Priester will undergo thoracic outlet compression surgery on Monday and is expected to be sidelined 8-to-10 months, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Priester has dealt with thoracic outlet symptoms since last season, and he attempted unsuccessfully to treat it with rest and rehab. After consulting with Dr. Gregory Pearl on Tuesday, the decision was made to have surgery. Priester expects to be ready to go for the beginning of next season, but the track record of pitchers coming back from this type of procedure isn't great.

Alvarez went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI in Wednesday's win over the Reds.

Getting the start at DH and batting sixth, Alvarez delivered his first three-hit performance of 2026. The 24-year-old backstop has hit safely in six of seven games since returning in early June from knee surgery, batting .320 (8-for-25) in that span with a homer, two runs and three RBI.

Triple-A Lehigh Valley placed Holman on its 7-day injured list May 30 due to an unspecified injury.

After claiming Holman off waivers from the Tigers on May 7, the Phillies optioned him to Triple-A. Before landing on the shelf, he made five relief appearances for Lehigh Valley and turned in a 7.11 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 12:3 K:BB in 6.1 innings.

Ruiz went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Phillies.

Getting the start in left field and batting ninth even with right-hander Andrew Painter on the mound for Philly, Ruiz put together his first three-hit performance of the season. Over his last 12 games, the 27-year-old is batting an eye-popping .435 (10-for-23) with four doubles, two homers, four steals, four RBI and six runs as he pushes for more than a part-time role in the Marlins' outfield. With Kyle Stowers needed at first base and Owen Caissie still struggling to make anything close to consistent contact, there could be a path for Ruiz to claim a starting job.

Marsee went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's win over the Phillies.

The center fielder ended a 28-game homer drought when he took Chase Shugart deep in the ninth inning to cap a 12-4 romp. Marsee's working his way through a rough sophomore slump, but he has hit safely in eight of the last 10 games, although he hasn't had a multi-hit performance since May 29. On the season, the 24-year-old is slashing .202/.326/.308 with four home runs, 17 steals, 18 RBI and 39 runs in 73 contests.

Mack went 2-for-3 with a walk, a two-run home run and two additional runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Phillies.

The rookie catcher took Tanner Banks deep in the sixth inning, one of five Miami homers in as 12-4 rout. Mack has gone yard twice in his last three games, and through 12 contests in June, he's slashing .361/.452/.667 with two doubles, three home runs, eight runs and 10 RBI as he solidifies his spot as the team's catcher of both the present and the future.

Caissie went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Phillies.

The Marlins launched five homers in total, with Caissie's coming to lead off the second inning against Andrew Painter and helping to not only chase the young right-hander from the game, but off Philly's big-league roster entirely. Caissie has just three hits in his last six games, but two of them have left the yard. On the season he's slashing a shaky .209/.268/.384 with seven homers, three steals, 20 runs, 36 RBI and a brutal 40.4 percent strikeout rate in 63 contests.

Junk (shin) was able to throw a light bullpen session earlier this week and could throw a higher-intensity side session in the coming days, MLB.com reports.

Once Junk incorporates all of his pitches in a full-intensity session, he'll move on to facing hitters before eventually heading out on a rehab assignment. After landing on the 15-day injured list May 31 due to right shin bone inflammation, Junk appears to be tracking for a late-June or early-July return from the shelf.

Riley went 4-for-9 with a double and an RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Giants.

After banging out a double in the first game, a contest suspended from Tuesday due to inclement weather, Riley stayed productive with three singles in the nightcap. The veteran third baseman has yet to homer in June, however, with his power drought standing at 23 games during which he's slashed .208/.311/.286 with four RBI. Wednesday's performance was encouraging, but Riley has a long way to go to climb out of an early-season hole that has him sitting with a career-low .647 OPS and just eight long balls through 73 contests.

Olson went 4-for-8 with a walk and a run scored across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Giants.

All four knocks were singles, but it was still a productive twin bill for the first baseman. Olson extended his hitting streak to seven games in the process, and through 13 contests in June he's slashing .346/.375/.596 with a double, four home runs, six RBI and 11 runs.
