Freeman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox due to right hamstring soreness, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

The 26-year-old started the previous seven games and went 10-for-22 over the past six contests, but the hamstring issue will force him to the bench Sunday. Freeman said that his injury isn't serious, noting that soreness and cramping with his legs sometimes happens toward the end of homestands at the higher elevation. Yanquiel Fernandez will replace Freeman in the lineup in the series finale, manning right field and batting eighth.

The Brewers transferred Mitchell (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

The transaction is merely procedural with Mitchell on track to miss the rest of the season after undergoing left shoulder surgery Tuesday. In a corresponding move, Milwaukee reinstated Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list ahead of his 2025 debut Sunday against the Marlins.

Ortiz is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Ortiz started the previous 37 games and will take a seat Sunday while he's in the midst of a 4-for-29 slump. Despite those poor numbers, the 27-year-old has been decently productive in 30 games since the start of June with four home runs, 20 RBI, 15 runs and a .263/.311/.424 slash line. Andruw Monasterio will fill in at shortstop in the series finale in Miami.

Collins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Miami.

Collins has a .951 OPS with three double, one triple and four home runs in 26 games since the start of June, but he'll take a seat for Sunday's series finale against the Marlins. Christian Yelich will move out to left field while William Contreras receives a turn at designated hitter.

Mauricio is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

On the bench for the fourth time in six games, Mauricio looks to have moved into a utility role following the return of Mark Vientos from the injured list. With Vientos settling back in at third base, Brett Baty has been getting more exposure to second base, which has closed off Mauricio's primary avenues to playing time. The switch-hitting rookie's outlook for at-bats won't improve when Jesse Winker (oblique) likely returns from the injured list during the upcoming week to give the Mets another option at designated hitter.

Bell went 3-for-4 with an RBI in Saturday's loss to the Red Sox.

The veteran switch hitter is digging his way out of an early-season hole at the plate. The three-hit performance was Bell's second in the last four games, and over his last 16 contests he's slashing .327/.377/.491 with three doubles, two homers, five runs and 11 RBI.

Hicks is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Hicks will sit for the second time in the past three games, even though the Marlins have faced a right-handed starter in all three contests. The 26-year-old has a .708 OPS with a 5:6 BB:K in his past 10 games and should continue to see at least semi-regular starts, though his grip on a strong-side platoon role appears to be slipping.

Torrens is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Torrens will receive a breather after starting each of the previous three contests. Hayden Senger will handle catching duties Sunday.

Gore will get extra rest before making his next start Wednesday in St. Louis, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.

The 26-year-old southpaw will get a full week between outings after tossing a career-high 111 pitches against the Tigers on July 2, marking his third straight start with 100-plus pitches. Gore also struck out a season-low two batters versus Detroit, so more time to recuperate seems warranted. He's still third in the NL on the season with 131 punchouts, and making a start Wednesday would put Gore on regular rest for his first All-Star Game appearance, should he get named to the squad.

Lindor went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double, four runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's win over the Yankees.

The top of the Mets' order carried the day in a 12-6 romp, with Lindor helping to set the table for Pete Alonso (two homers, five RBI) and Brandon Nimmo (second grand slam in four days). The steal was Lindor's first since June 7, and on the season the All-Star shortstop is slashing .261/.332/.455 with 17 homers, 14 pilfers, 47 RBI and 57 runs in 88 contests.
