Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Sasaki (shoulder) threw a 39-pitch bullpen session Wednesday and is on track to face hitters at the team's spring training complex next week, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.

Sasaki resumed mound work in mid-July and he will throw another bullpen session this weekend before progressing to facing hitters. The right-hander reportedly was topping out at 90 miles per hour in previous bullpen sessions, which is notably down from the norm, but it's not clear what his velocity looked like Wednesday. Sasaki has been sidelined since mid-May with a right shoulder impingement.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Muncy (knee) will travel to the team's spring training complex in Arizona on Thursday to take live at-bats for a few days, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.

If Muncy comes out of the workout without any hiccups, he could be cleared to begin a rehab assignment. The veteran third baseman has recovered from a left knee bone bruise more quickly than expected and is tracking toward a return from the 10-day injured list in early August if all continues to go well in his recovery process.

An MRI on Casparius' right calf came back negative Wednesday, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.

Casparius first felt his calf cramping while warming up prior to an appearance in Tuesday's 10-7 loss to the Twins and he was pulled after letting four straight batters reach base. While he doesn't have any structural damage and is expected to avoid the 15-day injured list, Casparius is likely to be unavailable to pitch for a few days.

Herrera is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.

He'll take a seat for the day game after he went 0-for-4 while catching all nine innings of Tuesday night's 3-1 loss. James McCann will spell Herrera behind the plate in the series finale.

Perkins will start in center field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Following his call-up from Triple-A Nashville coming out of the All-Star break, Perkins has now started in four of the Brewers' last five games. He's gotten on base at a .357 clip thus far and has contributed a stolen base, and if he can continue to make a decent impact with the plate while bringing his usual solid defense in center field, Perkins should be able to hold down a near-everyday role until Sal Frelick (hamstring) returns from the injured list.

Thomas is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.

The Diamondbacks are facing a third straight lefty (Brandon Walter) in the series and Thomas has been absent from the lineup in all three contests. Corbin Carroll will once again start in center field for Arizona, with Randal Grichuk occupying right field.

Estrada (thumb) was spotted taking batting practice prior to the Rockies' game Wednesday against the Cardinals, Kevin Henry of The Denver Gazette reports.

Estrada was placed on the 10-day injured list last Friday due to a right thumb sprain, but because his IL stint was retroactive to a week before that date, he'll be eligible for activation at any time. His ability to take BP on Wednesday suggests a return isn't far away, but Estrada may not be cleared to play during this weekend's series in Baltimore if the Rockies decide he needs to head out on a brief rehab assignment beforehand.

Vaughn is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Seattle.

Vaughn had started each of the previous five games for the Brewers but will get some rest in Wednesday's series finale. Tyler Black will handle first base in Vaughn's stead.

Durbin is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Seattle.

For the second time during the three-game set in Seattle, the Brewers are going with Anthony Seigler over Durbin at third base. Durbin is slashing .317/.440/.463 so far this month but has now been out of the lineup on six occasions.

Toglia is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Toglia will take a seat for the second time in the series while he's batting just .155/.231/.239 with a 39.7 percent strikeout rate over his last 20 games. Kyle Farmer will get the nod at first base Wednesday, and Toglia could soon be headed back to Triple-A Albuquerque if he's unable to cut down on the strikeouts in his future starts.
