Volpe is starting at second base and batting ninth in Thursday's game versus the Rockies.

Volpe was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre earlier in the day to take the roster spot vacated by Jazz Chisholm (thumb), and he will get the first opportunity to fill in at the keystone. It will be Volpe's first time playing second base at the major-league level, as he began seeing his first reps at the position in August at Triple-A.

Judge is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Rockies.

Judge was pulled after six innings in his first game off the injured list Tuesday and in the eighth inning of his second game back Wednesday. He'll now sit out the series finale versus the Rockies as the Yankees ease him back into a full-time role. Jasson Dominguez will be in right field and bat third for the Bronx Bombers.

Bellinger went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 6-1 win over Colorado on Wednesday.

Bellinger capped the scoring in the contest with a solo shot to right field in the eighth inning. Since returning to action Aug. 23 following a nearly month-long stay on the injured list, Bellinger has hit safely in 13 of 16 games, posting a .288/.294/.409 slash line with two homers, 13 runs and 10 RBI during that span. The veteran outfielder has experienced a drop-off in power this year, however, as he's slugged just 13 homers through 118 contests after going deep 29 times across 152 regular-season games last year.

Siri went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-4 win over the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Siri hit one of three Angels long balls Wednesday, belting a two-run shot to right-center field in the third inning. That snapped a 27-game homerless stretch for the veteran outfielder, who batted a meager .113 with an ugly 40.3 percent strikeout rate during the power drought. Siri seems to be in a platoon in right field at the moment, as he's started each of Los Angeles' past two contests against lefty starters while sitting in each of the team's past two games against righties.

Martinez took a no-decision Thursday against Atlanta, allowing two hits and no walks in 6.1 scoreless innings. He struck out three.

Martinez was in cruise control, firing 53 of his 68 pitches for strikes and scattering two singles over 6.1 shutout frames. The right-hander extended his streak of quality starts to four, but it's worth noting he saw his second-lowest workload of 2026 on Thursday as the Rays prepare for the postseason. He'll take a career-best 2.92 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 98:24 K:BB over 166.1 innings into his next scheduled appearance in pitcher-friendly Tampa Bay versus the lowly Athletics.

Guzman went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored Wednesday in a 6-4 victory over Boston.

Guzman entered the contest in the midst of a rough patch that included a .145 batting average and a 34.5 percent strikeout rate over his past 19 games. The 22-year-old infielder broke out of that slump with his first multi-hit game since Aug. 13 and his first long ball since Aug. 20. Guzman has started just three times in the Angels' past seven games, so he's not an appealing fantasy asset at the moment given his lack of consistent playing time and his recent cold stretch.

Diaz is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Seattle.

The Rangers have alternated starts at catcher over their last six games, and it's Diaz's turn to sit out. Danny Jansen will be behind the dish in Thursday's rubber match.

Freeman is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Seattle.

After making 17 consecutive starts, Freeman has now been out of the Rangers' lineup for two of three games this series. Freeman is just 3-for-21 at the plate thus far in September. The Rangers will go with Ezequiel Duran at third base and Nicky Lopez at second base.

Walters underwent a right elbow UCL repair with an internal brace Wednesday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Walters had right lat surgery last June, and he is now slated for another extended rehab that will rule him out until the 2028 season. The right-hander was limited to only 14 appearances in 2025 and another 14 in 2026 due to injuries.

The Yankees recalled Volpe from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.

Volpe has managed just a .240/.325/.322 batting line in the majors this season. He was on a heater at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, however, slashing .292/.390/.660 with 10 home runs and eight stolen bases in 28 games since being demoted. Manager Aaron Boone could choose to ride the hot hand and play Volpe at second base while Jazz Chisholm (thumb) is out, though super utility player Jose Caballero will also be in the mix.
