The Yankees reinstated Wells (headaches) from the 10-day injured list Sunday.

Wells will make his return following a two-week stint on the shelf due to cervical headaches. He completed a three-game rehab assignment at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre earlier in the week, during which he went 2-for-12 with a pair of home runs and two walks. The Yankees optioned J.C. Escarra to Triple-A on Saturday to open up a spot on the active roster for Wells, who will reclaim his gig as the team's No. 1 catcher.

Outman went 2-for-2 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-1 win over the White Sox.

He came on as a defensive replacement after Jahmai Jones pinch hit for Kerry Carpenter in the fourth inning. Outman recorded his first multi-hit effort since joining the Tigers about 10 days ago as well as his first stolen base. The 29-year-old is seeing some run for the team, though he hasn't established a regular starting role and is still mostly off the fantasy radar due to his .173/.244/.293 slash line this season.

Rojas (triceps) yielded five earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out one batter across 1.1 innings of relief in a rehab appearance Thursday with Triple-A St. Paul.

Rojas made his first appearance in just over three weeks, after the Twins placed him on the 15-day injured list May 29 due to left triceps inflammation. Though the 23-year-old made one start and covered three-plus innings in three of his five appearances with the Twins prior to landing on the shelf, his usage Thursday suggests that Minnesota intends to bring him back in a bullpen role.

Holton tossed two scoreless innings of relief to earn a hold in Saturday's 4-1 win over the White Sox. He allowed two hits ans struck out two.

The southpaw was an effective bridge between starter Troy Melton, who allowed just one run across six solid innings, and closer Kenley Jansen. Holton lowered his ERA to 3.60 and earned his seventh hold of the season, which is tied for second on the team behind Kyle Finnegan's nine. Like he's done the past three years, Holton has been a trusted reliever for the Tigers who's capable of providing multiple innings.

Volpe went 1-for-3 with with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's loss to the Reds.

Volpe was one of only three Yankees to reach base multiple times. The young shortstop extended his hitting streak to eight games, during which he is slashing .478/.571/.652 with five RBI, six runs, a steal and a 5:3 BB:K. Volpe has played only 27 games so far this season, but his 14.9 percent walk rate and 19.8 percent strikeout rate are significant improvements over the 7.4 percent and 25.2 percent marks he logged across 596 regular-season plate appearances last year.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Saturday in a loss to Cincinnati.

Goldschmidt logged New York's only extra-base hit by taking Andrew Abbott deep in the first inning. The veteran first baseman continues to roll, as the long ball was his fourth over his past seven games. Since May 25, Goldschmidt has posted an impressive .326/.350/.579 slash line with seven home runs and 23 RBI over 22 contests, pushing his season OPS up to .901.

Caratini went 3-for-5 with a double, a walk, three RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's 16-8 win over the Diamondbacks.

Caratini has gone 8-for-14 with four walks, two homers and six RBI over his last four games. The catcher is making the most of his playing time in the absence of Ryan Jeffers (hand), who is unlikely to be back before the end of the month. Caratini is batting .241 on the season, adding a .700 OPS, five homers, 29 RBI, 17 runs scored and six doubles over 56 contests.

Keaschall went 3-for-6 with three runs scored in Saturday's 16-8 win over the Diamondbacks.

Keaschall was limited to singles in this contest, but he was one of four Twins to log at least three hits. The second baseman has gone 14-for-38 (.368) over his last 11 contests, though just three of those hits have gone for extra bases. On the year, he's batting .259 with a .677 OPS, two home runs, 24 RBI, 38 runs scored, 12 doubles, one triple and 11 stolen bases over 72 contests.

Kreidler went 3-for-4 with a triple, a walk, four RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 16-8 win over the Diamondbacks.

Kreidler had a big performance from the bottom of the lineup. The utility man has had trouble getting into the lineup lately, starting just three of the last eight games, but he's hitting .296 (8-for-27) in June with four extra-base hits and nine RBI over 16 contests. Overall, he's batting .270 with an .892 OPS, four home runs, two triples, three doubles, 18 RBI and 15 runs scored across 85 plate appearances. Kreidler isn't being strictly platooned, but he's more likely to get into the lineup versus southpaws.

Lee went 4-for-6 with a triple, a double, two RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's 16-8 win over the Diamondbacks.

Lee has collected four extra-base hits over his last four games. He led the charge with four of the Twins' hits Saturday, making him one of six Minnesota batters to log multiple hits in the contest. The infielder is batting .245 with a .736 OPS, 12 home runs, 44 RBI, 36 runs scored, 11 doubles, two triples and three stolen bases over 74 contests this season. Even with the big effort Saturday, Lee is hitting just .217 in June.
