Cincinnati selected Burns' contract from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

The Reds had already announced Monday that Burns had arrived in Cincinnati and was set to start Tuesday's game against the Yankees, but the team waited a day to make his call-up official. Regarded as one of the top pitching prospects in baseball, Burns reached the big leagues after blazing through three levels of the minors this season. Over stops with High-A Dayton, Double-A Chattanooga and Louisville, Burns turned in a 1.77 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 89:13 K:BB in 66 innings across 13 starts. While the Reds are likely to keep a close eye on the 22-year-old's workload over the rest of the season, he possesses the skill set to make a big splash in the majors right away. The Reds optioned reliever Yosver Zulueta to Triple-A to clear room on the active roster for Burns.

The transaction frees a roster spot for right-hander Chase Burns, who has been called up to start Tuesday's game against the Yankees. Zulueta had just been recalled Sunday and did not make an appearance out of the bullpen during his most recent stint in the majors.

Suarez (hand) won't be included in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

X-rays on Suarez's right hand came back negative after he was struck by a pitch in his lone plate appearance in Monday's 10-0 win, but he'll get at least one game off while he waits for the soreness and bruising on his hand to subside. Arizona will likely turn to Ildemaro Vargas or Tim Tawa to fill in for Suarez at third base.

Naylor (shoulder) will be in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Naylor had to be removed from Monday's contest in Chicago after tweaking his right shoulder on a swing. However, he has avoided a serious injury and will be back in there a day later. Naylor has collected an .824 OPS with nine home runs over 75 games for the Diamondbacks this season.

House went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Padres.

The 22-year-old rookie notched his first extra-base hit in the majors with his ninth-inning two-bagger. While House's power hasn't shown up yet for the Nationals, he's surprisingly stolen two bags in two attempts over eight MLB games after failing in his only attempt in 65 contests for Triple-A Rochester prior to his promotion. Through his first 35 plate appearances for the Nats, House is slashing .250/.286/.281.

Abrams went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Padres.

Facing the team he made his big-league debut with in 2022 after being a first-round pick in 2019, Abrams had another impressive performance from the top of the Nationals' order. The 24-year-old shortstop has seven multi-hit efforts in his last 14 games, a blistering stretch in which he's slashing .368/.455/.596 with three homers, five steals, six RBI and 17 runs scored.

Mattson allowed one hit and struck out three across 1.2 scoreless innings to earn a hold Monday against the Brewers.

The Pirates deployed a bullpen approach Monday, and Mattson was tasked with holding the lead in the seventh and eighth innings. He faced the top five hitters in the Brewers' order and allowed only a single to William Contreras. Mattson could be a candidate to see more consistent high-leverage spots moving forward, as he delivered a 9:2 K:BB across 10.1 innings while allowing only two earned runs with a 0.58 WHIP since being recalled June 7.

Law (forearm) will have his rehab assignment moved from Double-A Harrisburg to Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The veteran reliever has given up three runs on four hits and a walk in 2.2 innings over two appearances for Harrisburg, but he built up to 33 pitches in his latest outing Sunday. Law, who has yet to pitch for Washington this season due to a forearm issue that cropped up in the spring, is on track to join the big-league bullpen by early July, and he could slot into a setup role in front of closer Kyle Finnegan.

Crews (oblique) is accompanying the Nationals on a West Coast road trip which runs through June 29, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

While being allowed to travel with the team is encouraging, the 23-year-old outfielder doesn't appear to be close to coming off the IL as he recovers from an oblique strain. Crews is still limited to running on a treadmill at about 85-90 percent intensity, and he isn't yet taking full swings with a bat or doing on-field work. "I know he's itching to hit some balls, but we've got to really be careful right now, be cautious," manager Dave Martinez said Monday. "He's on a really good path right now. Everything looks good. We don't want to rush him. We want to make sure that when he comes out of this, he's 100 percent." Crews has been sidelined since May 20, and a firm target date for his return won't come into focus until he's ready to begin a rehab assignment.

Soto went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to Atlanta.

He provided the Mets' only offense when he took Spencer Schwellenbach deep in the sixth inning. Nine of Soto's 17 homers on the season have come since May 31, a stretch of 22 games in which he's slashing .324/.485/.730 with 17 RBI, 21 runs and an elite 22:13 BB:K.
