Vierling was removed from Wednesday's contest versus the Orioles with an undisclosed injury, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Vierling came up gimpy while legging out a triple in the fifth inning and was removed for a pinch runner. The Tigers should have more on his condition shortly. Vierling contributed a double and a triple in his two plate appearances before exiting.

Garcia (hand) went 0-for-3 with Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Tuesday.

Garcia logged five innings at third base but went hitless to begin his rehab assignment, as he works his way back from a muscle strain in his left hand that has kept him sidelined since June 22. The 26-year-old likely won't need an extended rehab assignment before rejoining the big-league club, though it's unclear how many minor-league games he'll require before being activated from the injured list. Garcia is slated to serve as the designated hitter for Wednesday's contest, per Anne Rogers of MLB.com. He's slashing .261/.320/.373 with three homers, 30 RBI, 32 runs and five stolen bases across 69 games.

Outman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

Though he'll exit the lineup Wednesday while southpaw Trevor Rogers starts for the Orioles, Outman looks to be headed for a steep reduction in playing time versus righties, too. He headed to the bench Tuesday while righty Dean Kremer was on the bump for Baltimore, as Javier Baez picked up the start in center field in his return from the 60-day injured list. Baez figures to be prioritized in center field over Outman, who has a lowly .167/.211/.322 slash line over 34 games with Detroit, and top prospect Max Clark could enter the picture before the end of the year as well.

Keith is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

The left-handed-hitting Keith had started in each of the Tigers' last seven games, but he'll retreat to the bench Wednesday while southpaw Trevor Rogers takes the mound for the Orioles. Hao-Yu Lee will step in at third base for Keith and will bat third.

McKinstry is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

The Tigers will send the left-handed-hitting McKinstry to the bench while southpaw Trevor Rogers takes the hill for the Orioles in the series finale. Matt Vierling will draw the start in right field in McKinstry's stead and will bat eighth.

Dominguez went 2-for-3 with a run and a stolen base in a 3-2 win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Dominguez was the only Yankee to collect multiple hits in a game during which the team as a whole compiled just six knocks. It was the second straight two-hit performance for the young outfielder following an 11-game stretch without any multi-hit efforts. Dominguez continues to slot in regularly in right field for New York, but he's posted a modest .646 OPS with one homer, three RBI, seven runs and a 1:9 BB:K over 11 games since the All-Star break.

Mears (shoulder/lat) began throwing from 60 feet Monday, MLB.com reports.

Mears has been sidelined since May 29 due to a right shoulder impingement and has dealt with multiple setbacks in his recovery, including a July 10 scan that revealed a right lat strain. Resuming throwing is a positive step, though the right-hander still has many boxes to check before a return from the injured list becomes a realistic possibility. Prior to hitting the shelf, Mears posted a 5.12 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 15:11 K:BB across 19.1 innings.

Witt (back) has begun ramping up his baseball activity, and how he responds over the next few days will determine whether he's activated from the injured list when first eligible Friday, per MLB.com.

Witt landed on the injured list for the first time in his big-league career July 22 due to tightness in his lower back. Early indications suggested there wasn't any cause for concern over a long-term absence, and the star shortstop remains on track to avoid a lengthy stay on the IL if he responds well to the increase in his baseball activity. In 94 games this season, Witt is slashing .279/.350/.450 with 13 homers, 39 RBI, 51 runs and 30 stolen bases.

High-A Vancouver placed Shaw on the 7-day injured list July 9 due to an unspecified injury.

Shaw didn't debut for Vancouver until June 7, after he opened the season on the 60-day injured list while recovering from a blood clot near his shoulder, which stemmed from thoracic outlet syndrome, per Steve Ewen of The Vancouver Province. The Blue Jays haven't revealed if Shaw's latest move to the IL is related to the blood clot or the result of a different injury. Shaw had fared well over about a month's worth of action at Vancouver, slashing .239/.427/.535 with six home runs and three stolen bases in 21 games.

White went 4-for-4 with two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Red Sox.

White was a hit machine, collecting four singles for the second time since being called up July 17. Through 10 games, the 23-year-old is slashing .359/.390/.410 in 41 plate appearances but has yet to record his first big-league RBI. With Zack Gelof (knee) and Joshua Kuroda-Grauer (groin) on the injured list, White appears to have a firm grip on a regular role at the hot corner.
