Liberatore allowed two runs on four hits and four walks with four strikeouts over five innings Saturday against the Cubs. He didn't factor into the decision.

The left-hander issued just 12 free passes through his first 15 outings of the season, but he's now walked nine batters across his past two starts. The command issues prevented Liberatore from extending his streak of quality starts to four, but he still has a 2.25 ERA over his last four appearances. He's likely to make his final start before the All-Star break next weekend versus Atlanta.

Devenski will serve as the Mets' opening pitcher in a bullpen game Sunday against the Yankees, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

The Mets have multiple starters coming off the injured list next week, but the team will turn to Devenski and a slew of relievers to get them through Sunday's contest before an off day Monday. Devenski has not thrown more than two innings in an appearance this season at Triple-A or in the majors. Lefty Brandon Waddell is a candidate to pitch in bulk relief behind Devenski.

Schwarber went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Reds.

That's now 27 homers on the season for the 32-year-old star slugger, who sits third in the National League behind only Shohei Ohtani and Eugenio Suarez in this area. Schwarber has now recorded at least one hit in 11 of his last 16 games as well. During that span, he's slashing a potent .276/.400/.569 with five long balls, two doubles, nine RBI and three stolen bases covering 70 plate appearances.

Sosa went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Reds.

Sosa belted his third homer of the campaign, also drawing the start at second base in favor the lefty-hitting Bryson Stott versus southpaw Nick Lodolo. As long as Philadelphia's infield stays healthy, the righty-hitting Sosa should continue to be used sparingly in a weak-side platoon role at the keystone. The 29-year-old utility man has been very effective in that role, hitting .361 (12-for-61) with three homers, three doubles and 10 RBI against left-handed pitching this season.

Alexander's contract was selected from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Erik Miller was placed on the IL with a sprained elbow, and Alexander was summoned to serve as a lefty bullpen replacement. Alexander had a 13.50 ERA, 2.63 WHIP and 3:2 K:BB in 5.1 innings at Triple-A and gave up 11 earned runs in 16.1 innings with the Rockies earlier this year.

The Giants placed Miller on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to a left elbow sprain, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Miller, a 27-year-old southpaw, has a 1.50 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 22:20 K:BB in 30 innings this season. Lefty Scott Alexander was called up from Triple-A Sacramento to take Miller's place in the Giants bullpen.

Turner went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Reds.

The 32-year-old star shortstop tallied multiple hits for the third time in his past four games, also extending his hitting streak to five outings. Turner was batting just .245 and slugging .316 as of April 26, but he's found a groove over the past two months or so. Across his last 62 contests, Turner is hitting .322 (84-for-261) with 10 home runs, 14 doubles, two triples, 47 runs scored and 16 stolen bases while working as Philadelphia's everyday leadoff man.

Senga (hamstring) gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out four over 3.2 innings Saturday in his rehab start with Double-A Binghamton.

Senga was expected to throw around 60 pitches Saturday before potentially returning from the 15-day injured list next weekend. He ended up covering 68 pitches Saturday, although the results weren't great. The Mets will likely wait and see how Senga bounces back from the rehab start before deciding whether he'll require another start on the farm or if he's ready to rejoin the big-league rotation.

Snell (shoulder) will throw two innings in a rehab game next week and could return to the big-league rotation in late July, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) is set to return next week from a similar injury after needing three rehab starts, so Snell could return in late July or early August, depending on how his shoulder responds. Snell will not travel on the Dodgers' upcoming road trip but will throw a bullpen session Monday before heading out on a rehab assignment.

Manager Dave Roberts has not specified which day Glasnow will return, but given that his last rehab start was July 3, it could be July 9 in Milwaukee or on extended rest July 11 in San Francisco after the Dodgers' off day. Glasnow has an 8.31 ERA, 2.08 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB in 8.2 innings over three rehab outings and built up to 4.1 innings in his most recent start at Triple-A.
