Doyle isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against San Diego.

Doyle has tallied a base hit in each of Colorado's last three games, but the Rockies will keep him on the bench Saturday in favor of Jake McCarthy, who will bat ninth while starting in center field.

Castro isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Padres.

Castro will get a chance to recollect himself Saturday after going 1-for-9 with a run scored and six strikeouts over the first two games of the series. While he sits, Edouard Julien will pick up a start at second base.

Rumfield isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against San Diego.

Rumfield will grab a seat on the bench after going 1-for-9 with three strikeouts across the first two games of the series. Troy Johnston will move to first base to cover for Rumfield while Jordan Beck, Jake McCarthy and Mickey Moniak start in the outfield.

Goodman (finger) will serve as Colorado's designated hitter and bat fourth against the Padres on Saturday.

Goodman didn't start Friday's contest due to a cut on his finger, but he made a pinch-hit appearance in the eighth inning that resulted in an RBI single and eventually came around to score. He'll return to the lineup Saturday as a DH, keeping Brett Sullivan behind the plate. Goodman is slashing .255/.340/.404 with two homers, five RBI and 10 runs scored through his first 14 games of 2026.

Naughton was diagnosed Saturday with UCL damage to his left elbow after undergoing an MRI, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

The 29-year-old lefty suffered the elbow injury during his most recent appearance with Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday. Naughton will seek a second opinion before determining his next steps, but he could be facing another elbow surgery after missing most of 2024 and all of 2025 due to a pair of elbow procedures.

Bogaerts isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Colorado.

Bogaerts' 0-for-4 performance in Friday's game snapped what had been a five-game hitting streak, during which he went 9-for-22 (.409) with a pair of homers, five RBI and four runs scored. In his absence, Jake Cronenworth will start at shortstop while Fernando Tatis makes his first career start at second base and Nick Castellanos covers right field.

Manager Walt Weiss said Saturday that White is dealing with plantar fasciitis, Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.

White would have been the favorite to start in center field while Michael Harris is away on paternity leave, but the former's injury will give Mauricio Dubon a start in the outfield Saturday. Atlanta has officially labeled White as day-to-day, so a trip to the IL doesn't appear to be on the horizon for the 31-year-old.

Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said that Strider (oblique) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment Thursday, Barrett Sallee of 680 The Fan Atlanta reports.

Strider was placed on the injured list shortly before Opening Day due to an oblique strain he suffered near the end of spring training. After throwing a live batting practice session Saturday without issue, Strider has now received the green light to begin pitching in minor-league games. Atlanta's goal is to have Strider throw roughly 40-to-45 pitches during his first rehab outing and build him up his count over multiple starts before returning from the IL, likely in late April or early May.

Manager Torey Lovullo said Saturday that Moreno (back) will be placed on the injured list, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

The Diamondbacks sent Moreno in for an MRI on his back Saturday, and although the results are unknown, the team has already decided to place him on the IL. Lovullo added that Moreno isn't facing an extended absence, so the 26-year-old could return to the active roster after the minimum 10 days. James McCann figures to take over as Arizona's primary backstop while Moreno is sidelined.

Encarnacion isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Encarnacion will sit for the second day in a row after going 5-for-18 (.278) across his last six games. Casey Schmitt will work as San Francisco's designated hitter and bat fifth while Encarnacion sits.
