The Giants selected Gage's contract from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday

Gage will take Scott Alexander's spot on the 40- and 26-man rosters ahead of the series opener against Toronto on Friday. The 32-year-old latched on with the Giants on July 3 after starting the 2025 season with Detroit. He hasn't allowed a run in 5.1 innings with Sacramento this season and tallied a 1.67 ERA in 32.1 innings with the Tigers' Triple-A affiliate in Toledo.

Law (forearm) has a partial tear of his right flexor tendon and will undergo season-ending surgery to repair it, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Law is shooting for a mid-season return in 2026, as he'll undergo a procedure to repair a torn flexor tendon in his throwing arm. The 33-year-old had already been sidelined for the entirety of the campaign with forearm inflammation. He will be a free agent at the conclusion of the 2025 season.

Oviedo's (lat) minor-league rehab assignment was transferred from Low-A Bradenton to Double-A Altoona on Friday.

Oviedo got up to 2.2 innings in his most recent minor-league start -- his fourth of what's expected to be a lengthy rehab assignment. He hasn't pitched for the Pirates since 2023, as he missed the entire 2024 season due to Tommy John surgery before sustaining a strained lat during spring training.

The Pirates called up Peguero from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday.

As expected, Peguero will fill the hole vacated by the Pirates' trading Adam Frazier to the Royals. Peguero should provide some depth in the middle infield. He has slashed .251/.315/.369 with five home runs and eight stolen bases across 289 plate appearances with Indianapolis in 2025.

Bohm is playing third base and batting fourth in Friday's game against the Angels, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Bohm didn't play in the Phillies' last game before the All-Star break due to a bruised left rib. After having the week to rest, Bohm is back in the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Halos. He's slashing .281/.327/.395 in 379 plate appearances this season.

Peguero has a spot in the Pirates' locker room and is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday. Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

The Pirates traded Adam Frazier to Kansas City for Cam Devanney, who was immediately optioned to Triple-A, leaving an open spot on the 26-man roster. Peguero has played all four infield positions plus center field at Triple-A this season. However, he played only second base and shortstop in a brief stint with Pittsburgh earlier this year. With Frazier out of the picture, Peguero's easiest path to playing time will come in the middle infield.

Blackburn (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with the Mets' Florida Complex League affiliate Friday.

A previous report indicated Blackburn's rehab stint would begin at Single-A St. Lucie on Friday, but he'll get his start in the FCL instead. He's expected to be activated from the 15-day injured list in late July, and will likely fill a long relief role with the Mets' rotation nearly at full strength.

Butto's (illness) rehab assignment will continue at Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

Butto made an appearance with the Mets' Florida Complex League affiliate Tuesday and will continue his rehab stint at Triple-A. Considering he's recovering from an illness instead of a physical injury, Butto likely won't need more than one or two more rehab appearances before being activated.

The Mets reinstated Raley (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Friday.

Raley's recovery from Tommy John surgery is complete, and he'll join the Mets' active roster coming out of the All-Star break. He made eight appearances during a minor-league rehab assignment that spanned three levels, throwing nine scoreless innings with a 13:1 K:BB. Richard Lovelady was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Karros was promoted from Double-A Hartford to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

The 22-year-old was named MVP of the Northwest League in 2024 after posting an .875 OPS with 15 homers and 12 steals in 123 games for Hartford, and he'll now make his way to the highest level of the minors. One of Colorado's top prospects, Karros has an .861 OPS at Double-A this year and has an outside shot of making his MLB debut before the end of 2025, assuming he continues to hit well at Triple-A.
