May allowed one run on seven hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out eight over six innings in a no-decision versus the Reds on Friday.

This was an improved outing for May, who had walked four batters in each of his previous two starts. This also was his first quality start since he tossed a one-hitter versus the Padres on June 15. May is at a 4.59 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 103:33 K:BB through 104 innings over 20 starts this season. The veteran right-hander's next start is projected to be at home versus the Cubs.

De La Cruz went 1-for-4 with a walk, two stolen bases and a run scored in Friday's 4-2 win over the Cardinals.

While De La Cruz has just two hits over his last four games, he's also logged four steals in that span. The shortstop hasn't been as prominent on the basepaths this season due to hamstring and ankle injuries that bookended his June, but he's starting to pick up the pace again. He's batting .276 with an .852 OPS, 17 home runs, 18 steals, 46 RBI, 56 runs scored, 15 doubles and four triples through 83 contests on the year.

Suarez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Friday's 4-2 win over the Cardinals.

Suarez's seventh-inning blast put the Reds ahead for good. It was his fifth homer in his last eight games, and he's also logged a trio of multi-hit efforts in that span. For the season, the veteran slugger is batting .213 with a .699 OPS, 14 homers, 39 RBI, 27 runs scored, 11 doubles and no stolen bases over 73 games.

Pagan struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 4-2 win over the Cardinals.

Pagan has earned three saves over the last four days and has 10 saves on the season. He's allowed a modest two runs -- both in non-save situations -- over 6.1 innings since he returned from a hamstring injury at the end of June. He has a 5.31 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 21:8 K:BB through 20.1 innings and looks to have a fairly firm grasp on the closer role at this time.

Lowder put together a bounce-back effort after getting rocked for eight runs over 2.1 innings in Colorado in his last appearance. While Friday's effort wasn't enough to get him back in the win column for the first time since April, it was at least a step in the right direction. He has posted a 5.61 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 65:37 K:BB through 77 innings over 18 appearances (15 starts) this season. Lowder isn't guaranteed another turn through the rotation since Nick Lodolo (finger blister) is eligible to return from the injured list during next week's home series versus the Guardians.

Zuber (0-1) recorded the loss Friday against the Padres, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out two in two-thirds of an inning.

Zuber entered with the game tied at two in the eighth inning before allowing the eventual game-winning two-run homer to Luis Rengifo. Zuber allowed his first earned run since July 1 and his fourth homer. On the campaign, the 31-year-old now owns a 5.65 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB in 14.1 innings.

Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a run scored and two strikeouts during Miami's 4-2 loss to San Diego on Friday.

Hernandez tied the game at two in the fifth inning with a solo home run. The 26-year-old belted his first homer since July 10 against Cleveland, before the midseason break took place. On the campaign, Hernandez has slashed .250/.322/.491 with 14 homers and 38 RBI in 258 plate appearances.

Mack went 1-for-4 with a homer, a run scored and a strikeout in Miami's 4-2 loss to San Diego on Friday.

Mack opened up the scoring in the second inning with a solo homer to give the Marlins the early lead. The 23-year-old now has three home runs in his past four games. On the season, the rookie is slashing .243/.298/.446 with 10 homers and 30 RBI in 194 plate appearances.

Gusto did not factor into the decision in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Padres, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while striking out four over 3.1 innings.

Gusto left the game after 57 pitches (37 strikes) with one out into the fourth. The 27-year-old pitched on just two days' rest after recording two innings of work against Houston on Tuesday. On the campaign, Gusto now owns a 4.50 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 31:11 K:BB in 34 innings.

Miller picked up the save Friday against the Marlins, striking out one batter over a perfect inning.

Miller continued his unbelievable 2026 campaign, inducing groundouts from Joe Mack and Otto Lopez before striking out Kyle Stowers to end the game. The closer now possesses a 0.84 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 79:15 K:BB in 42.2 innings this season. Miller is tied with Riley O'Brien and Bryan Baker with 26 saves, which is good for second-best in MLB.
