blue Jays.

After going hitless in his first four at-bats, Rice came through when it mattered most, launching a tie-breaking two-run homer in the 10th inning to produce what proved to be the winning runs. The blast was a welcome result for Rice, who entered Sunday mired in an awful August stretch, batting just .091 across 13 games. Despite the recent struggles, his 33 home runs rank third in the American League. On the season, Rice is slashing .251/.344/.533 with 20 doubles, three triples, 78 RBI, 76 runs scored and three steals across 509 plate appearances.

Vargas went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 7-5 win over the Tigers.

Vargas extended Chicago's late lead by launching a solo homer in the ninth inning, giving him 28 long balls on the season. The infielder has caught fire at the plate, going 7-for-22 (.318) with four home runs and two doubles over his last five games. Through 121 contests this season, Vargas owns a .239 average and .835 OPS with 28 homers, 28 doubles, one triple, 72 RBI, 83 runs scored and 12 stolen bases.

Murakami went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-5 win over the Tigers.

Murakami broke a 4-4 tie in the seventh inning by taking Tyler Holton deep for a two-run homer, giving Chicago a lead it wouldn't relinquish. The slugger has now launched eight home runs over his last 20 games, driving in 15 runs during that stretch, and is up to 28 long balls on the season. Murakami owns a .235 average with an impressive .911 OPS across 88 games this season, though his massive power continues to come with swing-and-miss concerns, highlighted by a 33.4 percent strikeout rate.

Pena went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Mariners.

Pena got the Astros on the board in the fourth inning with a solo shot off Bryan Woo, his 14th homer of the year, to cut the deficit to 2-1. While Pena now has three extra-base hits in his last four games, he's cooled off significantly at the plate, going just 4-for-43 (.093) across 10 contests prior to Sunday after going 27-for-64 (.422) with seven homers in his previous 15 games. Overall, Pena is now slashing .288/.343/.477 with 59 runs scored, 40 RBI and eight stolen bases across 335 plate appearances this season.

Raleigh went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 3-2 win over Houston.

Raleigh took advantage of Daikin Park's hitter-friendly dimensions by lifting a 327-foot solo homer into the left-field Crawford Boxes in the sixth inning. It marked the catcher's second homer of August, a month in which he's slashing just .114/.250/.250 through 13 contests. It's been a deeply disappointing 2026 for the 29-year-old, as Raleigh has mustered just a .158/.268/.300 slash line with 13 homers, 44 RBI, 27 runs and two stolen bases across 91 games after launching 60 long balls during the 2025 regular season.

Arozarena went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and was caught stealing in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Astros.

Arozarena turned on an elevated fastball and launched a solo homer into the Crawford Boxes in left field, giving the Mariners a 1-0 advantage in the first inning. The left fielder has had his power stroke on display of late, clubbing three homers and two doubles across his past six games. Overall, the 31-year-old is hitting .276/.369/.459 with 17 homers, 53 RBI, 78 runs and 20 stolen bases in 117 contests.

Munoz picked up the save Sunday against the Astros. He allowed no hits and a walk while striking out two over a scoreless inning.

Munoz issued a one-out walk but was otherwise able to stifle the Astros' offense in the ninth inning to secure a road win for the Mariners. It was a much-needed positive outing for the right-hander, who imploded for five runs (four earned) in the 10th inning of Friday's loss. Overall, it's been a down year for Munoz, who owns a 4.37 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 72:18 K:BB across 45.1 innings while converting 22 of 29 save opportunities.

Brown (3-3) took the loss Sunday, allowing two runs on three hits and five walks over five innings in a 3-2 loss to the Mariners. He struck out five.

After giving up a solo homer to Randy Arozarena in the first inning, Brown generally limited the damage but struggled with his control, issuing five walks. The right-hander hadn't experienced notable control issues in previous seasons, but he's now allowed four-plus walks in four of his past eight outings and is sporting an overall 5.2 BB/9. In total, Brown owns a 3.67 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 72:40 K:BB across 68.2 innings (13 starts) and is tentatively scheduled to pitch Saturday against the Athletics.

Newcomb recorded his fourth save of the season Sunday against the Tigers, striking out two and walking one over 2.1 scoreless innings.

Newcomb entered with two outs and a one-run lead in the seventh after Huascar Brazoban had already allowed a run in the frame. With Grant Taylor, Jordan Hicks and Bryan Hudson all having pitched the night before, Newcomb was asked to finish the game and did so with ease, allowing only a walk across the eight batters he faced. He secured his fourth save of the season and extended his streak to 10.1 innings without allowing an earned run. Newcomb owns a 2.51 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 64:25 K:BB across 68 innings this season while adding 10 holds.

Witt went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Angels.

Witt's lone hit was a loud one, as he launched a solo homer into the left-field seats to extend the Royals' lead to 2-0 in the fifth inning. Since returning from a stint on the injured list due to lower-back tightness, the star shortstop has slashed .304/.385/.435 with a homer, four RBI, 12 runs and two stolen bases across 12 contests. In total, Witt is hitting .282/.354/.448 with 14 homers, 43 RBI, 63 runs and 32 stolen bases in 106 games.
