Pratt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Pratt will get a breather in the Brewers' final game before the All-Star break, after he had started seven straight contests, including both ends of Saturday's doubleheader. With Pratt idle, the Brewers will shift Joey Ortiz to shortstop and open up third base for the newly acquired Braden Shewmake, who will be making his team debut.

Contreras is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Even though he was rested for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, Contreras will get another breather Sunday in the Brewers' final game before the All-Star break. Gary Sanchez will step in behind the dish as a replacement for Contreras, who will make his third appearance in the Midsummer Classic on Tuesday in Philadelphia after slashing .282/.344/.398 with nine home runs, one stolen base, 53 RBI and 48 runs in 89 first-half games.

Callihan is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

The left-handed hitter will hit the bench for the second time in the series while the Brewers face off against another lefty starter in Robert Gasser. Since blasting two home runs in a June 10 game against the Dodgers, Callihan has left the yard just once in his subsequent 24 contests, and he's slashing an underwhelming .231/.282/.354 during that stretch. He could soon find himself as the odd man out of the lineup against right-handed pitching after the Pirates completed a trade earlier in the weekend for another left-handed bat in Jacob Gonzalez, who may be in store for playing time at first base while Spencer Horwitz (hamstring) remains on the injured list.

The Brewers reinstated Crow (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Nashville.

Milwaukee placed Crow on the shelf June 12 due to a mild flexor strain, but he's healthy again after he was able to complete two rehab starts with Nashville earlier this month. With no room for him in the big-league rotation at the moment, the 25-year-old righty will stick around at Triple-A and is expected to continue making regular starts for Nashville.

The Brewers transferred Woodruff (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

The veteran right-hander was diagnosed with an injury to his right anterior shoulder capsule after landing on the IL last weekend, and it's not a major surprise the injury will keep him sidelined for at least two months. Woodruff is without an official timeline for his return after a recent meeting with Dr. Keith Meister for a second opinion on his shoulder, but the Brewers could have a clearer idea on his prognosis following the All-Star break, per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He's been effective when available this season with a 2.98 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 47:10 K:BB across 45.1 innings, but the recurrent shoulder issues remain a major hurdle that Woodruff has struggled to fully overcome.

The Brewers designated Jones for assignment Sunday.

Milwaukee dropped Jones from its 40-man roster to clear a spot for another utility player in Braden Shewmake, whom the team acquired in a trade with the Astros. Jones has had two stints with the big club this season, going just 2-for-23 with a 0:10 BB:K over 12 games.

Moniak went 2-for-4 on Saturday against the Giants.

Moniak was the only Rockie to reach base multiple times, and he tallied his fifth multi-hit effort across his last eight starts. He's also hitting .406 with six RBI, seven runs scored and two home runs across 10 appearances since the start of July, helping him build upon his breakout 2025 season. Moniak is pacing for a career-high home run total despite missing a month with an ankle injury, and he's also maintained a .283 batting average across 223 plate appearances.

The Brewers acquired Shewmake from the Astros on Sunday in exchange for cash.

After Houston designated Shewmake for assignment Friday, the Brewers acted quickly to execute a trade for the utility infielder rather than allowing him to reach waivers first. Milwaukee designated Greg Jones for assignment to clear room on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster for Shewmake, who produced a .256/.272/.423 slash line with three home runs and nine RBI across 83 plate appearances with Houston this season. Though Shewmake projects to serve as a backup at three different infield spots, the Brewers will include him in the lineup for Sunday's series finale in Pittsburgh. He'll start at third base and bat ninth while Cooper Pratt receives a breather.

Reynolds went 2-for-6 with a walk, a double, an RBI and two runs scored across both games of Saturday's doubleheader against the Brewers.

Reynolds was overshadowed by Esmerlyn Valdez's three-homer day, but he delivered the game-winning RBI in the sixth inning in the second game of the doubleheader. Reynolds will head into the All-Star break having gone 11-for-39 with three homers, six RBI and nine runs scored across 10 games in July.

Montgomery walked one and struck out two across one inning to earn the save in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Brewers.

Gregory Soto earned the save in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, so he was unavailable for the latter contest. Montgomery filled the void, allowing only a leadoff walk before retiring the next three batters he faced. Montgomery has had an inconsistent season, though he has turned in six straight appearances without being charged with a run, compiling an 11:2 K:BB across 5.1 innings in that span.
