Roupp (8-13) completed five innings Thursday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out three batters to earn the win against the Diamondbacks.

Roupp served up a fourth-inning solo homer to Gabriel Moreno, but that was the only time the Diamondbacks were able to score against him. The right-handed hurler did have to work to cover five frames -- he threw a total of 95 pitches (60 strikes) -- but he lasted just long enough to snap a streak of five straight losses. Roupp has had an underwhelming season with a 4.25 ERA and 1.31 WHIP, but he leads San Francisco starters with an 8.6 K/9 over a team-high 26 starts.

Baldwin went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday in a 1-0 win against the Dodgers.

Baldwin slugged Yoshinobu Yamamoto's first pitch of the contest over the right-field wall to give Atlanta a quick lead. That ended up being the only run scored by either team, as Yamamoto and Chris Sale squared off in a pitchers' duel. Baldwin extended his on-base streak to a modest five games with the homer, and over that stretch he's reached base in 10 of 21 plate appearances. However, his power has been mostly absent of late -- prior to Thursday, he had gone deep just once over his previous 30 contests.

Yamamoto (12-8) took the loss against Atlanta on Thursday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over 6.1 innings.

Yamamoto's first pitch of the game was hit over the right-field wall by Drake Baldwin for a quick Atlanta lead. After that, Yamamoto was outstanding, allowing only four more baserunners and no more runs during his time in the contest. However, opposing starter Chris Sale throttled the Dodgers in a complete-game shutout to hand Yamamoto the loss. Despite the defeat, the reigning World Series MVP was mostly dominant, matching Sale with 20 whiffs while notching his third consecutive quality start. Yamamoto has been one of MLB's top pitchers again this season, ranking seventh among qualified hurlers with a 2.56 ERA and second with a 0.89 WHIP while posting a 153:36 K:BB over 158 innings spanning 24 starts.

Sale (13-9) earned the win over the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing five hits and striking out 11 batters without issuing any walks over nine scoreless innings.

Sale was magnificent against the defending champions, racking up 20 whiffs while throwing 80 of 109 pitches for strikes. The veteran left-hander logged his first complete game and first shutout since 2019, and it was also just the ninth complete-game shutout by an MLB pitcher this season. Sale entered the contest on a three-game losing streak despite tossing three quality starts during that span, so he took matters in his own hands and got back into the win column even with just one run of support from Atlanta's offense. He's been one of the top hurlers in baseball during his 16th big-league campaign, ranking second among qualified starters with a 2.06 ERA, sixth with a 1.00 WHIP and seventh with 177 strikeouts over 144 innings spanning 24 starts.

Chourio went 4-for-5 with a pair of two-run home runs, a stolen base and two additional runs scored in Thursday's 8-2 win over the Mets.

It was perhaps a season-best performance by Chourio, who delivered his third multi-homer game of the year and matched a season high in RBI. Additionally, the four-hit effort was his third of 2026. The dynamic outfielder is slashing a healthy .283/.345/.477 with 19 long balls, 54 RBI, 14 stolen bases and 68 runs scored over 447 plate appearances.

Manaea (4-6) took the loss against the Brewers on Thursday, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk in 5.2 innings. He struck out three.

Manaea was working with a slippery mound at rainy Citi Field on Thursday, failing to work at least six innings for the first time in his last seven starts. The left-hander coughed up six runs -- tying a season high -- and even gave up a season-worst eight knocks, including three extra-base hits. He'll look to bounce back in his next scheduled appearance against the Rays in pitcher-friendly Tampa Bay, where Manaea will carry a 4.55 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 120:40 K:BB over 122.2 innings.

Misiorowski (14-5) notched the win against the Mets on Thursday, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out six.

Misiorowski battled a slick mound at times at wet Citi Field on Thursday, but the rainy conditions didn't stop him from firing six strong innings. The All-Star right-hander extended his streak of quality starts to five, and he's now fanned at least six in all but one of his 25 outings on the year. He's set to take an outstanding 1.73 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 222:35 K:BB over 151 innings into a tough road assignment against the division-rival Cubs.

Arenado is dealing with right thumb inflammation, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Arenado was a late scratch from Thursday's lineup versus San Francisco, and there was some speculation that it was due to his previous left side injury. The third baseman instead has a new injury altogether, and he can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Arenado (undisclosed) was scratched from Thursday's lineup against the Giants, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Arenado was set to start at third base and bat sixth in the series opener, but he will now be forced to sit. The 35-year-old was dealing with a left side/intercostal injury last week, and it is unclear if Thursday's absence is related to that injury or potentially something new. More information on Arenado's status will likely be provided in the near future, but in the meantime, Jose Fernandez will draw the start at the hot corner versus San Francisco.

Wrobleski (forearm) is expected to join Triple-A Oklahoma City to begin a minor-league rehab assignment this weekend, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Wrobleski had a throwing session Wednesday, and he appears to have avoided any setbacks in his recovery from left forearm inflammation. The southpaw was placed on the 15-day injured list Aug. 16, and it's possible that he will require only one outing with Oklahoma City before returning to the major-league roster. Wrobleski is eligible to be activated from the IL on Tuesday, and upon his activation, he's expected to operate out of the bullpen moving forward this season for Los Angeles.
