Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Yankees' Ryan McMahon: Hitting bench against southpaw
McMahon is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.
Lefty Patrick Corbin is starting the game for Toronto, so the left-handed-hitting McMahon will bow out of the lineup as Amed Rosario receives the nod at third base. McMahon has gone 0-for-23 over his last six starts, bringing his batting average down to .183 on the season.

Roman Anthony OF | BOS
Red Sox's Roman Anthony: Still sore when swinging bat
Anthony (wrist) was still sore when taking some swings Monday and will not swing a bat again until at least Friday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
The Red Sox had been hopeful that Anthony could take a big step forward with the resumption of a hitting progression Monday, but instead the team is forced to pump the brakes on his rehab. Until Anthony is able to ramp up his swinging without issue, there will not be a timetable for his return to action. He's been sidelined since early May.

Steven Matz SP | TB
Rays' Steven Matz: Cleared to return Wednesday
Matz (elbow) will return from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Matz came out of a bullpen session Sunday with no concerns, clearing the path for his return. The veteran southpaw didn't make any rehab starts while he was on the shelf, but since he was on the IL for the minimum amount of time, he may have only a light workload restriction in his return to action Wednesday. Matz posted a 3.86 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 28:13 K:BB over 37.1 innings covering his first seven starts for the Rays before going down with left elbow inflammation.

Cody Bolton RP | HOU
Astros' Cody Bolton: DFA'd by Astros
The Astros designated Bolton for assignment Monday.
Bolton has collected a 5.40 ERA and 22:14 K:BB over three starts and five relief appearances for Houston this season. The 27-year-old has a chance to pass through waivers unclaimed, and if that happens, he'd likely stick around as depth at Triple-A Sugar Land.
