Montero (2-4) took the loss Saturday as the Tigers fell 4-0 to the Mariners, giving up four runs on six hits and and a walk over five innings. He struck out one.

Half the hits off the right-hander went for extra bases, including a solo homer by Dominic Canzone in the fourth inning. Montero has been tagged for four runs in three of his last five outings, a stretch in which he's stumbled to a 5.13 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 15:8 K:BB in 26.1 innings. With Tarik Skubal (elbow), Justin Verlander (hip) and Casey Mize (thigh) all closing in on returns from the IL in the next couple weeks, Montero's time in the Detroit rotation could be coming to an end very soon.

Canzone went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Tigers.

After just missing a homer to straightaway center field in the second inning and settling for an RBI double, Canzone got hold of a Keider Montero fastball to lead off the fourth and crushed it 451 feet. It was Canzone's third homer and his fourth multi-hit performance in the last seven games, a surge that has pushed his slash line on the year to .275/.342/.529 with eight long balls, 21 runs and 25 RBI in 56 contests.

Miller (2-0) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one hit and two walks over six scoreless innings in a 4-0 victory over the Tigers. He struck out nine.

No longer working in tandem with Luis Castillo, Miller completed six innings for the first time in five starts since coming off the IL while setting a season high in strikeouts. The right-hander has been outstanding since making his belated 2026 debut in mid-May, posting a 1.33 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 29:5 K:BB through 27 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next week in Baltimore.

Salazar cleared waivers and received an outright assignment to Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Salazar was designated for assignment Thursday but will stay in the Astros' organization with Sugar Land. The 30-year-old could be recalled to the big leagues if Christian Vazquez or Collin Price is sidelined.

Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

Alonso cut a 6-1 deficit in half with a 421-foot blast in the sixth inning. It extended his hitting streak to 10 games, a stretch that includes three homers, seven RBI and eight runs scored. On the year, the slugger is slashing .246/.325/.452 with 13 long balls, 40 RBI, 38 runs scored and two steals across 280 plate appearances.

The Angels selected Campero's contract from Double-A Rocket City and placed him on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to a fractured hand.

Campero was hit by a pitch and suffered a fracture on his hand in Rocket City' game against Montgomery on Sunday, so he'll have to wait to make his 2026 big-league debut. Campero slashed .287/.375/.455 with six home runs and 27 RBI in 167 plate appearances at the Double-A level, and he's taking the 40-man roster spot of Omar Martinez, who was designated for assignment Saturday.

Burke (3-3) earned the win against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits and five walks with seven strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

Burke was actually the only White Sox pitcher to allow a run on Saturday, but he was spotted an early lead and did enough to earn the win in bulk relief. The 26-year-old issued a season-high five walks and allowed two homers, but he has now tallied at least five strikeouts in five straight outings. He'll carry a 3.88 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 67:23 K:BB across 69.2 innings into a tough home matchup against the Dodgers next weekend.

The Angels placed Soler (oblique) on the 10-day injured list Saturday (retroactive to June 4).

Soler was scratched on Friday due to a hip issue, but he will now hit the injured list due to a left oblique strain. The 34-year-old slugger has .220/.300/.402 with nine homers and 33 RBI through 243 plate appearances this season. Soler's placement on the IL coincides with the activation of Nolan Schanuel, who logged a minimum IL stint due to an ankle injury.

Bradish (3-7) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Saturday, allowing five runs on nine hits and three walks with three strikeouts over four innings.

Bradish was mostly done in by a four-run third inning, though he allowed at least one baserunner in every frame before departing at 81 pitches. It was the 29-year-old's shortest outing since another five-run loss May 2, snapping a five-start stretch in which he had surrendered just six earned runs overall. He'll take a 3.89 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 68:36 K:BB across 69.1 innings into a home matchup against the Mariners next week.

The Angels activated Schanuel (ankle) from the 10-day injured list Saturday.

Schanuel missed the minimum 10 days after landing on the IL on May 27 due to left ankle tendinitis. The 24-year-old is back in the starting lineup Saturday, batting fifth and starting at first base. Schanuel has slashed .262/.313/.387 with four home runs and 24 RBI across 208 plate appearances this season.
