The Rangers designated Paddack for assignment Tuesday.

It appears Paddack's stint with the Rangers will end after just one day. He was signed to a major-league contract Monday before giving up two runs over four innings in a bulk-relief appearance versus the Guardians. Paddack is a safe bet to pass through waivers and elect free agency.

Buxton (hip) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

It's the second straight absence from the lineup for Buxton, who is considered day-to-day after an MRI revealed a right hip impingement. The center fielder appears to have avoided a serious injury, though it wouldn't be surprising if the Twins also hold him out for Wednesday's series finale in Houston since the club has a team day off Thursday.

Miles could serve as the Blue Jays' primary pitcher in Wednesday's game against the Mets, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Patrick Corbin had previously been listed as the scheduled starter, but he's been moved to the bullpen. Miles' last six appearances have come as a traditional reliever, but he's made a handful of traditional starts or bulk-relief appearances this season and could get stretched back out. The 25-year-old holds a 3.00 ERA and 50:16 K:BB over 51 innings for Toronto.

Corbin has been moved to the Blue Jays' bullpen, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Corbin had previously been listed as Toronto's starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Mets. While he could still pitch that day, if he does it will be out of the bullpen. Corbin holds an 8.69 ERA and 16:10 K:BB over 19.2 innings covering five starts in June.

Manager Aaron Boone said Chisholm (head) has one remaining concussion test to pass before fully clearing the protocol, but the second baseman is expected to be available off the bench Tuesday against the Tigers, David Lennon of Newsday reports.

The second baseman was placed in concussion protocol after colliding with Jasson Dominguez in shallow right field Monday, but Chisholm expects to go through a normal pre-game workout and should be back in the lineup in short order.

The Astros recalled Delgado from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The 26-year-old was optioned to Sugar Land on Monday but will quickly return to the majors since Jeremy Pena (calf) landed on the injured list. Delgado received his first promotion to the majors in mid-June and is batting .280 (7-for-25) with a homer, four RBI and two runs in his first 13 games.

Wade (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Wade is ready for game action after missing the past three weeks due to a right hamstring strain. He shouldn't need an extended rehab assignment before rejoining the Astros' active roster, perhaps as soon as Friday's series opener against the Rays.

The Astros placed Pena on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to a mild left calf strain, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Pena was held out of Monday's lineup due to leg discomfort, and manager Joe Espada said after the game that the shortstop would require an IL stint. Espada expressed optimism that it can be a minimum-length stay on the injured list, which would result in Pena rejoining the active roster July 10.

The Orioles are awaiting MRI results on Akin's left elbow, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Akin was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday with left elbow discomfort, and he was sent for imaging to make sure he's not dealing with something more serious. The Orioles should have more on the lefty's condition later this week.

Caglianone (groin) will start at designated hitter and bat third in Tuesday's game versus the Rays.

Caglianone had to be scratched from Sunday's lineup due to left groin soreness, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go in Tuesday's series opener following the Royals' team off day Monday. The 23-year-old enters play Tuesday having gone just 1-for-15 with eight strikeouts over his last four contests.
