Hill went 1-for-2 with a pinch-hit solo home run in Monday's loss to the Astros.

The 29-year-old outfielder was activated from the IL earlier in the day after recovering from a finger injury, and he came off the bench to sock his third homer of the season in his 34th game. Hill's .639 OPS through 102 plate appearances is right in line with his career production, and with Jakob Marsee getting a long look in center field, there likely won't be consistent playing time available for Hill down the stretch.

The Brewers sent Miller (forearm) to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment.

The Brewers acquired Miller from the Diamondbacks at the trade deadline knowing he would still need some time to work his way back from a strained forearm. Miller has been out for nearly a month, so he'll probably need at least a couple rehab appearances before joining the Brewers bullpen. The righty delivered a 1.98 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 40:11 K:BB while notching 10 saves over 36.1 frames for Arizona before landing on the injured list July 7.

Profar went 1-for-2 with two walks and a solo home run in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Brewers.

Atlanta managed only three hits in total against Quinn Priester and the Milwaukee bullpen, but one of them was Profar's blast to lead off the bottom of the first inning. The veteran outfielder snapped an 18-game power drought in the process, and through 16 contests since the All-Star break, he's slashing .203/.346/.328 with two steals, four RBI and eight runs.

Lee went 1-for-4 with a two-run triple in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Pirates.

Lee lined a triple to right field in the fifth inning, driving in two runs to give the Giants a 4-1 lead. The 26-year-old outfielder has now recorded at least one hit in four straight appearances, including three doubles and Monday's three-bagger. He's been on a tear recently, slashing .378/.465/.568 with six extra-base hits, five RBI, four runs scored, two stolen bases and a 5:2 BB:K across 43 plate appearances during that span.

The Pirates are expected to call up Sanders from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Sanders made a mechanical adjustment while at Double-A Altoona and has taken off, compiling a 1.91 ERA and 51:20 K:BB over 42.1 frames between Altoona and Indianapolis. The 28-year-old reliever will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.

Seymour picked up a hold in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Pirates, allowing two earned runs on one home run and one walk while striking out two across two innings.

Seymour retired the side in order in the sixth inning, but he gave up a walk and a subsequent home run in the seventh. Still, the right-hander protected the lead and earned his first hold in five big-league appearances. During that span, he has allowed six earned runs -- including five homers -- on 13 hits and four walks while striking out 11 over 11 innings.

The Pirates are expected to option Oviedo to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Oviedo struggled in Monday's 5-4 win over the Giants in what was his first start in the majors since 2023, after he missed the entire 2024 campaign while recovering from Tommy John surgery and the first several months of this season while recovering from a lat strain. He yielding two runs on two hits and three walks while needing 43 pitches to cover his lone inning. With the bullpen now short after it had to cover eight innings Monday, the Pirates are replacing Oviedo with a fresh relief arm in Cam Sanders, who will be called up from Triple-A.

The Nationals will recall Cavalli from Triple-A Rochester to start Wednesday's game versus the Athletics, Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan Washington reports.

Cavalli is set to make his first start in the big leagues since August 2022, after the right-hander encountered some setbacks following his March 2023 Tommy John surgery. The 26-year-old has collected a 9.00 ERA over his last six starts with Rochester, but a 31:9 K:BB over 27 frames during that time offers more promise. He should get an opportunity to hold down a rotation spot with the Nationals for the rest of the season.

Martinez allowed two earned runs on two hits and no walks in 2.1 innings of relief in Monday's 3-2 win over the Cubs.

After starting in each of his previous seven appearances, Martinez was moved to the bullpen to open up a spot in the rotation for Zack Littell, whom the Reds acquired from the Rays ahead of the trade deadline. Martinez's stay in the bullpen could be a brief one, as he was pressed into action in long relief after starter Nick Lodolo recorded just five outs before exiting with a left index finger blister. Reds manager Terry Francona said after the game that Lodolo is likely to go on the injured list, so Martinez represents a logical choice to replace the southpaw in the rotation the next time his turn comes up this weekend in Pittsburgh. Martinez may be needed for just one start, as Cincinnati could get ace Hunter Greene (groin) back from the IL as soon as next week.

Assad (oblique) struck out two and allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk across 3.2 innings in his rehab start Wednesday with Triple-A Iowa.

After tossing three scoreless frames in his first rehab outing July 24 in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, Assad jumped up a few levels for his second outing. The right-hander got stretched out to 53 pitches (32 strikes) in the start and is expected to build upon that workload when he makes his next rehab appearance with Iowa on Wednesday, per MLB.com reports. Though Assad still appears more likely than not to work in long relief or stick around in Iowa's rotation once he's activated from the 60-day injured list, he could be needed to make starts with the big club if he ends up beating Jameson Taillon (calf) and Michael Soroka (shoulder) back from the IL.
